    I recently called ******************* to re enroll into courses to find out my account was sent to collections. The reason it was sent to collections is because of non attendance fees for classes I dropped and reached out to department heads to do so. I tried to resolve with **** and instead they sent the account into collections. I do not believe I owe this debt.

    Williams & Fudge, Inc. is supposedly a collector of the debt I owe to the university I used to work at. I was applying for a mortgage to buy a new house and ordered a credit report that had a collection filled against me in Nov 1, 2023 for charges filed in Nov 16, 2020. I called the ******************************** to get an understanding of what is this charge for, and the representative was incredibly rude asking me to settle my debt with the university for the tuition that I could not have incurred because I've never studied in that university, I was just working there and my employer confirmed that I do not owe anything to them. The representative called me irresponsible multiple times and kept saying that I didnt know what I was talking about, that they called me multiple times saying that I owed the university for tuition (which I do not remember such calls but would imagine that I have just assumed them to be a scam calls since I DID NOT STUDY AT THIS UNIVERSITY. Lecturing people and insulting them must be their business model but I cant see how it benefits anyone. I want my account with them canceled and the debt to go to the original creditor so I can figure out what it is for or it is was just a mistake that costed my family a chance to purchase a good house under more favorable terms if I didn't have that collection reported.

    The company Williams & Fudge, *** at ********************************************************** have been calling my personal cell phone, my work phone and contacting my coworkers and family members for a debt that that is not handled by them. I do have a debt for my student loans but not with them. I have asked repeatedly for them to remove my contact info to no avail. They are falsely claiming I owe them a debt and harassing me, my family and my coworkers. After investigating online, I see I am not the only one being harassed for a nonexistent debt.

    I have a small disputed debt with *********************** over remaining tuition costs from over 5 years ago. The company they hired WFS has began a calling campaign to bully and insult me over this remaining balance. They are using abusive collection tactics and attempting to intimidate me into paying the debt as opposed to listening and working with me. Their treatment is absolutely insulting and disrespectful, these collection companies have been getting away with this sick behavior towards consumers for years. I dont want them to contact me ever again. Regards,****

    I dont have any debt with Williams & Fudge. I have never had a contract with this collection agency who has placed this negative item on my credit report. My original creditor was *** Communications which was paid directly and I closed the account.

    I entered my debt into a debt consolidation program around March 2023. One of my creditors *************** contacted my debt Attorney and settled the account and balance for repayment at a lower cost of *****. A few weeks later ******* Fudge is reporting they own the debt and the full amount of ****** is due. I havre never received validation of this debt, nor contacted about this and the debt has been settled between my debt attorney and the original debit or. I disputed with ******* and submitted a copy of the debt and debt still remains despite the debt being settled with the original creditor and my debt attorney.

    Upon notification of the complaint the account history was reviewed against the allegations.  The consumer and their attorney have entered into an agreement to settle the account over a period by making monthly payments towards the total balance.  The settlement has not been completed and is not scheduled to be completed until all terms of the approved agreement have been met, which is scheduled to be completed in February 2025.  Williams & Fudge, *** did not purchase the consumers account for the creditor, we are servicing the account on their behalf as a collection agency. Until the account has been settled, WFI shall continue to report the account to the credit reporting agency, Equifax, until the settlement has been completed.  We are attaching documents provided by the creditor that validates the debt.     I am rejecting this response because:

    I am not denying the debt. The debt exist but has been settled between my attorney and the original creditor.

    Therefore, it is fraudulent of you to try and collect any amount when arrangement and payment has been settled with the original creditor.

    Since you want to continue to try to fraudulently collect on a debt that is being paid you will have to respond to the **** ******** General State Attorney and my attorney.

    The consumer should refer to her attorney.  WFI has not made direct contact with the consumer.  The attorney acting on behalf of the consumer has made arrangements to settle the account regarding the account placed with our office by the creditor.  WFI is the collection agency for the creditor. WFI has communicated with the consumers attorney to honor the creditors approved settlement terms.  The creditor has approved the terms for the consumers balance to be reduced and paid upon until the terms are completed.  The terms of the agreement have not been fulfilled as of today.  The terms are a monthly arrangement that began 9/29/2023 and is set to be fulfilled on 2/28/2025.   WFI is not acting in a fraudulent manner, rather is assisting the consumer in meeting the creditors approved settlement terms.  Should the individual have additional questions, they are encouraged to reach out to ***************************, who is Williams & Fudge, **** Ombudsman.
