1 starI was trying to become a customer with ********************, Plano, **. The first salesman was professional. I was advised to speak with the "Director of Finance" to discuss the application process. He was unprofessional and very dismissive. After being transferred back and discussing the situation with another employee from the finance department, I am glad I did not do business with Auto Merchants, Inc. God truly protected me from the purchasing a vehicle from this business. For potential customers: don't ignore the red flags when trying to spend your hard-earned money (bad customer service, etc).Auto Merchants, Inc.

*** we understand you are not understanding that a pre-qualification is not the same as a pre-approval. It happens a lot that people mix those up. Even people get things in the mail that say this as well but it is not real! There was a misunderstanding with you and the finance department. You were not approved but you assumed you were. We told you this, of course we would want to sell you a car. Don't be like that and leave a bad review because you were not approved that is not very fair to do. We told you what the requirements to be able to get one of our banks to approve you so we are trying but we are not able to just approve anyone. 1 starI brought a Acura mdx 2020 from auto merchant in Plano back in December 2023 in February the A1 service light came on I took it to ****** Acura in grapevine into seconds in servicing the vehicle the service guy came out to show me that the brakes were down into the rotors and to get it fix along with other things wrong with the vehicle the cost would be over a thousand dollar i asked about inspection would it had passed inspection with the brakes like that they told me No it wouldnt have I got home called motor vehicle I asked could you tell me if a truck has gone through inspection they asked for the *** # the lady called out the make and model and year I said yes she said Im sorry Ms your vehicle has never gone through inspection she told me she was emailing me some documents fill them out sent them back through email I did based on all this information there was and investigation in the mean time I called spoke to the ** he literally laughed at me I got the brakes fixed while I was waiting I went over to the show room asked a sales guy if i wanted to trade what would my numbers look like first thing he asked for the *** number he said to me did they give you the car fax on this vehicle I said he to me it was minor scratches No accidents the sales guy said this truck has been through 2 major accidents and that wasnt all the vehicle was stolen they got the vehicle from Chicago vehicle ****** Acura allowed me to trade motor vehicle came back told me there was know findings that auto merchant did any thing wrong oh I never got the car fax from auto merchant they never gave me a copy other than there was only minor scratches I was to get the refund of my extended warranty told me the check was cashed by auto merchant and the date she sent me proof first thing they asked me for did I have proof this dealership lie cheat and steal investigations is something they know how to pass WARNING DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIPAuto Merchants, Inc.

****,We have already responded to you numerous times, stop spreading lies, we have actual proof you are lying, and you were swindled by that dealership... They got the car from you on trade for low after telling you it was a bad car and then they sold it for more than what you bought it from us for to another person, also have proof of this... Hope that tells you something Tell someone what they have is not worth much and is bad but then sell it to someone else for more and say its good. You think they helped you then you don't know any better, which brings me to our farewell to you. 1 star*************'s has a reputation for selling "bad tilted" or "salvaged title" vehicles. They were not upfront with me about the condition of the car and I didn't receive a Carfax on the 2016 Infiniti Q50 I purchased. This was bad deal from the start, poor customer service, I recently preformed more research on the Auto Merchants past sales and found. They have listings of known sales concerning lemon vehicles. I received a phone call from management at Auto Merchants trying to intimidate me and threaten me. They indicated a counter-lawsuit would be filed due to my personal experience as a customer along with the review I had left on their websites. I do believe that they're a bunch of crooks and thieves and that's their method of business. Do not do business with Auto Merchants. The only reason I was doing business with them was because the vehicle was in my target price range. If I had known I was purchasing a lemon. I would have walked out the door the very same day. I think they are the ones writing their reviews to maintain a somewhat decent rating. Don't purchase any vehicles from Auto Merchants they sell lemon cars. *****,We understand you are mad that your engine went out on your vehicle but trying to blackmail us and post all over the internet false accusations is very *****. As I have mentioned before it is your responsibility to service and do regular maintenance on your vehicle. It is not our fault your engine went out when you waited ****** miles to perform your first oil change after owning the car for 8 months... In just a bit over a year you added about 30k miles on the vehicle and performed only 2 oil changes.. that is not good maintenance on your vehicle YOU own. Some Infiniti dealers recommend every 3-4k miles on their website, you did not do one for ****** miles!!! You bought the car with 77k miles ( we did an oil change before you purchased the vehicle at 77k miles) the next oil change was done at 94k miles within your ownership... this is probably why your engine gave out due not maintaining your vehicle and driving about double the average mileage per year while not performing timely oil changes. There was nothing wrong with your vehicle mechanically when you purchased it but not servicing your car in a timely manner will cause problems to your engine and that is what happened. We have every single document of the car/history/disclosures and everything signed there was nothing hidden from you whatsoever. You also did not purchase an extended warranty and purchased the vehicle as-is as it was a 7 year old vehicle with 77k miles (10k miles driven per year compared to your 30k miles in 1 year driven)@BBB we can provide any proof you would like to show the customer is spreading false information all over the internet if you would like anything at all please ask.We even offered to help the customer fix their self damaged engine at our cost as a courtesy but the customer thinks they can drive a car hard without doing maintenance on it then just blame the dealership if there's an issue over a year later due to lack of regular maintenance...Bottom line... it is a used car that was sold as-is and the owner did not maintain it well causing the engine to go bad.Review fromKevin M

5 starsInquired online about a car and then set up an appointment for the next day. The dealership was very large and had a lot of nice cars, many very high end more than what I was looking for. *********** was ******* he was very polite and not pushy. I ended up getting another vehicle than originally going in for that he recommended and I could not be happier with my decision and his recommendation. They have ************* and variety to choose from. Also the financing was very quick never had a car deal done faster. Thanks to ******* and ***** in finance.Review fromLyndsey E

5 starsI have never purchased a car online, so this was a new experience for me, one that i was very cautious about. However, ****** was very professional and knowledgeable. He patiently answered all my questions and provided very timely feedback. There was no pressure whatsoever. I purchased a 2022 ******** SUV and it was delivered in less than a week! 5 starsI had worked with some awful dealerships and decided to drive up to ****** because they had more inventory and more reputable dealers than the ones in my area. The dealership was very large and had many nice vehicles inside the showroom. We worked with ****** who was very considerate to our needs and actually treated us like people, rather than just a quick sale. We were able to test drive the car and even gave us a route that would give us good drive time. The application process was easy, and financing was less than 20min. The interest rate even beat my credit Union. Spoke with some other customers while waiting for our car to arrive from cleaning and they were also agreeing with the quality of service they received. Very happy with my purchase and going to a restaurant ****** recommended to us on our way back home.Auto Merchants, Inc.

1 starBought Expedition in Feb 2023, and agreed upon two replace/repair items. Called/texted/voicemail left about 10 to 15 since the purchase to get the items done. Tried calling sales manager- they wont allow you to talk to them. They schedule repair then cancel, reschedule and cancel over 5 times now. Feels like their goal is to just get you to go away.Auto Merchants, Inc.

*** ******, I also responded to another negative review you left online with this same message. We apologize we have not been able to make the extra key for you. Our key guy we always have used has recently passed away... We are currently in the works of finding another person who can come to our dealership to make extra keys. I believe it is just a key you have been waiting for?
If you have a 3rd party key company that can come to you to make the key we can pay for that no problem. We apologize the key issues have been going on since we lost our key company and we have not been able to meet your needs.
Please email me directly @ [email protected] with the best contact number for you and I will ensure this issue is resolved. I don't want to make any more excuses but losing our key guy it is hard to find another one as good as he was, a lot of them make appointments with us then cancel on us or don't show up. Unfortunately these are all 3rd party companies and it is reflecting on our business negatively but will make sure you are taken care of!Auto Merchants, Inc.
