      I have been an active user on Hinge and am genuinely trying to find love. Due to my busy schedule, I have not been actively using Hinge for the past few weeks. As a lawyer with a background in social media, I am very cautious about my online interactions, given the importance of maintaining a professional reputation.Without notifying me, Hinge sent alerts to all my recent matches, accusing me of engaging in fraudulent activity. I only became aware of this through some matches I stay in contact with off the app. They expressed confusion and asked about it. Fraud is a serious accusation, and it should not be broadcast to all my matches without substantial evidence. This is extremely damaging, shocking, and humiliating, and feels defamatory, especially considering my professional standing. Being a licensed lawyer in **, this carries added legal risk.I am confident I have not violated Hinges Terms of Service and suspect that AI bias or a potential security breach might be the cause, especially since I hadnt been actively using the app for weeks before receiving the notification. Despite this, I still had access to parts of my account. After reaching out for clarification, Hinge informed me that my account had been banned. I invite Hinge to review my conversations and any reports against my account to confirm that my use of the platform is appropriate and compliant with the Terms of Service, particularly regarding fraud.I am 34, actively seeking a partner, and balancing a demanding career as a lawyer. This situation is incredibly disappointing and unsettling. The most troubling aspect is that all my matches have received a notification about "fraudulent" activity, now tied to my name and reputation. I am confident Ive never engaged in such activity and would welcome the opportunity for the BBB to review Hinges practices in making such claims without clear and actionable evidence.

      Match.com also owns Hinge dating which I was unaware of. I was a Hinge subscriber but tried Match only to realize many of the profiles and members are the same. I found this misleading. In addition, they do not allow any cancellations and refunds. Again, I find this misleading as it's not explicitly stated. Match routinely sells subscriptions knowing that users cant' cancel, and, knowing that they own many dating sites and are misleading people.

      I was unexpectedly removed from Hinge because I was told that I violated their terms and conditions. They did not provide any written explanation as to what I did wrong and denied my appeal when I asked further. I have used the app for about 5 years now and have never had an issue with this ever. I believe that somebody acted out of malice towards me and banned my account.

      I signed up for match.com but very quickly realized this was a mistake. I noticed during sign up that a 3 day cooling off period applied in **********. I let match.com know I did not want my subscription but did not get a response, only automated replies with irrelevant instructions.

      8/26/2024 I subscribed to match.com for their 6 month subscription. With no intention of renewing, thus why I never clicked on the auto renew button under the credit card information. Months had passed and while I did periodically check in on the site I apparently never cancelled. Which was fine THAT was my mistake. However, I got an alert from my bank about 1:35 a.m. on 2/24/2025 in regards to a questionable charge of $172.67. I immediately researched the charge and the next morning attempted to reach out to match.com only to find out that their customer service is boarder line non existent, a 888 number with a hard to hear choppy message about contacting them thru their email. So disheartening, so I reached out to match thru their email like I was instructed by the poorly recorded message. I immediately received 3 separate emails in response. The 1st thanking me for reaching out to Match.com, the 2nd giving me a case file #, and the 3rd telling me that now's the time to find my match. Up till now I still have not gotten any legit response to the double charging of the renewal. I admit that I didn't cancel and that was MY mistake, but that doesn't warrant me being double charged. Where there's no refund for NORMAL circumstances I can understand, however this is not normal. I feel that refunds should be at least considered rather then automatedly brushed off with messages like this. Your request (********) has been received and we look forward to replying as quickly as possible (usually within ***** hours) well today is 3/3/2025 which is 7 days from that message and still no human response. I will drudgingly eat the 6 months of service I just want the over charge refunded. I don't see that as being unfair or any reason to auto response ignore your customer.

      Would like to appeal my ban from Hinge that was made several years ago. Decision to ban my account was made several years ago and was a paying customer for the premium membership.During my time, I pleased with Hinge and the ability to meet potential partners. At some point in time, I was banned from Hinge without an explicit answer on the root cause of my ban and was only told I violated terms of service. I accept ***** teams decision to ban my account and would like to appeal this decision. I truly apologize and am sincere for any issues that I made during my time utilizing the app. In the years since this ban, my development as a person has allowed me to grow and better myself. Hinge has every right to prevent me from accessing their services, but I hope they can reconsider their decision based on the length of time since the suspension was issued years ago. My request is that the ban be lifted in order to give me a 2nd chance and show that the actions to the first ban, will not occur again.       Random Hinge bans are a well known very frustrating issue. I had not done anything wrong on the app and was randomly banned for "fraud". This is extremely frustrating. I had just paid for my subsciption not too long ago as well. I would like my account reinstated please.

      Dear Hinge, 

      I paid a lot of money for a month of your service. As I am sure you are aware, injustified bans are a huge problem on the app. I am a real person and was banned for "fraud". This is one of the few dating apps worth using so I would really appreciate my account being reinstated. I also have followed the appeals process through the hinge app as well but was told going through the BBB provides better results. After reading other users with the same issue, the hinge appeal through the app is almost always rejected every single time.

      I cancelled my subscription for my account on match.com in January of 2025. They charged a recurring subscription fee to me today (3/2/2025). Apparently match.com hides a recurring option so that even though you cancel the subscription there is an auto renewal. They also do not allow you to remove your credit card information from the site. An internet search reveals that this is a common tactic the company uses and they do not offer a refund even though the service is not used. There is no way to call them to discuss the issue by phone.

      yesterday March 1 my tinder account got banned saying I have several accounts but thats not true. I want proof and request proof of this from tinder and match group who owns tinder. Anyway I appealed it, today, I got an email saying my appeal decision is ready, followed by a follow up email saying decision is banned. So then when I log into my tinder appeal centre it says appeal approved ban removed yet I cant create or log into. So this is sending me a false narrative when you say Im not banned anymore but when I try to log into it Im banned? What the heck. Im sick of them saying I have several accounts when I have only used my account and my phone number. And I have used facial recognition so they know Im not a bot. I want this fixed. They literally say as shown in the attachments my appeal approved ban removed yet when I go to log in and create a new account since Im no longer banned they dont let me and say Im still banned. What the heck is up with this!?

      Although we are unable to provide specifics through this channel to ensure compliance with our Privacy Policy, further details of this decision will be provided via our appeal process if possible under this Policy.

      If the appeal request is denied or if the ************* is not available because the banned account is not eligible for appeal, the account will remain banned and any new accounts created will also be subject to termination. To clarify any potential misunderstanding, if the account status in the ************* indicates that the account is banned, Tinder has not approved reinstatement of the account, and the account is still banned until its standing reflects otherwise.
