I purchased five new tires for my 2016 **** ******** in Feb 2024. The tires have less than 13,000 miles on them and two are completely bald. The manufacturer has a 50,000 mile tread wear guarantee, which I paid extra for. I have reached out the company numerous times and either get no response, or someone telling me that the tires are only warrantied for a year. These tires are clearly defective and are a dangerous to have on my vehicle.Initial Complaint

Purchased my 4th set of tires from Treadwright. With the added premier wear warranty. I managed to buy before they actually had some for sale, so it took 2 months to actually get them. In that time they did offer a refund. Wish I had accepted. Instead I got a partial refund to match a sale they had going on when they finally shipped them to me.10 months and only a few thousand miles later. One of my tires started leaking air. Checked and it was from a crack on the sidewall. Checked the other 4 tires and 3 of them where also cracked. The spare had not touched the ground yet. Contacted them about warranty through their messenger and warranty claim link. After some back and forth they suddenly changed to email without warning. I missed the email for approx 2 months.When I went to send a heated email I searched for the email address and found their request for pictures, so I sent them. No response from them from that point on. Wouldn't even answer the phone. In that time my spare also started leaking from a crack in the sidewall.I have been blocked on their ******** and can not get them to answer a phone. A month after that they actually responded to a ******** post from my girlfriend. More back and forth for about a month with her and I finally get to talk to them from a phone call she initiated at their request. On the same day the third tire had a blowout while going down the freeway.Short of it. They offered 30% off a new set of tires. I have already spent more than that from the flats, and I certainly don't trust their tires anymore. Bought a set of 6 tires from this company in May of 2023 with a warranty. Had issues with 3 of them May of 2024. I reached out to them for replacement and they made up an excuse that the warranty was up and couldnt replace them but if I bought a new set they would give me 40% off so I decided to go that route and give them another shot. Got the tires in June 2024 with warranty again and within 2 months I had 4 of the 6 go bad. I submitted 3 different claims each time I had an issue and heard back from them on one but was told they were backordered and thats the last I heard from them. I purchased tires from the company with a 50K warranty on Nov 2021. I have now had a STRUCTURAL failure of the tires at less then 25K miles or 50% of the total warranty period. At this time the company has chosen to ACTIVELY ignore me, and told me that they will NOT honor the warranty. They REFUSE to supply any reason that they are voiding the contract that they entered into with me. Further the CEO (*******) basically is trying imply extortion, when he said I can pay them more money, or go away. All proof is supplied in the supplied emails. You will see they NEVER supplied me any details, only that I can pay them 50% the cost of a new pair of units, which is the bare minimum and once I asked for reason for the warranty claim they have actively chosen to ignore me. At this time I would be fine if they sent me the 4 tires I am due, and I would be willing to pay for 1 tire which I suggested to them. 2 tires covered at 50% of the warranty, and then the 50% offer on the other two tires... meaning 2 paid for by warranty, 1 paid for by the 50% off offer and I pay for the 4th. Bought 4 tires from Treadwright. Within ***** miles, they had to send me 2 more tires under their goodwill because they would not honor their manufacturers warranty. The tires had high spots, and walked. The other 2 they sent were installed, with high spots. There has been no more than 5k miles put on the original tires, and 1000 miles on the other 2 they sent. My truck got to the point of not being safe to drive, I called treadwright and they said sorry about it, nothing we can do. My truck is currently sitting at a shop because I had a deathly vibration. Come to find out, it is from the tires THEY sent. One of the belts separated with only 1k miles!!! I have children!! I told them it was a death trap and I wanted my money back. They will not honor ANYTHING!! I now have to drop ANOTHER $2000 on tires. At this point, I just want my money back from them and compensation for the new tires I have to buy. Purchased 5 tires on 4/4/23. All 5 tires have dry rotted not even a year later. Treadwright attempted to state it was from weather, when I debunked that that stated I had mounted then on the wrong size rim. When I confirmed my rim size 17" x 7.5 wide was within tire specifications they tried offering me 50 percent off a new set. I don't want to spend more money with a terrible company, I want them to make it right.Business Response

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]I have told ***** at treadwright that my stock truck rims are 17" by 7.5 wide. I have relayed this information to her multiple times. Their website states the tires I purchased are for 7.5 to 9 inch wide rims. They refuse to accept the truth and replace the tires.

Warranty is rejected do to customer having a stock rim and ordered an over size tire causing cracks and bulge to the tires.

Better Business Bureau:
This company has done everything they could do to get me to stop requesting a full refund. I proved my rims are the correct size and they still won't stand behind their products. I asked to speak to their CEO, they said they would leave a message for him to get back to me, I never received a call back. They also told me I could email him through their general email and they would make sure he got the email, I never received an email back. While I did agree to the partial $250 refund I only did so to get something back from them. As for keeping the tires, they are trash and not safe for the road. They also told me since they refund me for one tire basically that I needed to remove my negative reviews. Well that is not happening, people need to know how this terrible company works. I want the BBB to post their neglect, no ethics, lying, no morals, won't stand behind their products on the BBB website to help fellow consumers know to not do business with them.

I purchased 6 tires from treadwright back in May. two days after putting the tires on my truck was put in the shop for two and a half months. with less than 100 miles on the tires, one of the tires shredded and was a factory defect. I contacted Treadwright and wanted to send the tires back as i stated we did not feel safe with these tires any longer but the lady insisted we allow them to send a replacement. we decided to give them another opportunity as things happen, a couple weeks later , another tire starts doing it and the inside was bubbling. We took it to two different mechanics because the truck was riding so horrible and wobbling, which both stated the tires were the issue. I contacted Treadwright and it took me two weeks to finally get them to get back to me in regards to sending the tires back. They stated i would be charged a restocking and shipping fee of almost $300, I told them I was not paying that as the tires were defective and it was not my fault. They stated it was policy and that it would be refunded 3-5 business days after they received them and they were accounted for. Now they are claiming they did not say that and will not return my full refund on DEFECTIVE tires. This has been on going for over two months of dealing with tires and issues with them, i have tried to be polite and work with them but they cannot expect someone to pay for their mistake in regards to the tire being defective. I have had to pay THREE times now to put tires on because of this and am out quite a bit of money. I am just asking for the restocking fee back.Initial Complaint

I ordered another set of tires ****** *********** from Treadwright tires in June 2023. After having the alignment done on this vehicle, had tires professionally balanced and mounted. Immediately I noticed bad vibrations.. After a few weeks I noticed vibration continued to increase.. With little choice I had to remove these tire sets due to the vibrations, not to mention dry rot throughout. I just put these tires back on two weeks ago after having them rebalanced professionally. Still bad handling with increased vibration. Now noticed separation issues and small blowout/separation. I have filed a warranty complaint with little luck resolving this issue. I sent numerous pictures like they have asked. Have been pretty detailed on the phone and in the issue description. Feel I am just getting the run around at this point.
I am simply asking to have the two tires replaced with same undamaged.

My my husband and I purchase tires through treadwright on January 18, 2023 for almost $1000, I filed my first warranty claim in the beginning of May 2023 due to one of the tires we had purchased developing a bulge in the tread and causing my vehicle to shake. The tire was replaced within one week however, approximately two weeks after that tire was replaced. We had a second tire on the front of the vehicle develop the same issues, this tire was replaced within one week as well approximately two weeks after the replacement of the second tire, the first tire that had been replaced developed the same issue again. At this point, I felt as though these tires were no longer safe for me to drive on for any length of time, in fact, I would say these tires are not safe at all, considering that a vehicle is directly connected to the roadways via the tires. My husband contacted treadwright requesting a refund for the tires as well as reimbursement for installation and balancing of each tire they had sent us as well as return labels for the 6 tires, the warranty division denied any refund stating it had been over 30 days since we had received the tires. Also they declined excepting any returns. They stated that we needed to file a new warranty claim and receive a replacement tire, on Monday, July 31 a warranty claim was filed with no follow up from the company itself. Because the tires are not safe to drive on we were forced to purchase new tires. Also, in the state of Pennsylvania retread/remold tires are no longer legal and the vehicle will no longer pass inspection with such tires installed. Therefore, we are unable to sell the tires out right in order to recover the money we have lost on these tires I am requesting the Better Business Bureau and assisting with a full refund from the company.
