After driving for 14 hours, we stopped at this motel and were assigned a room on the first floor because we could not climb stairs. We got everything in the room and discovered there was an electrical problem severe enough to cause a fire. We were assigned another room on the first floor but when we settled in, discovered the TV did not work, there was no microwave and the telephone did not work. We complained to the front desk by walking to reception only to be told no one could come down and fix anything. They wanted to send us, for the third time, to another room on the second floor but we could not climb stairs. We told them we were asking for a refund and were told we'd have to speak with the owner in the morning. We did not want to get back on the road because we were exhausted and were afraid to drive without rest. The following morning when we left, we asked for the refund and were told the owner was still asleep. They could not let us in the reception area because the owner was the only one who had a key (the signs indicated the motel was open 24-7, which is not true).

I just called the owner and he refused to give us a refund stating we had slept in the motel and therefore we could not get our money back. We argued we could not climb stairs to go in another room and did not want to get back on the road for safety reasons. He basically said he didn't care. He was rude, very rude.

This place, which is advertised as the Executive Inn in Ridgeway, SC, indicates it is called Ramada Limited on our receipt. It is located at 70 Contractors Way, Ridgewood, SC 29130. Avoid this place at all costs. It is a dump and the aminities in the rooms are broken or don't work. They do not care about the people who stay at their motel, they're only interested in making money. The entire experience was a nightmare. Don't stay there! Peggy Kunkel, Zephyrhills, FL. I wanted to leave a zero star rating but had to leave at lease one star in order to post this
