Glenn’s installed a new downstairs HVAC unit for me back in November. This unit has totally failed. I have had 2 different HVAC companies come out and look at the unit and both companies have stated that this unit was installed incorrectly and poorly. Moreover, it has been stated that the coolant is not getting to the system properly. This is unacceptable and Glenn’s should be held responsible.

We are writing in response to the complaint recently submitted to our company. Our company recieved a claim from the customers home warranty company and scheduled the customer on Monday November 11, 2024. The technician arrived at the customers home at 12:15pm and proceeded to diagnose the issues with the HVAC system. Our company then submitted the diagnosis and recommendations for replacement of the equipment needed. Then the warranty made there decision to replace the Evaporator Coil and the Outdoor Condenser Unit (Furnace not included in replacement). Once the warranty company ordered and sent us the equipment, we then scheduled the customer for the installation on Friday November 15, 2024. Customer paid his Non-covered Cost of $1,150.00 to us (This amount was approved from the home warranty company) at the completion of the installation. Unit up and running as normal, customer satisfied with the service. Since this service was through his home warranty, the customer receives a 30-90 day labor warranty. If any issues were found in the future our company didn't receive a call from the customer until now that he was having any problems with the system. We would have resolved any issues if we could have been notified of this problem if they were any at all. The issues were found by two other companies stating that they found problems and we don't have any verifications of that. Customer reported to the home warranty of the issues and now they have withheld the remaining funds that should have been paid to our company. We never received an amount of $3,000.00 so therefore no refund of that amount would be considered.

    Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.

My air conditioning still isn’t working. I have had two companies both concur that Glenn’s did not install my system correctly to begin with. Moreover, a representative from Glenn’s said they would be out to access the situation and nobody has been out.

    Regards,

Glenn’s technicians came out to inspect a heating issue that we reported to our home warranty company. I paid a $100 fee upfront to the techs. They told us that they found Bad Switches and had to pick up at the supply shop. They told me that they were common and shouldn’t be hard to get. They didn’t show for a couple days so I called Glenn’s and I was told that they had sick calls, so it would be a couple more days. After Many attempts to contact through texts and calls and A Month Later I called the Home warranty company and they authorized me to get someone else since they also tried to contact Glenn’s to find out what the delay was and they didn’t get a response. Turns out a different HVAC company came out and We Paid another Service Fee … he told us We Didn’t Have Bad Switches. They fixed the Same day. I requested my $100 back from Glenn’s and they won’t reply. Failure to properly diagnose Failure to Finish the job.

Yes our technicians went out to the customers home through a home warranty company. Customers fee for us to come out to his home through the home warranty is $100 which is his required deductible. As for the trip back out to his home for the repairs at that time we notified the customer that we had 3 technicians out with the flu and at that time he did not respond. No company comes out to a home for free whether or not it’s a home warranty service or a service call. At the time of the first visit technicians received a code on the board for bad pressure switch. They followed proper protocol. I’m sorry that we were not able to satisfy your needs.

I have already submitted the statement. Glenn’s showed up took $100 , misdiagnosed the issue stating that we had bad switches and they would return But never did despite many calls and texts. 1 month later I had to pay another company to come and diagnose. They fixed our Heat and there weren’t switches involved. I want Glenn’s to reimburse my $100 and that this complaint remain on file.
