    we saw the truck and decided to give it a try. they started off at a very high price and came down to a much lower price for a package deal. So we bought a package. When we got home and figured out the cost, it was still very expensive. The meat looked good in the packages. Some of the meat was pre-seasoned. Not a taste we cared for. every packaged we tried was very tough and poorly butchered. We tried the New York strips last night. They were so tough, neither my wife or I could eat. I cut them up into little pieces and will put them in the crockpot to try and make them edible. The ******* patties were not bad. They are an almost light brown color. they sure don't look like 100% beef. never again. we have decided to cook the rest in a crock-pot. then at least we'll be able to chew it.

    Backyard butchers meat is terrible. I spent $300 and the meat is less than mediocre. Actually mediocre is too good of a word to describe this meat. *********************. Go to your local meat market instead. I will never again spend another dollar on this company. Big fat F-..

    These guys are only impersonating a butcher . SUPER LOW QUALITY PRODUCTS ALL AROUND .THEY GIVE YOU THE OLD SMOKE AND MIRRORS - The meats are not usda select or choice or Prime. Everyone gets a different price- some Paid 389$ for the same thing others paid 150$ for. Guess when you plan to only sell someone one time you soak them for as much as possible .

    I just read thru some of the reviews and I am so surprised by their experiences. We purchased a steak box and chicken box and we have been extremely satisfied. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because we haven't tried everything yet and I do think that it was alittle expensive. The meat is tender and full of flavor. I have recommend Backyard Butchers to my friends and family and plan on purchasing again in the future.

    I need to speak to someone from this business as soon as possible. We are located in ******** ** area. We recently made a purchase on 4-22-2023. We are VERY dissatisfied with the product we received. The texture is down right horrible and the food only looks enticing while still in the package, but at the very moment you open it, it is very noticable. My husband got into contact with someone on the **************** team by email and they stated that they wouldn't give us a full refund although only 4x6.6 oz sirloin strips were opened out of our over 500$ purchase and we still have all of the original packages. This communication was started on April 28, 2023 at approximately 10:56am EST. This was Monday May 1, 2023 that it was decided they would call me- his wife at 8AM on Tuesday May 2, 2023 to speak about these issues. The customer service department even confirmed this time by email with my husband on May 1, 2023 at 12:56. I've not received any calls. Come to find out they are CLOSED on Tuesdays for "restocking" per their website. Uncalled for. They also stated that our full refund wouldn't be issued but only 389$. Which isn't close to what we paid. I called again 3x today and even messaged with someone online and no one is getting back to us regarding the poor quality of the meat we received or the refund. They stated that we would need to send the purchase back and I am willing to do that today. But can't if there is no communication from them. The phone when called 3x today is still stating closed. We are a 1 income family at the moment and we need our refund so we can go and buy food at the grocery store for our family. When I say the texture is bad, I mean it is profusely oozing content-whatever it may be.

Our onsite butcher shops are closed on Tuesday but our *************************** is open and available to assist customers. Our team assist thousands of customers every week so our responses might not be immediate but our team will get back to you in a timely manner. This purchase was refunded in full and the customer was sent a refund receipt via email.

    The meat was terrible. After being defrosted it was grey and fatty. We cooked it and it was tough and tasted awful. Not to mention the size of each piece was so small. I wanted a refund and the chat/employees I spoke with were not helpful and kept talking in circles unable to help me get my money back.

    Backyard butchers are the worst meats Ive ever had. Worst tasting tough and fatty.we all got very sick from it and ended up throwing $300 of meats away. Buyer beware with this company. If I could give a negative one star, I would.

    Purchased this meat from ********, ** outside of a Tractor Supply. I was super impressed with the salesman who sold ** an entire steak variety box and 20 additional Ribeyes for $150. As an avid BBQer I was excited to have this meat for the next month! When we got home and thawed 4 of the steaks, they immediately looked grey. I attempted to char them in my grill with no luck, and was left with an oily, gray steak. These were disgusting to eat - almost inedible. The comments around the table were that they looked like dog food, and ended up in our dogs food bowl instead. I am embarrassed that I fell for this scam, and am hoping I can return tomorrow for full refund. This steak was possibly the worst I have ever had. It is comparable to dollar store steak at best, and that is being generous. This company flourishes off of 1 on 1 sales with the customer, although I am amazed they are still in business. Extremely disappointed I fell for this. Stomach is hurting, wallet is hurting. ****** learned.
