On February 15, 2024, BBB reviewed a pattern of consumer complaints related to interactions with the company BookOnline.com. Specifically, complaints received allege that BookOnline.com:
- Re-directed consumers to Bookonline.com website without notice of leaving the Hotel’s website;
- Overcharged consumers for reservations compared to the listed price;
- Bookonline.com did not finalize the intended reservation with the Hotel;
- Charged additional fees for ProTech when consumers did not want it;
- poor and/or no customer service response from the company;
- and moreover, delays/refusals in providing refunds to consumers when requested.
On February 15, 2024, BBB sent email and postal correspondence to BookOnline.com to address the pattern of complaints.
BookOnline.com responded via email to BBB on February 28, 2024.
As of June 6, 2024, BBB is monitoring BookOnline.com complaint activity to assess if the company's actions mitigate or eliminate this pattern of complaints.
