On October 20, 2022 BBB identified a pattern in consumer complaints regarding the marketplace behavior of this company, Emergency Medicine Billing & Coding Company, dba EMBCC Patient Services. Specifically, BBB has received complaints alleging that EMBCC:
- Is incorrectly billing patients for bill payments already made and not recorded;
- Not being transparent with full billing sent to patients after insurance;
- Ineffective/uninformative Customer Service interactions;
- Unreceived or delayed refund payments from EMBCC to patients
EMBCC responded to BBB correspondence on November 7, 2022.
