    I get calls from this company so often, but when I actually try to pay, it says the card is invalid. I know it's not on me because ****** *** took the same card with no problem. Y'all need to fix this mess if your gonna bother me about paying so often.

    ******* and Fudge has been calling me over an over again regarding a debt they are trying to collect regarding a student loan. But they have violated my privacy by contacting my work place, and my family remembers asking for myself. They have called multiple times in one day, seems like they spam call me and I dont appreciate it. This seems like Its a violation of the ****** I do have some proof as well that I will put below, I have more but I cannot go back that far in the call log, I also have a screen recording of a voicemail that my family member left saying someone keeps calling them and asking for me as well. It very much seems like Im being harassed and so is my family.

    Debt collector absolutely harassing me- screaming at me, not offering any opportunity to resolve the issue at hand. Calling before 8a, and after 9p. Demanding personal information, threatening me!

    I am rejecting this response because:

    I continue to get calls at all hours from this business over an incorrect bill from ***. A refund on my account has been "charged" to my account even though it is a refund and listed as such- and then accumulated late fees- all of this was supposed to be waived. Williams & Fudge has continued to call without identifying themselves or leaving any voicemails. They were to strike this debt from my *** account as it was an error and I am still receiving endless calls. This refund was to pay for the final tuition payment on my account- bringing my account to zero as was stated by *** on a phone. Williams & Fudge however has never been called off- they need to report back to *** that this has been fully resolved.

    Upon receipt of the consumers rejection to the previously submitted and accepted response, the account was reviewed.  As previously stated, the account was returned to the creditor.  WFI does not have the authority to waive an account balance placed by the creditor.  Only the creditor may perform that action, at their discretion. The account was closed with us on 3/8/2023, and no further communication has been attempted by our office.   The consumer is encouraged to reach out to the creditor to make further inquiries to learn if the creditor has retained services of another company to help resolve the consumers balance.  Should the consumer have additional questions, they are encouraged to reach out to ***************************, who is Williams & Fudge, **** Ombudsman.     This company did not contact me directly and contacted my parents. Which is completely unprofessional and ridiculous I am a grown married women. That is unacceptable.

    I should not be contacted for this debt because it was incurred when I was an employee for ********* The classes were supposed to be paid for by EdAssist through the employer. I need provided to me something from EdAssist to say that they refused to pay the amount so as it stands I dont see why Im being contacted for the funds. On top of that, ****************** was neglectful in providing me with timely information which they admitted especially when it came to processing my claim to them because during the time of my Tuition Credit Waiver. I had a death in the family which I informed them (sent them a copy of the death certificate) of and was unable to complete the course due to mental stress. They took their time getting back to me and I dont recall being aware of owing any funds. I need proof sent to me that I owe Williams & Fudge these funds. ******* never contacted me and may have written off this debt. They were the original creditor and with this being a debt collector, the money is not going to them. I dont owe Williams & Fudge and would like them to remove the debt they are trying to collect on me until they have sent proof in the form of a debt verification letter that they are legally entitled to speak to me regarding this debt. I am a victim of identity theft and I need documented proof regarding this debt.

    I am rejecting this response because:This is a continuation of a previous BBB case file #********. I received the paperwork that Williams & Fudge provided. These papers do not show me what I requested. They just sent me Capellas Statement of Account. I want to be provided paperwork showing where ******* requested payment from EdAssist first and that it was rejected along with the reason of rejection from EdAssist, if so. They were supposed to request payment from EdAssist through ********* my employer at that time, because they were responsible for paying my classes first. That was the agreement under the ***************** Tuition Assistance program. Please provide me with that documentation.

    Multiple calls to myself and extended family . About a an amount owed that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never signed any agreements with this company. so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the FDCPA.I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.

    I received an email to Williams & Fudge on December 12, 2022, advising me that I had until January 26, 2023 to write to them to dispute all or part of the debt in which it was claimed I owed to *********************************. During the dispute timeframe, all collections were to be stopped until they responded to my dispute. I was contacted on January 11, 2023 and asked to pay said debt. I informed the lady that according to the email, I have until January 26th, 2023 to dispute all are part of the debt, in which she replied "why do I need to do that?" and with an "it's my debt!" She was really rude and tried to bully me into accepting said debt and even went as far as to saying since the call was recorded that I wouldn't be able to dispute because I told her that ********************************* never reached out to me about repayment and the times I have reached out to them, I did not receive any feedback. But somehow my student loan is in collections with this terrible company.The debt claimed to be owed started off at ******* on December 12, 2022. Then it went to ******* on January 27, 2023, to ******* on January 27, 2023, when I received an email from Williams & Fudge in response to my dispute. They sent me one document that showed in the description of debt as being "the student's balance is now zero" and it was signed by *******************************, the collections specialist at *********************************. I have reached out to Williams & Fudge for the sixth time and still have yet to receive any feedback to the debt claimed to be owed by me. I reached out two times via **** ***** and ***** two times via their web portal, and two times via email to the agent they assigned to me, ***************************. After how they handled the phone call, I notified them in writing that I would like to proceed with further communication that way. If I owe a debt why can they not confirm?I don't know how they can break the collection laws and keep getting away with it!

    Upon Notification of the consumers complaint, the account was placed on hold.  The initial communication was sent to the consumer on 12/12/2022.  First contact was made with the consumer on 1/11/2023, where the history of the account was verbally provided to the consumer.  After the conversation with the consumer had ended, on 1/11/2023, the consumer then responded to the communication sent to her on 12/12/2022. A dispute letter was received from the consumer on 1/17/2023.  The account was marked as a dispute and documentation was requested from the client. The consumer then responded to the initial communication sent on 12/12/2022 on 1/26/2023, reinforcing her dispute of the balance owed.  On 1/27/2023, this document was sent to the consumer.  On 1/31/2023, an additional document was received from the consumer disputing the debt and requesting no further contact.  The balance in full was paid on 1/31/2023.  The account has been closed as paid in full.

    received a notice that I have a collection from WILLIAMS AND FUDGE I on my credit report. It says it was opened on 05/27/2022 for $ *********************************** ******* that I am not aware of nor am I responsible for. I never went into business with this company or signed any agreements with them so they should not be reporting anything on my credit. This is a violation of my rights as a consumer according to the **** and FDCPA.I would like for this collection to be removed asap or I will file a CFPB and FTC report.

    I was called by ********************* this morning. He was incredibly rude asking me to settle my debt with my university. He called me irresponsible multiple times and kept saying that I didnt know what I was talking about. When I called back to make a complaint, I spoke to his manager *********************** (sp?). She was also unhelpful and dishonest. Multiple times she said she hadnt heard the call and would need to review. Then she slipped and quoted *** verbatim and tried to say shed just walked by his desk. She also said that she didnt understand what else he was supposed to call me besides irresponsible because I wasnt taking any of the options I was given. If ******************************** want to collect debts for companies, they need to have a little more tact. Lecturing people and insulting them must be the business model but I cant see how it benefits anyone. Ill be posting this review literally anywhere I can find ******* and Fudge listed.
