1 starThey are terrible. Every couple months, my monthly bill will get mailed late. Luckily I'll check online and catch it before I'm late on a payment (the only way to not get charged a convenience fee is if you pay by check via mail). Once I mailed them a check that they claimed they never received, so I got charged a late fee again. A couple months later, they finally deducted that check. I did receive a statement credit for it; however it was frustrating because I was previously charged a late fee.
I'm giving up waiting on their bills to arrive via mail/sending checks to them via mail since my mailed bills or my checks have a chance to not arrive on time. Relying on bill notifications and payments via mail has caused me a late fee, close-calls for late fees, and headaches.
Now I just pay online to avoid these issues. The frustrating part is they charge an arbitrary $5 convenience fee to pay online as well. That makes zero sense. The world is becoming more digital. They are the only company I deal with that penalizes you $5 for paying online. Paying via check is getting so obsolete nowadays. Get with the 21st century and allow customers to pay online without getting charged an arbitrary convenience fee.Water Systems, Inc.

We certainly apologize for any frustrations. The date the bills are processed can fluctuate by a a few days each month depending on how the month falls; however, you are always given 25 days from the date the bills are processed before the bills are considered delinquent. Unfortunately, we are hearing of more and more delays with mail being delivered; but do offer eBilling to receive your bill via email so there are no concerns with delays on receiving physical mail.
Regarding mailed payments, all payments are posted the date they are received. We do offer ACH to have your bank account automatically drafted each month without any additional fees, as well.
If you have any questions regarding your account, please do not hesitate to contact us.N. H.

You guys should just allow online payments. Ach and checks are becoming more and more obsolete. The fact that you rely on most of your customers to mail in checks is archaic. As a law enforcement officer, I'm regularly writing reports of fraud regarding stolen checks from the mail. I've lived all over the country and all over the world, and you guys are literally the only company that primarily relies on bills to be paid through check or ach. Every single company I do business with or pay monthly bills for allows customers to do online payment via credit or debit card without a penalty or additional fee. It literally makes zero sense why your business can't adapt with the changing times and modernization of online payments.Review fromL. P.

1 starI have been paying a $30ish water bill since we have lived in our home. This month they never sent out a statement and charged us for 51,000 gallons of water used at $382. The lady had the nerve to ask me if I have a leaking toilet. Other homeowners in our 38 home community are as well being scammed. One homeowner said they “used” 71,000 gallons while another 65,000 gallons. This is a huge scam. After doing through research on this company, this is a continuation of fraud. How can this company still be in business? J will be reporting them to the Attorney General and agency for the state.Water Systems, Inc.

I certainly apologize for your frustrations. In reviewing your account, I do see you are being billed based on the meter reads obtained from the meter for your home. We certainly apologize if you did not receive the bill that was mailed to you; however, we do offer eBilling to receive your bill via email so you do not have to worry about delays with the ****. We also have your account available to view online at anytime including your transaction ledger and copies of bills.L. P.

The water meter was not accurately read from October to March and was underestimated. So by the time my meter was actually read on 2/21/23, I received the high usage. My household can never consume 51,000 gallons in 1 month. If you look at my bills from October to March, it says I consumed a total of 12,970 gallons. This is inaccurate when I know I consumed more each month. So with the falsified underestimated bills those months, led us to a high water bill in March when the meter was read. My house consumes a minimum of 7k gallons a month. There is substantial evidence the meters were not read those months. I’m not sure how you can’t see the issue of what is occurring after many residents have complained about the same exact issue.Review fromMark B

1 starMy first bill came and WOW!!! what a shock. It was not for just one month but for the entire time that the meter was installed plus the ridiculous amount of fees. The extra fees are just plain scam and pure greed. My apartment office states that they were behind in sending in the paperwork that is why it took several months to get the first bill, well that is between you and the apartment office and is not my issue. I will be contacting the appropriate local and state government agencies to investigate this company and its policies.Water Systems, Inc.

1 starThe water bill total for all 12 units on property with septic not sewer is $300 a month. Utility bills are public record, the water bill billed to each individual unit each month is $150-$300 a month. Landlord will take money intended for rent and apply to this fraudulent water bill before crediting to rent. Huge scam, fraudulent charges, and fake Styrofoam boxes called “meters” that a handy man who works for the landlord supposedly installed, the water billing services did not. Never signed or agreed to any utility bill being put in my name however receive a bill in my name every month, last I checked that was fraud. Horrible customer service, this company takes full advantage of the fact they work for the landlords.Water Systems, Inc.

We certainly apologize for any confusion or frustrations. As the third-party billing company, we are hired to bill at the direction of property ownership/management and were provided your information to bill you for the usage for your unit . If you feel this is incorrect, you may want to review your lease or speak with property management. Please note, the foam enclosures do include a submeter that measures the water for your unit so you are billed based on the usage for your individual unit. The foam enclosure is to help protect from extreme temperatures. If you would like to discuss your account in further detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly.R. R.

1 starHorrible staff. They yelled at me, hung up on me, and consistently said they will call back with no call back. Their insufficient information and staff members that are not educated in the company cost me money and time. I wish I could give it a zero amount of stars. Tia, whom was a supervisor was completely unprofessional and the worst person I have ever talked to over the phone. She should be fired. As for the director, she cut me off of speech on multiple occasions and was also rude, but not as much as Tia. Tia should be fired from that position along with the director. I have asked this staff on multiple occasions throughout sixteen months of paying a $5.00 convenience fee. I was told there was nothing I can do until today, sixteen months later. I want a refund for that convenience fee for sixteen months, $80. Either train your staff to know about ACH, which takes that refund off, or get out of the position you are in. Horrible company and only ruins peoples financial lives. Plus the most rude people I have ever talked to, Tia needs to be fired!Review fromBrian S

1 starYou double charged me for the final month for the same amount, the amount I've been paying does not match up with your "usage" amount. You are over charging and suspiciously the bill continues to go up despite not using the water or gas. I file a chargeback because I authorized a single payment of 1 bill and now you're going to charge me a $30.00 fee. I did not authorize a double payment. Fix your system and stop scamming customers.Water Systems, Inc.
