  SCAM! Im reading the other complaints and I though it was just because I was on Section 8 that I was being done this way but this company is a whole mess. I Complained about my cabinets before inspection with housing they had someone come out and measure the cabinets they assured me that they would be fixed. THEY LIED TO HOUSING ABOUT IT. And so when I called the vendor who was to fix the Dry Rotted Cabinets that have been in this 30 plus year old home the vendor explained that MSR denied to fix the cabinets. This is after they lied to housing and housing restarted payments in July. I continued to pay my rent in hopes that after the demand letter I sent would alert them to fix it but NO! In august they sent me a three day notice about something they said I owed in the previous account which was incorrect. I dont need one of your MSR home reps to get on here and apologize for nothing come fix my **** ************!!!! People dont have the time nor the effort to keep going back and forth about situations in their home that YOU YOUR SELF WOULD NOT LIVE IN. ********** companies should not be allowed to buy major amounts of homes and do as they please in this manner. Oh and the legal team Amherst oh Ill be making a review with them to. There is nothing professional about a LAWYER emailing me that they will not fix the cabinets just because housing is still paying them. UNBELIEVABLE. I wanted to purchase the home and they flat out told me No! Discrimination.

  They stole hundreds of dollars from me that I've tried for months to get back. Additionally, their gross levels of incompetency should absolutely be avoided by everyone. Details on the stealing: they had a policy regarding "accepting trust funds" relating to their acceptance criteria that not one of their agents nor their website explained to us. The one applicant with a trust fund had no other income, and instead of accepting the whole trust fund, their unstated policy was only the monthly pulls would count toward income total. As such, when I spent several hundred dollars on the application that we would never have qualified for under said unstated policy, their managers agreed I was owed that money back. Fast forward to me calling them once a month asking where the check is, and you can see they have stolen money from me and no matter how many times they agree I'm owed my money, they never send it. F*** these people.Details on gross incompetency: when we toured their property, they went through a third party company for an automatic lock system. When we arrived, our code didn't work, and we couldn't access the property. We spent close to 3 hours outside speaking to customer service. Every time we called MSR, they told us to speak to the third party. The third party then told us to speak to MSR. We never toured the house. Their call center system is horrendous, no one knows what's going on, and they informed us multiple times that it's their fault AND they had no backup plan to get us inside. They couldn't even send an IRL representative to meet us. Additionally, they couldn't even write down my address correctly. When I got the agreement from management to send my several hundred dollars, I was in the middle of moving. As such, I told them to send it to a family member's address. When I spoke to them a month or two later inquiring about the status of the check, they told me the address they had on file was the property I just moved out of. Bad company.

  There is no one to directly speak to about filing a complaint. The renters present and past of the house in our neighborhood don't take of the property so when we call to talk with someone we always get the run around. Plus my daughter rented from them terrible management of making sure property had good water pressure, heat was down for almost 2 weeks, not to mention they find things wrong even if the property is found in very good condition upon terminating contract and you will not get your deposit back 100% and again no one to speak to directly to except someone in another country. Bad bad bad business. *************.

  This is the worst rental company Ive ever used. Do not use this company. We moved into the home in 2018 and the roof was leaking. This did not get resolved until 2019. From 2018-2020 there were multiple leaks and water damages in the home due to negligence and faulty vendors. In 2019 I reported mold being in the home which was causing us to get Ill and nothing was done. Fast forward to 2022, mold is coming out of the air vents and we are continuing to get ill. Now we have a newborn baby and are currently homeless because the home is deemed uninhabitable. We have been waiting for a week to be transferred to a new property only to find out that the request was never put in on the first day from a team member. A lawsuit will be filed.

  They are a scam they advertise on for rent.com which is a website for people with bad credit, which they deny!! And then you fill out an application and you get denied and lose your money because you dont have at least a 600 score. *********************. By the way I never write reviews but I had to write this one. PS there is no one to complain to the operators will not let you talk to anyone.

  So many problems this company should be investigated for real. They use saferentsolutions for their credit checks and when the results come back and you dispute them; msrenewal closes their case on you before the dispute is complete. That isnt professional. I moved in to a home with no refrigerator or hvac system working. The ceiling is still not complete, there is a closet door still laying on the floor in the hall where they left it. Water pools in the tub not sanitary. No one has fixed anything but the hvac and refrigerator a 8 days later. Most sockets are weak and coming out the wall. Very dangerous for my kids. My son ceiling has a 24 inch hole in it.
