My car was kept for entirely too long and no one had any idea where it was or what was being worked on. After pressuring the body shop through management, they seemed to be on top of things. My car was suddenly ready within the week. When it was returned to me they assured me that it had been test driven and was safe to operate. About a week later I was traveling at ***** mph when the steering wheel disconnected from the front axle. I was barely able to navigate the car to a safe location on the curb after driving through two lanes of oncoming traffic. At highway speeds I could have died. After having it towed to a mechanic I was told that the new parts replaced in my vehicle were not connected properly and road vibration caused the steering to become nonexistent. Through this ordeal another component in the steering column was damaged and needed to be replaced. Again, I could have died and had to come out of pocket to pay for the repairs.

*************************, General Manager, is the most unethical and dishonest person business person I have ever dealt with. In 2021 our car was damaged by hail. The first shop our insurance had us take our car too did a lot of damage to our car when they repaired the hail damage. We were allowed to choose another shop to perform the rework on the car and Continental Collision was recommended.I called Continental on Aug 12, 2021, and was told we were put on their list to bring the car in and I received an email confirmation. A few months went by and I called to check on this. ****** denied ever having us on their list until I sent him the email confirmation. Then he said "The girl that answered the phone that day should not have ever taken your job because we won't work on something someone else messed up and she's been fired since then". I said we had waited multiple months now just to hear that our job was being rejected and was finally able to convince him to let us bring our car to him. I began calling about once a month to speak with ******, always taking about 15 calls to get ahold of him, and each time he said they were making progress through the list but it still wasn't time for us yet. This story remained the same into the Spring of 2022. I called in mid-March and ****** said all the parts for our car were in and he could not get us in before the end of March but he could get us in before the end of April. He asked me to contact my insurance company to let them know the work would be starting, and to forward him the original estimate from the first shop. Around mid/late April I did both of these items and I began calling to follow up. After finally getting ahold of ****** he said he never would have committed to a date to bring our car in, some of our parts had been sent back, and that he did not want to do the job anymore. ************************* has now wasted 9 months of our time and I now get to restart this process all over again with a new shop due to his lies.

    Continental Collision Center Response

    05/02/2022

*******, we are saddened to see this kind of feedback. We completely understand your frustrations with the initial error in scheduling, and we apologize for the inconveniences this has caused. Since that time, however, ****** has been abundantly clear on the fact that we could not bring your vehicle in because Continental Collision does not do warranty work for jobs done by other body shops. Due to the mass number of appointments currently at hand, we are unable to set new appointments until we can work through the ones we have now. In an effort to not waste any of your time, ****** recommended some other reputable body shops that could set you up with a sooner appointment, but you declined. ****** has been completely transparent and responsive throughout this process, so we're sorry to see that this is the impression you were left with. We wish you the best in finding a body shop that better suits your needs. Take care. - The Team at Continental Collision
