      Hi, I was banned from hinge earlier this month (October 2024), I tried to access the app but I couldn't as the message said i was banned. I tried to appeal with hinge and I got response, "Our team has reviewed your appeal request and confirmed that you are in violation of our Terms of Service and our Community Guidelines. Therefore your account will remain banned. This decision is informed and final and subsequent appeals will not be considered." They said that this was a human review, yet it was just minutes after my appeal, which was in lengthy detail.I'm uncertain about the specific reasons for my removal and which community guidelines / may have unknowingly violated. It seems that the actions taken against my account did not provide an opportunity for me to defend myself or gain insights into any potential mistakes. I kindly request a reconsideration of my removal, with the hope of being reinstated on the platform. I genuinely enjoyed using Hinge to connect with new people and explore meaningful connections, and I would appreciate the opportunity to continue doing so.Thank you for your time and consideration.

      I am rejecting this response because I feel as if my case is not being treated fairly. I have asked simply for a fair review of my account, as I believe there has truly been a mistake. I have not once acted in an inappropriate manner on the app, and violate their guidelines. I am a paying, fond member of the service, and would not risk jeopardising this.

      I understand that you cant disclose details, but I am aware of how I conduct myself on the app, and I would not do so in a manner which would cause discomfort to others. I am simply asking for a fair review of the aforementioned.

      My account was deactivated for violation of terms, but I believe I made no such violation. I paid for upgraded service and two days later my account was suspended. My 3 week account prior to upgrade has no problem and I feel this is a ploy to obtain payment and deactivate service. Appeal to the company resulted in an automated email denying my appeal within 5 minutes of submission.

      I am rejecting this response because:   This business refuses to provide evidence of my alleged violation of rules/terms.  I believe their allegation to be fictitious, especially since my account termination only occurred after I submitted payment for an upgraded account.  I believe their actions warrant fraud, and their goal is to obtain funds from members then deny services to increase profit.  This matter will remain unresolved and my complaint substantiated until and unless this company provides evidence of a violation.

      I was banned from Hinge in early August ostensibly related to a complaint from my ex girlfriend in which she asserted that I assaulted her. The charges against me were recently dismissed and there is pending legal action against her related to her assaulting me.       I am filing this complaint against Hinge because they banned me for no reason (that I know of), no warning, and no follow-up. I filed an appeal which was not approved. I honestly have no idea what to do, hence I am asking for your help. I went on the app to pause my profile when I saw that it was removed. This was 2 days after I ended things with someone that I met on Hinge and we were still matched on the app. As for as Im concerned Ive both read AND respected the rules, so its very possible I offended someone. But the lack of response from the Hinge staff is frustrating when I believe I have not violated any rules such as harassment, soliciting, or putting false information on my profile.

      I downloaded Hinge earlier this year and within 24 hours, and minimal engagement with other users (all entirely polite and friendly) I was advised my account had been removed. I appealed this through the advised channels and got generic, dismissive responses, being advised I had violated their terms but with no explanation or advice, or discussion as to how. I am hugely disappointed and upset by this, it feels cruel and discriminatory. It feels as though Hinge have made an unfair and unfounded character evaluation without my input and decided I am unworthy for the dating pool. The *********** have a monopoly on the online dating world and are widely banning users, quoting a set of vague, broad and totally subjective terms. Online dating is the most common way to meet people these days, and I would like to be able to use this service. I am a decent man, with good intentions and would like to be treated as such.

      I am rejecting this response because:   

      I have not been given any information as to why I was banned and therefore no opportunity to discuss or explain. The terms of service are so broad and vague that literally anything could be deemed a breach. Any effort to express personality, character, banter etc could be demonised in this draconian authoritarian online space. There are infinite reports online of users reporting having been banned for no justifiable reason, including myself. Any perceived breach on my part, was not intentional and must have been very minor, again, I am unable to understand. There is no attempt to understand, educate or help users conform to these elusive and mysterious guidelines, just blatant discrimination, exclusion and alienation. It is detrimental to the mental health of users to be embarrassed and deemed unfit to participate in the online dating community - where most people meet in modern society. Not only being banned from one  app, but by association being banned from all others on account of the *********** monopoly on the online dating market.

      There is wide scope for banning based on revenge reporting, which empowers those users acting spitefully, and discriminates genuine good people such as myself.  

      Banning people on hinge is censorship, without justification is madness. The terms are so loose, that a user could be banned for literally anything they say, interpretation is entirely subjective and in an increasingly sensitive society people can express offense at literally anything. Also, stating conduct on and off the app can get you banned is so far reaching and intrusive. In life, not everyone will like everyone else. People take offense at trivial matters. By these standards, you can get banned for literally anything. It is totally unreasonable. 

      In modern society, men at struggling. Treating them like this does not help. Excluding them from the most accessible way to meet a partner, making them feel isolated and unworthy, disempowering them, and treating them with no respect or fairness. 

      I would like an opportunity to participate in online dating, be treated with fairness and ultimately find a partner.

      I was banned from my hinge account yesterday and they did not provide me with a reason and I know 100%. I did nothing wrong. I suppose things can be misconstrued through text, but I am a teacher and I am very appropriate at all times when texting. I havent even had any bad experiences on hinge. When I appealed their decision to delete my account, they still did not provide me with a reason why.

      Ex girlfriend posted on tik tok 10/21/2024 about how shes downloading a dating app for research purposes, I then get banned from hinge the following day 10/22/2024 12:14pm. I did nothing wrong in this relationship and was absolutely banned because she reported me for no reason. We dated for about 3 months then I ended it because it was not working out. I have never and would never violate any terms or conditions of this site and have been nothing but respectable to woman on this app. To get banned from hinge by an ex reporting false information is absolutely ridiculous and unprofessional, and especially not to follow up even with explaining that it was anonymously reported, I was giving no reason when i had literally done nothing wrong, I tried to appeal it and was met immediately with no with no explanation whatsoever. This business model doesn't make any sense and leads to people getting revenge banned if another person is even slightly upset.
