4 starsUnaliwear is a customer service-oriented company with easy access to competent, knowledgeable, and pleasant representatives. I want to shout out to **** with whom I've spoken to on a number of occasions. She is the perfect person to represent Unaliwear. Not only is she knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to, but **** was also willing to listen to suggestions to improve an already outstanding product. For anyone looking for a medical alarm watch with fall protection, Unaliwear is the way to go. No, it's not perfect, but it's clear that as time goes on, the unit will get even better because of the willingness of representatives like **** who are willing to listen to suggestions. Response time by the monitoring call center was consistently 30 seconds versus two minutes by another company. Response time to speak to a customer care/tech person was one minute versus 20 minutes by a competitive company.Review fromElizabeth P

5 starsI unfortunately live in a dead cell zone on the coast and both my landline and cell signals are degraded for various reasons. The Kanega watch was the only product I found that operated just like my cell phone - using my WiFi signal and home and cell service when I am out and about. After receiving the watch and adapting to its usage, I had the opportunity to speak with several people in the company who could not have been more helpful. The service is great, ********************* personnel are prompt and professional. I highly recommend the watch, the company, and the flexible approach to their product. 5 starsMy daughter-in-law found ****** watch for me. I've loved it since I put it on. I have Cerebral *****, and I live alone. Falls have become more frequent in recent years. Now that I have the watch, my kids are far less worried. I love keeping it on night and day, even in the shower. Kanega spells freedom for me.Review fromJerome M

5 starsUnaliWear customer service ranks among the best customer service I have received from any company in my lifetime. I've called UnaliWear customer service more than a few times to fine tune the responsiveness of my Kanega watch as the watch was a bit too sensitive at first reacting to my lifestyle. It's better to be have a more sensitive setting for people that *** be more physically compromised. It is very obvious the company culture of UnaliWear is dedicated to the well-being of their customers wearing the Kanega watch. My experience with the Kanega watch is 100% positive.Review fromDonna A

5 starsI don't understand the issue that ************ is having with the batteries. My tiny 100 year old mother can change them without any issues. My sisters and I also regularly change them and if you follow the directions there is no problem.I can't say enough about this watch and the customer service we have received. It has allowed my mother freedom to live alone without the constant worry of a fall going undetected. I would give them six stars if I could.Review fromRick S

1 starI will be honest and tell you that the concept behind this watch is excellent and the communication ability is mostly clear and good and for that I was very happy in getting this watch for my very independent mother who is 91 years old and self lives at home independently. But I have to warn you, this watch uses very, very, cheap plastic materials and especially for the batteries and battery clips. They break constantly and as I said, my mother is 91 and weighs 105 lbs. She is tiny and thin and how this watch continuously breaks is beyond me. If the brass pins that stick out of the battery with spring-clips, get stuck inside the batteries and then the batteries fall out. UnaliWear has been very good with customer service and sending a new watch when it failed (they could test it remotely to verify failure) and they also have sent over 6 sets of batteries over the last 2 years for all the cheap plastic clips that have broken off or the pins that will not stick out of their holes to hold them into the watch. So the concept is outstanding, but the execution is very, very poor. They should have had some engineers from Apple or ******* help them develop a quality materials product. My mother is so frustrated with it she told me to get rid of it. I have begged her to keep it because I do not want her going out on her long walks (yes, she is 91 and still goes out for 1 mile walks every day. ) But I am going to give up and send it back. So disappointing as I wanted to LOVE this product.UnaliWear, Inc.

This was a very difficult review for our team to receive. We so rarely get negative reviews and even more rare from an active Kanega Watch wearer for nearly two years, and counting. That said, ****, we greatly appreciate and support your interest in making the Kanega Watch work for your Mom. It is the best option to keep her protected and safe 24/7/365. Your Mom is part of a very small percentage of wearers who have issues with our battery carriers. The plastic is far from "cheap" but rather a unique polycarbonate blend that has to be both firm and a bit flexible at the same time. We have been working on a solution for wearers like your Mom and, after extensive testing, have come up with one that should relieve her of these issues going forward. ****** reached out to me and agreed that they have had a very few issues with small wristed individuals where there is pressure when the band is tightened all the way which is necessary for my very small mother. They also agreed to send her another new watch. After discussing with my mother, we decided to get an Apple Watch that also detects falls, GPS location and you can use for calls. It is very unfortunate that Kanega watch is not more durable, smaller and lighter like the Apple watch because their monitoring technology is the better option. Fortunately we cancelled the monitoring contract before the one year renewal started on November 6th.Review fromPaula K

5 starsI'm a 73-year-old who is fortunate to enjoy reasonably good health and mobility, so I initially thought that a personal monitoring device might be something I would need "someday". However, I live alone and came to the shocking realization that "someday" is NOW when a friend took a fall and wasn't able to get help for several hours in spite of living with family. The Kanega watch has all the features I was looking for: automatic fall detection, waterproof so I can wear it in the shower, a unique charging system that means I never have to take it off, and an attractive design. Equally important, customer service at ********************** has been excellent when I needed help with a couple of issues that came up. 1 starI can't believe how cheap this watch is and it's the most expensive out there. I got it for my mom, the cheap plastic band broke on the first day. They never even did a proper set up for her because they weren't available. They offer a full money back guarantee, but that is just a lie. I sent the broken watch back a week after I received it and I still have not received a refund over a month later. I paid with a credit card, but this cheap company says "the check is in the mail". Really? I use a credit card and you say you want to send a check, that's just a ploy to keep your money. Save yourself the money and frustration, this watch and company is the worst!UnaliWear, Inc.

This has been an equally unfortunate experience on our end. We sympathize with this customer. We do send checks for refunds and we have no BBB complaints and an A+ rating because this process works well for our company and our customers. We have a record of sending this customer's refund check out promptly and it was never cashed. We had hoped to work with him to get this resolved, but he just disputed his entire charge with his credit card, so we will address through that channel. We do try to conduct a personal on-boarding with every new wearer, but it can be hard to get some wearers on the phone. We really wish he and his mother had had a better experience with our company and hope they find a medical alert device that better serves their needs.Brian

Buyer beware. This company is misleading customers, their product is faulty and inferior. The facts are, on the first day the watch broke. The wrist band just snapped off my 80 year old mother's arm, who is pretty in active due to blood clots in her lungs. To think that this device broke on the first day and their attempt to try and blame the customer is irresponsible. Their customer service manager will try to strong arm you into keeping the service and then they try to blame you for their faulty product and unavailable operators. The facts are the facts...this is the most expensive item on the market, it broke on the first day by a little old lady that doesn't move much, they didn't refund my payment to my credit card, instead they sent a check that never arrived. Then they try to blame the customer again for not cashing the check...how fraudulent can you be??? If I pay with a card, refund the card, then there will be no issues. Buyer beware, the reason they don't do that is so they can keep your money and blame it all on you. Their 100% money back guarantee is a fraud, I'm still waiting for mine and it's been over 45 days, so the only recourse I had was to dispute this horrible experience with my credit card. Stay away from this company, it's nothing but a headache and a runaround. The apple watch is a much more affordable and durable product...apple isn't going anywhere and they would refund you in an instant on your credit card if they sent you faulty product.
