While shopping at this store I encountered a situation where they were charging for things that belonged on the food product. When realizing what they were doing I asked for a refund because I did not no longer wanted to do business with this company. I bought a set of items from buc-ees. A BBQ sandwich chicken box with fries and 2 drinks. I was charged both ***** and ***** for this transaction. I reported to buc-ees email with no response as of yet. On 3/23 I went to Buc-ees in ********************. I came up to a bank of registers and employee rang me up, not knowing, my card was short, the employee didnt know how to cancel the ***** transaction taken from my card since I decided not to purchase she had to call the mgr over and he didnt know what to do and assured me he will cancel the transaction in the office or he was working on it. my son pain for the sandwich and drink with cash, the ***** charge was never cancelled and it was debited and I received zero merchandise. The company has no phone number you can dial, I have emailed and I havnt received an answer. I cant call any number, I have left a review asking them to contact me and nothing. Its been 2 months and I have yet to be able to talk to a live person.Initial Complaint

Yesterday, May 11th, 2025, I stopped in a Buc-ee's in ************. This was after driving down the road and seeing numerous billboards advertising a $1 off per gallon with a car wash. I did not need a car wash, but the discount seemed appealing, so I decided to stop and get a car wash with my gas. Above the car wash entrance was a giant electronic sign advertising the gas price that came with the car wash. I wanted to make sure I got the process right so I clicked the "help" button but after several minutes, no intercom or attendant came. I then just paid for my car wash and kept my receipt. I went into the store, showed my receipt, and asked to put gas on a pump outside. They said I was supposed to buy my gas first and at the pump pay for the car wash. There was no warning of this. The manager said there was nothing he could do. I felt it would've been reasonable for him to give me the discount manually but he said he couldn't. I asked for store credit and he said no. I asked for a refund and he said no. I filed a complaint on the website like the manager told me to and I haven't received anything, more than 24 hours later. I feel I deserve even more than a refund at this point after all the hassle and poor and condescending treatment from the staff regarding this false advertising. It was clearly designed to intentionally mislead consumers into buying car washes and being stuck without their discounts.Initial Complaint

On the evening of Easter Sunday I was traveling to ******* with my child and his friend. We stopped at Buc-ees for gas and snacks. After fueling up at the pump, my Jeep wouldnt start. The vehicle at the pump next to us wouldnt start either. After some tine, I was able to get it started and move it to a parking spot but there was still something wrong. Being Easter Sunday and 4 hours from home, I decided wed stay the night in ****** and figure things out in the morning. Went back to Buc-ees in the morning and my jeep was still having issues. I decided to rent a car, go to ******* for the ****** game we had tickets to that night and come back in the morning where I had arranged for my Jeep to be towed back to ****************. I went inside and while the kids were getting snacks, I talked to an associate and explained my situation. I asked her if it would be ok to leave my Jeep overnight and have it towed home the next day. She assured me that yes, it would be fine to leave. I even rephrased my question, I wasnt concerned that anyone would break in it, I was worried that the store wouldnt allow it. Again, she assured me that it would be fine. The next morning, I came back and it was gone, Buc-ees had towed it. I went inside and talked to the *** I believe her name was *******. She said she knew nothing about it but gave me the number to the tow company. I explained to her that I was told it was fine to leave it there. She said they would pull the cameras to find out if the associate told me false information but wouldnt tell me what would be done, if anything, about it. I followed up in person later that afternoon to find out if she in fact pulled the cameras like she said but I was told she couldnt tell me what was found from the footage. Buc-ees owes me a $125 towing fee plus $20 Lyft fee to the tow yard. This was unacceptable. I was given misinformation and then basically ignored.Initial Complaint

On 4/28/25 I stopped @ the ********, ***** location on my way to ***********, **. I ended up leaving my cell phone in one of the shopping baskets. I called my niece on my brothers phone to see if she could call the store. The # has a recording directing you to the website, A form needs to be filled out in order for them to acknowledge, BUT the last 4 digits of a CC must be provided, I paid with cash in the store. I did purchase gas afterwards and provided that cc #. However, if you dont provide the cc# you cant continue with the form. My niece filled this out on my behalf, no response was received, so I drove back to the store. They did have the phone, again, there was no response from Buc-ees. I spoke with the Manager, *****, she acknowledged she read the form my niece filed out but its Corporate policy to not respond until the issue is resolved. She also admitted she didnt know the phone had been turned in. Buc-ees needs to implement a policy that they at least respond to the customers inquiry and that its being looked into. I drove a total of 500 miles RT on 4/29 to get an answer that should have been provided by Buc-ees.Initial Complaint

On Monday, March 24, 2025, my husband and I stopped in at Buc-ees's located at ********************************************. We first stopped in the bathroom, before shopping in the store. While I was in the bathroom, I accidentally left my phone on the counter, where I had set it down to wash my hands. I left the bathroom, and we shopped in the store, leaving after this to go home to ******, *****, 30 miles away. When we got home and were unpacking the car, I noticed my phone was gone, and I remembered where I had set it down. To verify it was there, I checked my status on a phone locator that I had access to through the internet from my laptop. It was unmistakably there. I looked into contacting the store so they could put it in a hold area or find a way to get it to me. I could not find any working phone numbers to contact anyone. I did leave a message on their online form about a lost item. I was contacted back and told that they had found my phone. My address was acquired. I was then informed they would have to send it to headquarters as they did not have a way to mail it from that facility. I was also told I would get some coupons and small free items that would encourage me to come back to the store, as they appreciated me as a customer. I have not received my phone, and I cannot find any way to contact anyone about this.I desperately need my phone as I am blind and cannot drive. I use my phone for ride service and to contact people about my safety. On 4/11/2025, I had to have a police ****** home from my work, as **** and Lyft were requested, but when they approached my area, they could not find me and would leave. I was charged for 2 extra items because the cashier scanned them twice. I purchased 3 (1 adult small, 1 youth small, and 1 youth XS) pink tshirts with the Buc-ees logo in the middle of a leopard print Texas with cactus (BUC TX CACTUS PNK $14.98) for myself and both of my daughters and accompanied me along with my husband, and a pink Southern Couture blankets with pink cowgirl boots, cowgirl hats, and horse shoes all over it (SCTR SUPER SOFT **** $24.98). The blanket and the youth XS shirt were scanned twice. The time of the transaction at the bottom of the receipt reads 22:47:37, the transaction number reads *****, and the last details at the bottom of the receipt read POS: 50 Cashier: 50, - 2. The register where we checked out at was on the left hand side of the store as youre facing the exit next to the womens gifts/souvenirs. The amount of my refund should be $43.25. This includes the 2 items I was charged twice for, plus tax. All I want is my money back that is rightfully mine. Buc-ees makes it impossible to communicate about issues such as this because there is no way to speak with a PERSON. This is poor business practice and there should be a number to contact to speak with someone regarding matters such as this.Initial Complaint

I rent a car and traveled an hour and half to this location. There was four of us and we spent well over two hundred dollars. Decided to get gas on the way out The props went so fast I guess I Selected the car wash not knowing Guess at a discount. It only calls twenty Dollars to to fill the car up at regular gas prices. I immediately went outside and told them that I see. I was charged for a car wash that I didn't need. I was met with so much rudeness and immediately told there was nothing they could do (by a gang of employees). And was told I could use the car wash within a year. I don't plan to come back anytime soon and I don't need a $16 car wash. So when I ask, can they just cancel the transaction and charge me regular price for the gas- immediately It was no. so they did nothing to resolve the issue. So now I'm stuck with a receipt with a $16 car wash code that I will never use. Cause I'm not going back . And the worst part is there's a number on the receipt to call for issues and ************ call that number and it just gives you a repeat message over and ******* basically there's no resolution if you have a problem.Initial Complaint

On 3/1/2025 I went to the Buc-ees car wash in *********************. Approximately 4:05 pm I had just entered the car wash and hear a loud pop and my cars tire pressure immediately dropped to 0 on the drivers side rear tire. I pulled out and immediately hailed a Buc-ees employee indicating something in the car wash had damaged my vehicle. They immediately took pictures of the flat tire and inside the car and filled out a form. They also gave me a form and told me Buc-ees had insurance and they would compensate for the damage to the tire. I filled out the form and sent that to Buc-ees on 3/4/2025 after finally getting my tire repaired and heading back home. On March 12th I got an email response from Buc-ees stating they would not compensate for the tire because the car wash did not malfunction and the only things to touch my car were water, soap and a foam finger. They said they watched the video but could not provide that same video footage to the public to show me nothing malfunctioned in the car wash to damage my tire. I do not believe Buc-ees for one second that nothing damaged my tire out of the ordinary. That's why they will not even show me a screenshot from the footage showing the damage because they know they are in the wrong. Im disappointed and would like a second review of the footage because there was an audible noise when something impacted my tire and ripped out the stem valve I do not believe this was incidental. They are refusing to compensate someone for a damage to their vehicle caused by their equipment.
