      I purchased the UnaliWear watch for my 85 year old brother last year. The main reason I picked the watch over the necklace fall device was the fact you never need to remove the device when charging the batteries. I have no complaints about the unit but I have issues with their return policy. From the website I believed that we owned the watch, batteries and etc. My brother had to move to a nursing home this March. I contacted them to return the unit and get the balance of the annual contract($349.75) back. I was told that until everything was returned to them, they would inspect, there would not be any refund in fact you could owe money if any parts are missing. This information should be stated on the opening page of their website. Not hidden on the back page.I called and emailed them to discuss the $219.00 charge they applied to my refund. They said there was damage to the back of the plate which I did not see any before returning the watch. When I followed up with any email last month they didnt bother to answer me. I should have taken pictures of all the parts before returning!Suggestion, Be very careful with this company! I assume this is a very small operation since it can take 2 to 3 days to get a phone call back and no one answers their emails.

      We are surprised and saddened by this 1-star review. The reviewer's brother wore his Kanega Watch regularly for well over a year. As she indicated, her review has nothing to do with our watch or its performance for her brother. Regarding her return experience, it is clear on our website, including during the checkout process, that the equipment needs to be returned to us in good condition and then we issue a prorated refund. We are really sorry for the reviewer's confusion. In terms of us responding to her, we do prioritize getting back to current wearers and their loved ones with timely product/service concerns or questions, so it is possible that it could take 2 days to respond to questions related only to billing. We have thousands of wearers across the country but continue to grow and hire to serve the needs of our wearers and those that care for them.

      I'm a health insurance agent who specializes in Medicare. I've done a lot of research on these types of devices & decided on this watch for my loved ones. We love that this watch is easy to use-right out of the box with very little set up. It's water resistant & can be worn in the shower, so you never have to take it off. It's discreet, looks just like a regular watch. We've had great experiences with customer service & the test calls we have done. The representatives of the company have gone above & beyond to help & answer all our questions. Very happy with this product & so glad it exists!

      I am 80 years old and quite active. I had no interest in a pendant and didn't want or need all the features in an Apple Watch. The Kanega Watch is perfect! I can wear it everywhere, all the time and feel protected and safe, even in the shower. I've only fallen once (so far!)) and it worked. I didn't need help from the agent who spoke to me through my watch, but it was a great test! I have called through the watch to an agent to contact my neighbor for help and, again, it worked perfectly. So happy I have this watch. Highly recommend it and the company/service

      The UnaliWear Kanega watch is allowing my 96-year-old mother to retain some of her independence while still living at her home. The Unali Care Team has quickly assisted in helping mother with well-check visits from designated person(s). Mother likes the option that designated person(s) may be contacted before emergency services. However, it offers peace of mind to the family that Emergency Services will be contacted in the event designated individuals can't be reached. (This did happen late one night.) In addition, Customer Service is caring, quick, helpful and friendly!

      The UnaliWear Kanega watch has allowed my grandmother to maintain her independence. Soon after she started wearing it, she had a fall while using her motorized chair outside on her property. The watch worked flawlessly and I got a call asking if I could check on her. In our opinion, the freedom the watch gives my grandmother is well worth the cost. Customer service has been excellent as well.

      Highly recommend this watch. We purchased the Kanega watch for my 94 year old mom. It works great and now we don't have to worry about not being notified if she falls. Their customer service is amazing. Don't waste your time on looking for any other fall detection watch.

      The most important and decisive reason that I chose the Kanega watch over the other 40 more or less offerings of fall detection watches. I never have to remove the watch; just switch the batteries. I guess most people take their watches off to charge at night. That is I would think the most important time to be wearing fall detection!I had an issue with band. I called customer service, and was sent a replacement band immediately. I probably was responsible for breaking a prong off one of the batteries. I was furnished with a replacement immediately.

      We LOVE the Kenga watch. For years my dad had a diferent system, and there was no way to test the fall detection! Rediculous. I put the watch on myself and 'fell' and it fired right up! Wonderful to have peace of mind. Great customer service as well.

      My 86 year old mother purchased this watch to have piece of mind in her own home. It was a pro key from the start..bulky for her frail wrists and sounding the alarm whenever she walked from one room to another. It states it is "water resistant" which ked her to believe she could wear it in the shower, (where most falls happen for elderly). The watch eventually just fell off her wrist onto her bed while she was sitting. (2 months she wore it.)They tried to get her to exchange the watch, stating it was defective, she asked for a refund. They used the word "defective" twice, and eventually refunded the $500 for the watch and charged for 3 months price of the watch. The call to return was 3 days into the 3rd month th, a $60 fee. We complained and received the 3rd month refund, but never received the $199. Activation fee for a "defective" watch. It is now in the hands of our attorneys.I advise you to go elsewhere to protect your LOved ones, these people clearly just take advantage of seniors.

      Per our multiple calls and emails with you and your Mom, we did our best to explain our policies and accommodate you - even providing a refund on a partial month of service (note prorated refunds are calculated on when the watch is returned to us, not when someone contacts us to EOS; since we can't turn off any of the watch's emergency response services until the watch is back in our facility, for liability purposes). As we communicated to you, the Kanega Watch is designed to be worn in the shower. The falling off her wrist was likely due to the clasp on the band not fully being engaged. As we mentioned in our communications, for those small percentage of wearers who have issues with our standard clasp band, we have an alternative silicone/magnetic option, which you declined to consider. We can see from your Mom's activity with her watch that she was a regular wearer, so we are really sorry to lose her. We can't refund the $199 set-up fee, but we have offered to waive that fee if your Mom wants to reconsider ********************* Either way, we wish you all the best in finding a medical alert device that best meets the needs of her and your family.
