I bought a new Nissan in December of 2024. After 10 months the car quit charging correctly and I called the dealership. I said it was beyond the 36000 miles warranty and they told me over the phone that it would still be no charge to get a diagnosis. After I took the car in they said I needed a new battery and alternator for $1800. I said I couldn’t afford that I’d try to fix it myself. They charged me $109 and said when I signed in I agreed to a charge. I said they told me over the phone it would be free and they said the guy on the phone was wrong. They charged my card but I didn’t sign anything.

The next day I took the car to express oil in ft Oglethorpe. The mechanic cleaned the contacts on the alternator and said that’s all that it needed. He didn’t charge me anything. The car has been running fine for 3 weeks and 2000 miles. I filed a dispute with the debit card company but it may take 90 days

Purchased a frontier 2024 with add on running board, charged 1795. Today we git it installed got the receipt at the cashier worth 870 only. Went to the sales manager and agent, they were angry at me and rude as if im nkt a customer, felt discriminated never felt any respect. Calling my attention like im a slave. There are also charges that they cant explain and inconsistent with the finance agent whi explained to us the purchase agreement.

******* agreed to pay $1795 for factory installed running boards with the purchase of his 2024 Frontier.  He came into the dealership and had the running boards installed.   He was given the accounting copy of the invoice that showed the cost of the running boards.   When ******* asked about it, I clearly answered that we made a profit on the sale of the running boards.  At that point ******* got upset and stormed away yelling something that we could not understand.  At no point was anyone but angry, except *******.  I explained to ******* that we are a business, and we are allowed to make profit on items we sell.

      Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

I agreed to pay 1795 because I thought the running board and installation costs 1795.

the running board is purchased from nissan worth 870 including installation. Why would nissan take another profit from the accessories that they are already sold to their consumers. They should have informed me so that i can order it directly from their parts department( just with bside their cashier) at the suggested retail price. Its  $925 for the sales department for just order the running board. How can they take take 1795 for a 870 worth of running board and installation? they shoul give their costumer the best offer they can give. Mazda and honda didnt do that to me. And i dint yell they are the one yelled at me, i was upset they dont talk to me like a costumer just because im asian? Cashier, parts dept, receptionist and other were all polite to me.
$1795 for a $870 worth of  service and parts. The rest is a tip? $925 just for them to order it for me? Only in there dealership.

      Sincerely,

I bought a Acura MXD for $10,000 at Mountain View Nissan in Chattanooga. I bought it July 11, and my car immediately started having issues the day after. I went up there the next day to turn in my old title of the car that I traded in, and I verbally mentioned it to my car salesman. He basically told me he didn’t know and that was weird, and did not offer to resolve the problem. I haven’t had the car for even two months, and now I need a new transmission. I have called for help, but I was basically told oh well, and that it’s on me to put in a transmission. Now I am stranded with no car and I am $10,000 in debt. I feel very cheated. I also had a kidney stone pop up when I was signing off on the car. I told my friend who was with me that I needed to go to the hospital. I felt very rushed into signing these papers, and I did not have the proper time to read over these papers before I signed off on it due to a medical issue. Not only was I rushed, but they also did not service the car before I drove off with it. Not only will they Not make things right, but I was also verbally sexually harassed by one of the workers while I was there the last time. This whole transaction has been very uncomfortable and devastating for me.

On April 30, 24, I brought my Quest in for diagnostic test. They came back with a list of problems. One of those stated that the arm bushing was damaged and broken. The mechanic told me that if I continued to drive it, then I would wreck. I didn’t have $10,000 for repairs and they pressured me into trading it in. I only got $1,000 for it. I regretted the trade-in and told them that I would still get a new car, but wanted to keep the van. I stated this several times before leaving the dealership, but they refused. I was extremely upset and the finance man told me to go make memories in my new car. The purchase was made late in the day. The following day, I called stating again that I wanted the van. They told me that it was gone. I found it a week later at another dealer. I bought it. They were nice about the situation. It was missing several items, including a full size spare tire and the regular spare. It has been checked out by two mechanics. They found nothing wrong with the van; even after being shown the list of “needed repairs”. I wrote the dealership asking for reimbursement ($10,000) based on the fact that I was completely lied to and given false information about needed repairs. They wrote back denying any liability. I have been told by mechanics and other individuals that this particular dealership is well-known to be dishonest towards women and the elderly. I wish that I had read reviews and the BBB site before going there.

      Ms. ***** traded
in her 2014 Quest on the purchase of a new 2024 Sentra on April 30, 2024.
No one recalls Ms. ***** expressing any discontent about trading-in her 2014
Quest at the time she closed on the purchase of the 2024 Sentra.
Moreover, recollections are that Ms. ***** called long after the deal closed –
likely the following week – about the traded 2014 Quest.  Regardless, the
van was no longer in our possession which was communicated to her at that time.

Ms. ******* decision to trade the 2014 Quest on April 30 was hers alone.  We make
deals with customers every day that don’t involve a trade-in.  While
removing the trade-in would have required an additional down payment from her
or an increase in the amount financed on the new vehicle, either solution would
have been acceptable to the dealership had she expressed this change of mind
      prior to closing.

      Relative to Ms.
******* disputed amount of $28,000, she wrote to us on June 19, 2024,
requesting payment of $11,945.52.  Respectfully, and as noted in the
dealership’s response, there is no obligation for the dealership to remunerate
her for her decision to purchase the 2014 Quest.  Moreover, the demand of
nearly $12,000 one month ago ballooning to a disputed amount today of $28,000
speaks to the nature of this complaint.

I am rejecting this response because:

I am asking for $10,000 based on the fact that I was lied to about the Quest’s needed repairs before the trade-in. In the written and BBB response from the business, they fail to address the fact that they LIED about needed repairs. If the business is untrustworthy about needed repairs, of course they will be untruthful about my wanting the van back before I left. I have read ****** reviews and other BBB reviews and I can see that I am not alone in my dissatisfaction with this business.

      Sincerely,

I bought a new Nissan Kicks from Mountain View Nissan on market street. I told them several times I did not want a service contract and they added one anyways. **** ********* had me to sign several documents with my father’s name which was the co-signer on the contract which I found out was illegal. I have asked that they make this right and they are bouncing me around. I have talked to the loan company and they said that the dealership can do something by faxes that the service contract has been taken off and they refuse to do so. I am reporting this to make you aware that their employe had me to sign my father’s name and it’s illegal so that they are aware of the shady dealings going on at this dealership

I bought a 2021 Nissan Rogue around Labor Day weekend. It has been in the shop twice for power steering issues. They kept it two days the first time and have had it a week this time. They say they can’t fix it without the Nissan website to show them how. They are supposed to be certified mechanic’s. I want my car repaired and returned.

      Business Response

      Date: 10/13/2023

The vehicle came in with a power steering issue.  We provided a rental car for the customer while we started the repairs to the vehicle. During the diagnosis we contacted Nissan to assist in the repair as well. With the assistance of the Nissan engineer we were asked to replace the Electronic Control module.  It was replaced and required programming. When we tried connecting to Nissan to program the module, the servers at Nissan were not working. That is the website we needed to work. It has the security software in it to program all vehicles.  If that server is down, we cannot program any Nissan vehicle.  Nissan servers came back online, and we programmed the vehicle.  Unfortunately, there is more to the repair than just the ECM.  A connector in the harness wasn't making proper connection and caused the ECM to fail.  We are working with Nissan directly to get the connector to fix the vehicle.   Customer was updated on 10-13-23 to explain the repair needed and the timeline.  The customer is in a rental provided by Mountain View Nissan and Nissan Warranty at no charge to the customer.

      To whom it may concern,

We could not trade the Dodge Ram in on trade due to the miles and running condition of the vehicle.   The vehicle has drove 50,000 miles in two years and the motor is making a very loud ticking sound.  As said before what you did or do with the truck is your decision but again due to condition and payoff we cannot trade for it.  Thank you

After receiving text messages from the company, I went to Mountain View Nissan to look at a used car. A salesman greeted me, and I could not recall his name. He had a car brought around for me to look at. The vehicle was missing the heat shield from the engine and appeared to have been repainted. I was told that the price of the car was $18,000.00. I told the salesman the price, primarily based on the repaint and missing stuff, needed to be lowered. They seemed firm on the price, and I got up and left. I know that the salesman was pretty upset that I left. While I was at the dealership, I did not sign anything, either on paper or on a tablet. I began receiving letters from various financial institutions informing me that I was being denied financing for a car at Mountain View. I ended up receiving 12 letters from different banks. I never authorized Mountain View to run any financing credit checks or inquiries, and I am now concerned that they have done so and harmed my credit score. I have sent a complaint and copies of the letters to the TN Attorney General's office, but I wanted also to file a complaint with BBB. What they did was wrong as I got up and left before there was any agreement to purchase the car.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 06/23/2023

I wanted to clear up a misunderstanding regarding my complaint. I now realize that when I went to the dealership the salesman put an electronic tablet in front of me and asked me to use my finger and sign on a line. He did not tell me what I was signing. I did not know that it was an application. When I think of an application, I think it will be a paper form and have different areas that I have to complete, such as my address and so forth. This was just a place to sign my name with my finger.
Yesterday, a man called and said he was the general manager at Mountain View and he told me that I had signed an application. It was at this point I did realize that the electronic tablet device must have been an application. But, I certainly did not know it - but I want to be honest and state that I did put my signature on the device and I did give them my social security number.
All that being said, I did not agree to any deal and did not know that they were going to send anything to any banks.  When they told me the price of the vehicle I declined and walked out.  The general manager told me that they only sent my application to 4 banks.  I disagree, as I received 12 rejection letters from banks.  In any event, I did not know I was agreeing to let them run my credit when I signed the tablet and had I been told what I was signing, I would have told them not to do anything since we did not agree on a price. There was no reason to send any application to any banks because there was no agreement to purchase anything.

The GM also told me that he was not going to remove or retract the inquiries that they created when they ran my credit.

      Mr *****,

We got your personal information from you, and you signed a credit application.  Since we are not the banks, we have to send the application to them to decide what kind of loan they will give you.  This is normal day to day business we do and the salesperson you were dealing with has worked here for over 10 years and is very knowledgeable and a good communicator.  I apologize if you felt differently.  As discussed on the phone we cannot remove the inquire from the bank.

12/16/22 I was forced into paying $2500 down and trading my car for a truck that if I keep I’ll be paying over $88,000 for. I informed the sales agent and finance person multiple times I cannot afford this and have been trying to reach the sales manager to no avail. No one will return my calls. I want to return the truck and get my vehicle back and if not then just to return the truck because I cannot afford the payments and will end up homeless.

Customer reviews posted on/after July 5, 2024, will be published indefinitely unless otherwise voluntarily retracted by the user who submitted the content, or BBB no longer believes the review is authentic.
