Claim number: 01007553164-02 I was in a car accident inside a Tsunami car wash on May 3rd of this year. My car was partially repaired and I am unable to reach the adjuster. I was speaking with ********* and she keeps giving me the run around saying the adjuster isnt available and she will email him. My car looked better before it was repaired. I now have 1 at fault and 1 not at fault accident on my record because The General is not doing their job! I was using the general car insurance. I paid my bill. The engine in my vehicle blew up. I called them and canceled my policy. I no longer had the vehicle. They did not cancel the policy I guess and kept billing me. I contacted them again. Even after speaking with them, they sent this collection. I did not owe them any money.Customer Answer

The driver of the vehicle is insured through The General. I was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. Once I reached out to The General I was informed their insured did not have medical insurance only property damage coverage. The adjuster asked that I submit my receipts for my carbon fiber bike as well as items damaged by the incident. I submitted receipts on May 30, 2024. I received a call on 7/3 from the manager at the General informing me that they are calling because of my complaint with the BBB and letting me know that they need a letter from a bicycle shop and photos of the bike, which I provided on 7/13. I read the Generals reply to the BBB on 7/19. They indicated in their reply that I have an attorney. I do not have an attorney representing me. Thats why Im reaching out to them directly. That same day, I called the Generals adjuster assigned to the case and the manager. I left both of them a VM that I provided the report and photos they requested, let them know that I dont not have an attorney, not sure where they got that from and that I would like a status update. To date, the General had not provided a reply to the status of the reimbursement.

When I received my credit report last month, I discovered that there are addresses there that I never resided, accounts that I have no knowledge of, inquiries I never authorized and a variation of my name like *************************, ***********************. I may have been a victim of identity theft. I already contacted the creditors to make them know of the breach and they are requesting that I fill out a full Packet to show cause in order for them to cease reporting to my credit due to this possible identity theft. Hi my name is *************************** and I'm having an issue with the general insurance. I had a hit an run on my vehicle, which is a 2017 ******* Elantra. The accident happened on 5/31/2024 around 7:30-8:00 PM eastern time. I filed a claim with the general the same day the accident happened. Well I've been through 2 adjusters, just for them to have a investigator call me an ask question. I complied with him, the investigator, gave him all the information he needed, just so he can drag it out hes asking for the same information I've already presented to him. These such as where the accident occurred, pictures of the vehicle, license, proof of **********************. So no the general is I didn't have auto insurance when the accident occurred, which is a lie, I sent the investigator all the correct information showing that I was covered at the time. On march 9th 2024, I was hit by a unknown driver , he hit me twice and left the scene. I called the police and got medical treatment thereafter. I had coverage up to ******** . They denied me property damage even though I paid for it with the understanding that it was for my coverage not anyone else's other than liability. They lied and denied coverage . Horrible and unfair treatment as well as unethical and unprofessional handling of my claims case. Representatives did not process my initial claim , I had to put it in again 3 days later which delayed my process. Claims Adjuster refused to see damages. I hired a lawyer and let the lawyer handle things until 5 months later and I had to fire him for ineffective council. I represented myself and told the claims Adjuster that , she still ignored my case for a week asking to have documentation of my lawyer withdrawing and they sent ut to her week before . Then I sent her a file with everything from crash report ro medical records she refused to look at them, and she deployed a tactic of lying and saying she had to wait for my mecial records and it will take 8 to 10 weeks . I called the records place and they said it will take 14 days at most , I then called her supervisor ************ to tell them that ********************* was being unreasonable and unfair . He refused to answer my calls. Called his supervisor **** she will not answer wither after 2 voicemails . It's really not fair and unprofessional. They refused to settle with a reasonable offer. I am rejecting this response because:It still does not answer the terrible service I received, never addressed the ** property damage claim , it doesn't exist in ********* therefore I never should have gotten it and it should have been explained properly which they didn't it was a bait and switch tactic . And I had documents proving everything I said with time loss and medical documents proving I was injured and the extent of my injuries which were ignored . Which was highly unprofessional and led to a bullying stall tactic of making me wait 8 to 10 weeks additional to the Already six months I was waiting for . Plus the Medical Adjuster refuses to pay me the ******** coverage directly to me which is in violation . I settle that ** claim for that specific coverage . I'm asking for compensation for the harsh and predatory treatment I received. And making me prematurely have to settle to avoid a excessively long unnecessary battle . I have proof of loss work and doctors excuses that they ignored . The compensation I want Is for the heartache and pain and treatment from these individuals that have done these tactics without any oversight or disciplinary actions.

I was hit by a driver who is insured by the general on 4/12/2024. I have a police report and have opened a claim with them on 4/15/24. The claim number is *************. I have called them multiple times asking for an update and when my car will be fixed and they never give me an answer. I need a resolution to my claim just so I can get my car damage repaired. Contacted the general in ***uary of2024 to add grandson to one car. Asked for paperwork to be sent. Added addtl vehicle in Feb of 2024 and grandson to that vehicle. Asked for paperwork again. Called in Mar to ensure both drivers and both vehicles covered due to no paperwork being recvd. Apr had $118.00 deducted, may had $184.00 deducted and June $135.00. According to the *** addtl $$ taken out to account for *** and feb. my paperwork states $118.00 a month effective 02/26/24. I am rejecting this response because: when I called in January to add my grandson to the sonata, my payment increased. I called in Feb to add him and myself with the tundra. My March payment, $118.00 per paperwork received, BOTH VEHICLES, BOTH DRIVERS as of FEBRUARY 2024. Paperwork requested. None received. April payment $184.00 May &177.00.
You can quote all the annual numbers you want. The bottom line my paperwork states differently. Which by the way I have yet to receive any paperwork for the current year, along with my ID cards. My grandson does not have a smart phone and I like to have hard copies.

I filed an insurance claim on 3/10/24 with my Insurance company. I followed requested steps provided by them and contacted **************** to complete the cosmetic repairs to my vehicle. My Insurance company sent them a payment on 3/19 & 3/26 for repairs. I was in constant contact with the body shop doing the work and was updated 6/5 with pictures of my vehicle almost completed and an estimated time of completion. On 6/7 I was contacted by my Insurance company telling me that my car was a total loss. I was told I needed to go to the body shop and retrieve my personal things out of the vehicle. That they would be sending me a power of attorney to relinquish my vehicle over to them. I followed all their steps, signed docs sent, told the body shop, and started working with my loan holder on stopping payments and getting into a new vehicle. I had multi phone calls into them as the body shop was clueless they had totaled the car and my loan holder was requesting a total loss statement. No one would return my calls until yesterday and I was then told by The General that they are now just in '*****" trying to decide between repairs or it being a total loss. I do not have rental coverage on my policy and this has been a life altering event between their lack of communication, working on my claim, telling one thing, having me sign my car over for a total loss, then telling me they just are not sure. This has been going on for months now with still no answer and barely any communication. I have Legally signed documents releasing my car to them, now being told they just don't know what they are doing.Business Response

I was hit by a woman a month ago, this lady has made my life terrible! I filed a claim with my insurance company(the general) and with her insurance company(******) . Although I have filed a claim on both parties, I have YET to speak with my adjuster from my insurance company she has been telling stories and avoiding me for this whole month not speaking to me , my car was deemed totaled by ****** Insurance Company. I am still being charged for a car that has not been driven don't since the accident. Every time I call the general I am transferred to different departments in the insurance company. No one wants to take the time to speak to me about this situation, everyone at the general is rude and very disrespectful with their words. I don't know how much longer I could tolerate the disrespect from This company but I am hoping something could get done about this situation. I appreciate any help I may receive please and thank you.
