My husband and I built our first home with RP Communities in 2022, in the Baldwin Park community. From the start, the experience was smooth and enjoyable. We had the opportunity to work closely with the design team to select all of our home’s finishes, and we also had several on-site meetings with the construction team to walk through the build process and ask questions along the way.
We truly love our home and have experienced only very minor issues since moving in. Overall, we believe we received a quality-built home. The community itself has also been a great fit for us—amenities like the pool and the walkable layout really enhance the neighborhood feel.
Based on our experience, I would definitely recommend RP Communities to others looking to build a new home.

We're so glad to hear your experience in Baldwin Park was a positive one, and that the process felt smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Our team really values those on-site conversations and design decisions with homeowners, so it’s great to know that made a difference for you. We love hearing how much you're enjoying both your home and the community. Thanks again for the kind words and for recommending us, it’s been a pleasure to be part of your homebuilding journey!

I cannot begin to describe the horrible experience I have had with RP Homes by having them build my first new home ever in the Strawberry Hills Community. I chose this area because it was near my work and was so excited for a new home. The home that they built for me was riddled with issues from day one with things like: a window installed upside down causing a leak, the wrong flooring installed in parts of the home, a backyard that was seeded with “grass” that never grew in, a cracked porch post, and SO many other issues. The worst part is the majority of the warranty issues I have had are still not repaired, even though being reported over nine months ago. The warranty team has not even reached back out to me to arrange for the repairs. This “company” is by far the WORST company I’ve ever done business with. They have fired at least 3-4 contractors since the start of the subdivision and do not even offer solutions or communication to the residents. I foresee a class action filing before it’s over as the majority of the residents are experiencing the same issues as me and are miserable with the company. The sad thing is, the community is full of great people and young families that spent a lot of money to live here and build their dream homes. SHAME ON YOU RP HOMES!

We’re truly sorry to hear that your experience has not lived up to expectations. Building a new home should be exciting and rewarding, and we understand how disappointing it can be when challenges arise. While we recognize there have been concerns throughout your warranty process, we want to assure you that we’ve taken your feedback seriously and continue to work toward resolution.
To clarify a few items you mentioned:
The window that was originally installed incorrectly has been corrected.
Regarding flooring: your original selection was backordered at the time of construction, and we worked with you to select an alternative. We currently have a claim open with the manufacturer about some concerns and are awaiting next steps.
The front porch post, which had more cracking than typical for wood, has already been replaced.
The backyard was seeded with straw matting as part of our standard package; we do offer backyard sod as an upgrade, though it was not selected at the time of purchase.
As for the fireplace mantle, we’ve agreed to replace it and are currently waiting for the new one to arrive for installation.
We understand how frustrating delays can be and regret any gaps in communication you’ve experienced. Our warranty team has remained in contact and will continue to work toward resolving the remaining items. We’re committed to delivering a home and experience that meets our standards and yours.
Thank you for being part of the Strawberry Hills community. It’s clear how much you care about your home and neighborhood, and we hope to earn back your trust as we bring these items to resolution.
