We did a short term rental, our lease was up March 1, 2024. I went in and paid Feb 2024 rent and gave forwarding address for security deposit. My husband suddenly passed away so I vacated even earlier today in February and told them they could re-rent it and also provided my address a second time for my deposit. Never received a letter or deposit. I drove to the office and found out they shut down and have stiffed others. If anyone know of a lawsuit we can join please let me know.Initial Complaint

We own a condo in ************. It is a rental property that is managed by Escape Property Management. They've managed our property since May 2023. They stopped sending rental revenue two months ago. I received an email saying they are closing accounts. I emailed back asking if they went out of business. There was no response. I logged in to the owner portal and it wouldn't grant ****** reading, "Sorry, you cannot login because you don't have any units."I've emailed several times with no response. I need to know if anyone is in our unit because we need to change the locks. No response. I need to collect all of the keys and and I want to be paid the money they owe. I'm confused and worried of what I may find when I go look at our unit. There are other clients who are experiencing the same thing. I entered into a lease for the rental of a condo at ****************************************************************, ** for 6 weeks. The agreed upon rental price was $1983 and a security deposit of $1500 was charged. Per the agreement terms, the security deposit was to be returned within 30 days after I vacated the property which was March 1, 2024. The company also charged an extra $49 for the rental period because, as they told me, they made a mistake when calculating the rental amount. I had paid the extra before I noticed the difference and questioned them on it. Nothing was said before they added the extra amount. I was later told my ******* that **** told him it would be refunded. I have emailed and tried to call the office, ******************************* and ********************* about the return of the security deposit numerous times. The last time I spoke with ******* was over a week ago and was told he would check into it and call me within the hour, which did not happen. He has not answered any of my calls or text messages since. More than the ****************************************************** getting my security deposit and overcharged rent back. Total is $1549. I paid total of $3532 to this company for a rental that was to be $1983. I am requesting refund of the security deposit and the overcharge of $49.Initial Complaint

Escape Property Management (EPM) manages my property. My tenants rent payment every month is $2,000.00. EPM takes 10% every month which leaves $1,800.00 owed to me. They have not given me my money for February 2024 nor have given me a time table to when I will have my money. *********************, Property manager, doesnt answer the phone or emails. I have tried calling EPM office for weeks now and nobody answers. I have tried to stop by EPM office multiple times but nobody is there. As stated in our contract, I am not aloud to contact tenant directly and I dont want to breach. This has been going on for over a year and nothing is done about it.Initial Complaint

I had a contract with Escape Management to rent out my rental/airbnb property. They lied about many things over the year. They charge high fees instead of the 20% fee and add on multiple extra fees to the clients. The company also pays a month and a half later than they collect my funds which is not great but now they pay 2 months behind with no warning and currently not paying at all. They collected my rent 2 months ago and refuse to pay it to me. I can not get in contact via email , cell, text or office calls. They refuse to answer or pay me my rent due. On June 21, 2023 I booked a property through VRBO and paid a deposit of $1,435.75. On August 27, 2023, I cancelled the booking. VRBO refunded they're booking fee of $267 on 8/27/23. I am still waiting for Escape Property Management to refund the $1,168.75 they owe me. The cancellation was to be free through 5/2/24. An admin assistant confirmed on 11/6 that a check was in the mail, on 12/4 she let me know that the post office had 'lost the check'. I was given an email for someone in billing, she never responded to any of my emails. I'm currently in the process of opening a complaint file with VRBO, and I have also consulted with a lawyer about pursuing action through small claims court.Initial Complaint

I contracted Escape Property Management to manage my home and rent it out . I signed the agreement and gave worked with them for 1 1/2 years. In the agreement and agreed the rent less their percentage would be deposited into my account by the 15th of every due month. To date only 1 or 2 months has been on time. Last month has not been deposited with Nov month paid 12/8 that was due 11/15. I have called , texted, and emailed with one return call asking for by details to wire the rent last Thursday with no deposit to date . Again to day I called left messages. I would like to terminate my agreement or be paid timely with payments made on time.
