We paid $2k for a remodel start. The company never met with us after that deposit and communication was untimely (days to confirm anything or not at all such as apt times to try and meet; cancelled day of apt after we took off work). We realized that their customer service was inadequate for a house addition. We requested a refund and they said no because they put work into our project. Nothing was done. No prelim design, no plan of action and only about 3 emails that they could t find the time to meet. We would like assistance to resolve please.

      Business Response

      Date: 09/03/2024

Good evening *****************, we hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend with your family. In response to your review, everyone at DMJ understands that you are frustrated. We work in a software called Buildertrend that allows us to capture all of our lead information and job communications and process. It helps us gain an accurate understanding of what is going on with our jobs. That said we have documented all interactions since May 11, 2022. Since we first received your lead information, we have conducted site visits, more than one proposal agreement, and have recorded all email communications to help move your project forward for more than 2 years. Upon signing our design agreement on May 6, 2024, we scheduled your on-site meeting for June 24, 2024. Yes, due to scheduling obstacles on DMJs end we had to reschedule this meeting and one other on July 8th. On July 8, 2024 you updated us that your next availability wasnt until ****** 19, 2024. We understand that scheduling conflicts happen and we have been more than flexible to wait and accommodate your schedule. We also appreciate your flexibility to work with ours as well. That said, when ****** approached, DMJ reached out to schedule the next visit for ****** 19, 2024. An unexpected event happened on your end on ****** 14th and the meeting was rescheduled for later in the day of ****** 19th. On ****** 16th before we were able to do the site visit on ****** 19th, you canceled the meeting and wanted to terminate your agreement with us entirely. Within that contractual agreement, we refer to the Terms and Conditions, 1. Termination section. We are more than willing to continue forward with your project and would apply this amount to your project if you decide to resume. We also have always had an open door policy at our office. You are more than welcome here and we encourage you to visit and have a sit down conversation. Please let us know when you would like to schedule your visit. We wish you the best, DMJ.
