      I Am A Resident Of Wythe Apt There Is A Giant Hole In The Roof Causing Water To Leak On The Floor And Furniture As I'm Sure You're Aware Of This Is A Huge Safety Risk Do To The Risk Of The Roff Falling In and Etc. I Am Highly Concerned, AS The Longer Water Damage
      Goes Unresolved, More Underlying Issues Can Arise,
      Including Mold. I've Been Patient But Nothing Has Been Done Until Recently A Patch Job Which Didn't Work Correctly. The Ceiling Continues To Leak I Notified The Office Of This Problem August 23 2022 Today Is Nov.16th 2022 And I Still Have This On Going Problem.

      On July 28th, 2022 I had a professional dryer vent cleaning company come out to my apartment complex due to my clothes not drying properly and the inside of my dryer drum smelling like fire. The professional, named Rodney, stated that the dryer vent/duct was extremely clogged and had not been cleaned in YEARS. He was shocked that a fire had not started yet! Scary right?! In the past with this complex, maintenance has taken days to complete work orders. For the safety of all of the tenants/pets at my complex and since I work two jobs and needed this issue fixed immediately, I had Rodney clean my vent. He said there was even wasp and hornet nests inside the vent...and that the vent flap was barely still attached which is one of the main reasons it was so dirty. He stated that the complex will most likely give me a refund for his services since this should have already been done, which ended up being $226. For a solid week, I emailed Knowlton the invoice and pictures of the clogged vent, and still nobody ever replied to me! I had to email the regional manager at Knowlton, who ended up declining my refund because she says I did not give the complex "ample time" to fix the issue. This should have been yearly preventative maintenance, and I should still have my $226. I did not have time to sit around and wait for maintenance for days like in the past. Even more importantly I know that my dryer duct is not the only one that needs cleaning ...and now I do not feel safe at this complex at all. I have to leave my beloved pet at the complex while I work my two jobs, and now I'm constantly worrying about him since this complex apparently doesn't care about the safety of their tenants. Unfortunately, I just renewed my lease a few months ago too! I'd like to get reimbursed my money since this should not have been an issue in the first place....but I'd also like for every ones ducts to get cleaned at least once a year so we can feel safe at the place we call home!
