Yeah dont move here. My air had gone out so many times the replaced it and it still broke. Emergency maintenance hahaha no, you can call and never get an answer. Oh and god forbid you be handicapped or have family handicapped without a parking sticker ( some legal issues with that.) the towing company will still tow your car even with a parking sticker if they in a quick speedy glance dont see it and the office answering the phone is a joke as well. I wont mention the crime rate going up with broken windows and all the other things Im moving. I hated my time here.

After offering me a years lease, and sending me to do my walk-through I learned that it was the only room which did NOT have a window unit that produced the HEAT they described in the ad for it. I'd paid for the application fee, the deposit, and the first months rent, and amongst all the other "issues" I recorded in my walk through, I emailed the Leasing Consultant who sent me the time and day to physically SEE the room in the rooming house that I was interested in. In my email I expressed a wish to remedy the "lack of heat" issue. Then, I added that I would not be held to a legally binding lease if this was not done. I added that "If they thought that the lease would stand up in COURT, and they weren't willing to fix the one issue I had, then to simply let me know so I could have my families real estate attorneys know about the up and coming issue."I never even let them know that I was INJURED due to their negligence by putting broken furniture into this "so-called" FURNISHED ROOM FOR RENT, which I'd signed a lease to inhabit. But, I was hurt. It was videotaped, and my legal representation has the only copy of the video where I sat in a wooden chair and due to the back 2 legs not even being attached to the rest of it, it collapsed and I fell straight back, slamming my head on the hard flooring.I was offered to be moved to the #1 room. I asked the man why it was all decorated, and why it was not offered for me to see beforehand, and he told me that they THOUGHT a different person was going to be moving in, but this did not "work out"... THIS WAS ALL A LIE. It seemed STAGED, because previously as I had met a couple of the other tenants they informed me that the number one room was simply used as a MODEL to show to prospective tenants, and it was in fact NOT used as a rental.I was tricked into returning at which point the room switch would occur but instead I was met by some lady who exclaimed that they "did not wish to rent to me due to me THREATENING them." Huh?

Hello. We're sincerely disappointed to hear ************ feels this way and we urge her to please contact our office directly so that we can continue to work to resolve her issues. When we toured the home with her, prior to signing the lease, she stated that she "loved it" multiple times, so we were unaware she had concerns at the time. In addition to doing a walkthrough with her, there was also a 72-hour period afterward in which she could live in her home and report any issues to our team, which we responded to promptly. It is unfortunate that chair broke. The previous tenant had not reported this issue to us, and again, new residents are encouraged to report any issues to us so that we can address them. The heating unit was removed by neighbor without our knowledge, but we quickly rectified this and had the heater returned to the unit when she notified us. The second home that was offered to her was in fact a rental as we do not have any unit that serves as just a display model. She moved into the first home on February 15 and our leasing agent met with her on February 19 to go over the concerns she had. Our leasing agent gave her a check, refunding her the first month's rent and holding deposit that same day. Our team has been attentive and responsive throughout this process. If she has any remaining questions or concerns, please let us know so that we can continue to work with her to resolve them. Thank you.

Kismet Property is the embodiment of everything terrible about trying to rent from a property management company and not actual humans. I moved to the ******* area, and before even touching down, I called *************************, one of the realtors handling a property for $550/month. I explained to her my situation of needing a short-term lease. I told her my credit score was not the best because of a derogatory **** that I was disputing and even trying to settle. I told her about my new job and showed her the offer letter, which showed that I made more than enough for the unit AND that Id be willing to pay a higher deposit. I told her this new job would help me better my credit score, and I even hoped to rent one of their more significant properties once my situation improved. In all this, I prefaced, I do not want to waste my time if Im going to get denied. ************** said she would contact her supervisor and get back to me. She never did. I reached back out to her, and she told me to go ahead and apply. The following day, they deny me. I tried to reach out to everyone at Kismet, and no one responded. Then, when they responded, they brought up my credit score, and I was baffled because we talked about that, and they said it shouldnt be a problem. They robbed me of $50 for an application fee, and other reviews will tell you these are not good people. Poor communication, manipulative, and I hope people go in another direction than go with this company.

Out team is more than happy to work with prospective renters as much as we can, but we must also act equitably in accordance to our policies and criteria. If you have remaining questions about your application, please reach out to us again.

Worst property management company Ive ever rented from. Maintenance is a joke. They send unqualified handy men who try to work on plumbing and **** air units. Ive been at *************** apartments for 6 weeks and it is a living h*** I have water leaking from my ceiling in the bathroom, the hall and all over and under the **** system in the apartment. Do not rent from Kismet.

The employees in the rental department of this company were very hard to get a hold of, never returned any phone calls and only had contact through email and text over issues while filing a rental application. They go back 30 years on a criminal background check when all other companies and corporations go back 10 years. Without giving you an opportunity to explain the situation or even a phone call out of respect to allow you to answer any questions they might have, they just send a text or an email denying services.

Hello. We're sad you feel this way. We have spoken with you several times regarding your application and our team has taken great care to go over your questions and concerns. The incident that was flagged on your application was from 2017. Since it was from six years ago, it was identified in the background check. And when we asked for documentation regarding the resolution of another aspect of the process, you did not provide any and we were therefore unable to continue with your appeal. Our application criteria are equally enforced with everyone interested in our homes. If you have any remaining questions, please contact our team, and we will continue to do our best to help. Thank you.

I asked to view the apartment and was granted, then I processed the application for the apartment and it came back for another apartment, I then emailed immediately to ask for my money back due to the wrong mix-up on the apartment and they said they would correct it. I received a called that they reached out to verify my rental of 25 years which they could see on my credit report. I had to call my landlord to have her to call them back and she had spoken to Kismet property. I had not heard anything from them so I sent an email and no response needed a response before December 1, 2022. I had to constantly call left message to return my call. I would like for someone to look into to this complaint. I think that my application was and rental review has been mix-up or misplaced. Thank for your cooperation.

**************** applied for one of our properties and after speaking with her current landlord, discussing rental history and current rental amount, she was denied due to payment history. Also, the property she was applying for was $645.00 additional to what she was currently paying. At her current rate she was having difficulties paying on time.

I was towed that there would be a background check for criminal, rental, history, credit report. I was told that all I needed to make was three times the amount of my rent. I think that this is a personal opinion, and no one asked me what I made before I moved from **** to *********. What difference does it make as long as I can pay. This seems personal and, and I need to know what about my payment history. I paid my rent. Although, Kismet is not able to keep up with apartment applications. I believe that things need to be looked into more when people are trying to establish residence.
