They certainly did not stand behind their screened contractor or by their policy they tout of radio. Total joke and very dissatisfied. They cost me thousands. **************** was very rude and condescending. Would never recommend. Never.

These kind of reviews seriously breaks my heart. Reviews are so one sided and based totally on the picture they want to paint. Facts or truth play no part in lowering our score. I will give you the shortest version of the story that I can give and let you decide if The Good Contractors List had any lack of integrity.Customer has damage to home, I am assuming from a storm because of the things that needed to be done. Roofing to water damage inside and out.Customer calls ********************** #1 and gets a bid. There were multiple things that needed to be done and Contractor #1 says upfront (before being hired to do any work) that they do not have a flooring person at the time to do the flooring. Customer, for whatever reason, chose to hire Contractor #1 to do all the other work in May of 2020, but decided to wait for the flooring. One of the things completed by Contractor #1 was installing a French Door. Contractor #1 completes job they were hired to do with zero complaints. In January (8 months later) we get a complaint from the customer. They hired another ********************** from our list to do the flooring (I am assuming because the first contractor did an excellent job and they liked using contractors from our list up to that point). They had no complaint on Contractor #2.Contractor #2 informs the customer that they will need to remove the door to do the subfloor repair. This, of course, would require labor costs. Customer contacts us and says that we need to pay for that cost. Their reasoning was that the first contractor didn't tell them they would need to remove the door when they get the floor done later. In situations where the contractor messes up or does low quality work, it is easy to prove and tell them, "you need to fix this", but in this situation I could not call the first contractor and ask them to fix anything. There is also no way for me to know that they didn't explain the details when they told the customer upfront that they didn't have a flooring guy to do that part of the work. When our contractors don't do what they were hired to do, it is easy to prove and we can work with the contractor to get it fixed. If they don't fix it, then we step in and pay to get it fixed. We have even paid thousands of dollars to fix things that were gray areas and difficult to decide. In this case, we couldn't hold our contractor responsible for bad work and they clearly informed the customer that they couldn't do the flooring before anything was done. I don't know why the customer decided to do everything but the flooring or why they waited 8 months to get the flooring repaired. We were not a part of any decision they made and the contractors did good work. How did The Good Contractors List cost them thousands? How did we not do what we say we would do in our ads when there were no complaints on the work or lack of integrity on our contractors part? I know emails are hard to read tone and intent, but we did not mean to be rude or condescending by stating the facts you see above.

We are very appreciative of The Good Contractors List for the help they gave us when we were in the middle of a bathroom remodel when the contractor became absent from the job and the work that was done was sloppy. ******* was so very helpful, so I just first want to say how very grateful we are to her and The Good Contractors List for getting us another Contractor that got things done & done right. The Project Manager, **** was at our home everyday when the crew was there working hard to finish our bathroom. ************ crew were great and did such an awesome job. My bathroom went from a nightmare to a "I didn't know it could look so beautiful and professionally done" bathroom. I want to thank The Good Contractors List, the Owner, *************, Will the Contractor/Owner, ****, ************ crew for all that they did to "make it right". I know exactly who to call when I need any work done in my home going forward. I highly recommend The Good Contractors List!

Thank you so much for this review! This situation was one we have run into very rarely, but is the reason we exist. The contractor went for a very long time on our list doing excellent work and getting great feedback. A life event happened and things started falling apart. By the time we were able to see that it had slipped beyond control, we had several jobs we had to step in and complete. Nobody was left holding the bag and I really appreciate you taking the time to share your "bad" and GOOD experience! We will always be here for you and anyone else choosing to use our contractors! Blessings!

I will never use another service. The Good Contractors List was an excellent service. The contractor I used for my AC (***** ) was excellent. They spotted the problem and fixed. It didn't cost much.
