As a repair shop that dealt with this company, I have to say in all my years in the car business and dealing with numerous extended warranties, thus one is one shady company. After inspecting the customers car, obtaining the proper authorization, even conceding $500 in labor off of my estimate, this company would not pay what they authorized and gave a cockamamy excuse as to why they wouldn't pay WHAT THEY AGREED TO! I suggest to all who consider thus warranty... don't!!!! They play the odds that no one will ever take them to court for breach of contract with the repair facility saving them thousands if not millions of dollars overall and putting it right back on the contract holder and repair facilities. Some day I hope someone has the gonads to sue them and make then stop these completely shady business practices. I stood up to them and then handed the problem off to my manager who then caved. I'm so disappointed with this warranty company. Everything was done correctly and in good faith but when the repair was done they go what can only be described as scam artist mode.

I have the 4 star extended warranty from MAP (Motorist Assistance Plan) through *** and my car has an oil leak at the timing chain cover, I called MAP and ran it by them, they told me that I need to bring it to a shop to diag the issue, and they would need to submit the estimate to them for approval. I bought it to my local dealership, they diagnosed the issue, they emailed the quote to MAP, they reached out tot he shop, talked them down a little, then approved the work. The dealership did the work, and they had to reach out to MAP for a waterpump as they noticed the bearing was starting to go. They received the approval for the waterpump also, but at a discounted price and they refused any labor for the replacement. The dealership agreed to this, and MAP issued a new claim number for the added part and the dealership finished the job. When it was time for MAP to pay for the job, and they refused to pay the invoice. Even though they approved the original work, and the additional part. I called them when the shop told me that they denied the payment, and they wouldn't go over the numbers with me, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, they denied that too. I am at a loss. I have no idea how to proceed, as the dealership will not release my car without payment, and they will not pay the itemized invoice that they had agreed to. Can you say breach of contract?

Its a hassle doing any business with these people. A few service **** have complained about trying to contact them and I bought a lemon so it is always breaking down. I had a tech who just diagnosed my car for parts and this c*** company needed to send out an inspector to confirm the parts were bad. The shipment of the parts from the warranty company was supposed to take a week but, nope, they needed an inspector out there to confirm the tech's diagnosis which took the week the parts were supposed to ship. Now I have to wait an extra week for my car because this s*** company doesn't trust their own dealerships for a good diagnostic.

Would not cover all the hours that the ***** dealership estimated it would take to fix problems so Im out almost 500 bucks. I called warranty company and woman was extremely hateful with me. Told me if I didnt like it to take it elsewhere. Closest dealership is 35 miles away and I would have to have it towed. Will never ever buy from again.

Well run scam. I pray everyone who is considering this company finds this page first. Dishonest and shady business practice. Rude, agressive and highly unprofessional representatives. I can't say enough how badly I wish these kinds of places didn't exist in the world and that dishonest people would stop making a living taking advantage of others. Especially the elderly. Stay away from this company and any of their associated entities. I was responsible for managing an account after the account holder could not manage and therefore, I am not a direct customer. Which they will likely respond as such as you can see by the gaslighting they respond with to other ratings.

If there was a way I could give zero stars I would I work in the car business for eight years and I have sold EFG Warranty I will tell you right away that EFG is the reason why mechanics and Auto services Bad reviews, they lie to you and tell you that Their policy is one of the strongest policies around, but it is not. We had too many issues with this company so we changed them and have had outstanding reviews sets on hand vehicle for my mom with the platinum coverage an Audi A3. And the reason why gave them the full platinum coverage is because its Audi and its expensive and I will tell you Ive had nothing but hard times with this company approving and paying for the warranty. Ive used it **************************************************************************** to get it replaced. They did not cover that second time I had an engine oil leak. The engine pan gasket was leaking and they replaced the gasket and the bolts as well as the pan, they only covered half of that and wanted us to pay for the labor because the labor was too high so we had to pay 1200 out of pocket at the Audi dealership in **********. The third time is right now when my policy is about to end and they will not cover those components in the pamphlet it shows you that it is covered and they do not send you the full warranty coverage for the plan so they actually get to pick and choose what to cover. Im highly disappointed in this company. I feel like they are using Not paying out on what they promise and remind you again I bought the Platinum coverage so that is the biggest and highest coverage that they carry for Audi and they have not fully paid for one warranty issue

****************,Thank you for your review. We were able to locate a contract under your mothers name and research her recent claim with us. The specific mechanical failure she experienced is not covered under her contract, which is why her claim was denied. Our team is working to reach you and your mother by phone to walk you through her coverage to make sure you fully understand the coverage and answer any additional questions you have. Thanks again for the post and the opportunity to explain the coverages within the contract that she purchased.

****************, Thank you for your post. Thank you for spending time with us on the phone when we reached out to you and your mother to walk you through the coverages included in the vehicle service contract that she purchased. Per our discussion, she purchased the used vehicle level of coverage through the dealership with which you do business. While it is disappointing to learn that the vehicle service contract may have been represented as bumper to bumper coverage at the time she purchased her vehicle, the contract specifically includes a list of clearly outlined vehicle parts that it covers. As such, we cannot cover parts that are excluded from that contract, as is the case with her most recent claim. We would also like to assure you that EFG comes to work every day with a goal of providing a superior customer experience and honoring the terms of our contracts so that our customers can get back on the road. We hope that your mothers car has been repaired to her satisfaction and that shes back on the road safely as well. Thanks again for your post.

Witnessed them taking advantage of a deaf person who can't read or understand contracts too well. When we called to cancel contract, becuase they worm out of any of it in the fine print, they accused her of 1. Fraud 2. Not being disabled, 3. Called her a liar about how the sales person did lie about the terms on the recording. The staff were very rude and seemed to enjoy playing with and getting upset my friend, who is 67, and gets taken advantage of quite often because she is a nice lady. These folks are maggots and their mother and fathers dishonorable cowards who raised them. Period. From *****.

Bought my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited from dealer and sold me on the extended warranty. My cam shafts went out on the passenger side. Took it to the repair shop. We did everything like warranty company said to do. They are fixing it. My problem is I purchased the 4 star package which included rental reimbursement. Jeep went in on a Thursday 2 weeks ago. Parts came in on following Monday well needless to say they didn't send all the parts. Called and asked about having the rental extended since it was their fault my vehicle wasn't going to be done in the 5 day period and was told No they only cover 5 days. This wasn't any fault of me or my repair shop this was because of the warranty company sending the parts. Now I had to pay out of pocket for another week and found out today they still don't have all the parts from them yet. I have to take back the rental tomorrow because I can not afford another ****** and I have to figure out how I'll get to work while it is still at the repair shop. If I would have known this I would have thought twice before purchasing the extended warranty...

Hello *******, thank you for your review. We understand that you worked with ************ on our team to resolve your issue. Due to national back order on two of the parts needed for your repair, EFG extended your rental car coverage in accordance with your contract. We appreciate the ability to work through this issue that was unfortunately beyond our control and we thank you for letting us know! Please let ***** know if you have any other questions or concerns.

This company is a complete rip off. I was sold a EFG MAP warranty policy in 2019 with my Jeep Wrangler. In 2023 I had engine troubles with my Jeep and asked the Jeep dealership (***********************) whether my Jeep was still under warranty. They said my Jeep was no longer under warranty due to having over 64k miles. I had forgotten I purchased an extended warranty (called a *************** Contract) so I went ahead and had a third party Jeep repair shop do the work since the dealership could not get me in for over 3 weeks. Several months after the repair, I just happened to stumble across a Jeep folder in my home office while looking for something else. In the folder I found the original sales order which included a below the line sales item called *************** Contract. I had to call **************************************** dealership back to speak with their ****************** to understand what this was. I was basically told this was an extended warranty with EFG and I needed to speak with them on any warranty claims since my Jeep was out of the manufacture warranty. When I tried to resolve the issue with EFG, I was told my claim was denied because I did not call them first. Unfortunately I was unaware to call them since I was told I was not under warranty and didnt remember I purchased a policy when I originally purchased the vehicle. What a poor customer experience and unwillingness to help a customer out after spending thousands on an extended warranty. I also think it was misleading to call this a *************** Contract which is why I could not remember I had purchased an extended warranty.

****, we understand that you have spoken with ************ on our team about your repair and he has walked you through the contractual requirement to contact EFG prior to any work being done on your vehicle. This requirement is in your contract so that EFG can advocate for you, to protect you from unnecessary repairs or so that we can negotiate a fair repair price on your behalf. If you have any other questions about your contract coverage, please reach out to ***** again, he is happy to assist you.
