      On June 21, Elite emailed us a stock response after we sent a few emails with some concerns of ours based on our experience of this timeshare ownership as a whole. We’ve waited over two months for their response and no effort was placed into responding to our emails. Instead they simply told us if we wanted to exit our timeshare, we had to pay $1500. We sent an email shortly after to ask that the exit fee of $1500 be dropped to $0. We are both retired military senior citizens and disabled on a fixed income who have not used this but two times since 2010. We have paid it off and the dues whenever they came time to pay despite our challenges with finances, this timeshare availability, and our inability to travel due to our health declining. They have gotten their money’s worth out of us considering our usage history. We asked they waive the fee and consider it not only a military/ senior discount, but rectifying the wrongs we’ve faced when speaking to their sales team who implied they would buy this back from us, not that we had to buy our way out. We asked to speak to a supervisor as well and one never reached out. The lack of attention after paying this company thousands of dollars is gut wrenching. Buyer beware. The $1500 exit offer expired July 21 to which we sent our email inquiry long before this date. They have yet to reach out to us again.

      transition fee assessed by the Association for all instances where the
      ownership of a timeshare unit is transferred regardless of circumstance.

      I am rejecting this response because:

       

      We feel it is only fit that Elite Resort Group covers the cost of the $1500 fee requested. They
      stated regardless of the circumstances, it has to be paid. This is understandable, however, as
      mentioned before, we are both retired military senior citizens and disabled on a fixed income
      and have used this twice since 2010 but remained current on the bills being sent out. The
      company also did not address our request to speak to a supervisor. We have complaints
      regarding the experience itself. We are not simply wanting to cancel. There are many reasons
      behind this outside of our personal life. It is extremely difficult to use and also to book anything.
      The sales people set you up with many false expectations for how easy this will be to use and
      how often you can use it along with being able to use it anywhere at anytime. This is absolutely
      not the case but this is what we paid to get. Either contact the salesmen to cover the $1500 cost
      because they were not honest or take from the years of fees we’ve paid to cover that $1500.
      Our circumstance should not require US to pay the penalty fee. We were the victims and we’ve
      been paying for years.

      I own a timeshare with Elite Resort Group at their ***** **** resort and requested to cancel it due to my unhappiness with their product and service. Unfortunately, they denied my request after supposedly reviewing my case.

      When they sold me the timeshare, they misled me into believing that it was an easy and practical way to travel. They also did not explain to me the complexities of timeshare ownership, like the inability to sell or give away a timeshare. I was completely in the dark about how this timeshare would financially impact me for life. They were very aggressive in trying to get me to purchase this product and even exaggerated its benefits. My life changed drastically two months after I purchased this timeshare when my husband passed away and their company is aware of this. Since then, I have been unable to travel or use the timeshare as much as I originally intended and it has GREATLY affected me financially.

      I am so disappointed by Elite Resort Group's actions, and the fact that they are not willing to work with me or recognize my financial and emotional hardships and stress this has caused has been extremely disheartening. I feel misled by them and strongly believe that their sales staff was purposeful in what they did. I hope that the Better Business Bureau help me rectify this situation. Thank you for your time.

      that unit is located and not Elite Resort Group, Inc. In this case, the request

      This complaint is regarding Elite Resort Group and their board of directors for denying our request to cancel our timeshare contract without explanation. We were sold false promises and placed into a trap of debt that has only caused us problems and hasn't made vacationing easier one bit like it was supposed to. The sales staff at Elite Resort Group led us to believe that we would be able to vacation yearly with just the points from our first purchase. When we told them of the issues we had with our timeshare ownership, they only offered us an upgrade and more points which didn't actually help alleviate any of the issues we were having. In fact, this only caused us to sink further into debt. We have reached out multiple times to Elite Resort Group, asking for help with our situation and all they do is ignore us or give excuses. We think that Elite Resort Group should take back our contract and sell it to a customer who will be more informed of the pitfalls of timeshare ownership. We are deeply frustrated and regretful of our decision to sign up with Elite Resort Group in the first place and find it terrible that they conduct business in such a dishonest way... We hope that you will help us in rectifying this situation!

      Elite Resort Group’s sales staff used very deceitful methods to pressure us into purchasing a timeshare with them. We’ve tried multiple times to contact their company to resolve this situation but they have failed to respond and we feel super frustrated and helpless.


      The sales staff lied to us by claiming that the timeshare would be a good investment and would increase in value and said that it could easily be sold if we ever wanted out. We now know that all of these statements were false, and they were deliberately said just to persuade us into buying the timeshare against our better judgement.


      The maintenance fees have been increasing each year without us knowing about it beforehand. This has made our timeshare an even bigger financial burden and one that we can no longer afford. They didn’t give us all of the information necessary to make an educated decision. The services/vacation plan we purchased is no where NEAR being worth the costs associated with it and if we had been better informed beforehand then we wouldn’t be in this situation.


      We have been trying to ask that Elite Resort Group cancel our timeshare immediately and refund all payments that have been made so far. We believe their behavior has violated our consumer rights and we just want to see them take some accountability for the situation they’ve put us in and make it right.

      “The Elite Resort Group, Inc. (“ERG”) was not involved in the
      sale of this timeshare unit to the Complainants.  Rather, ERG is the
      management company for the Association that is charged with operating the
      resort.  So, ERG is in no way responsible for any issues regarding the sale
      of this unit. With respect to the maintenance fees, the Associations sets those
      fees pursuant to a budget of shared expenses at the resort at which the
      timeshare unit is located.  Obviously, prices of operation increase
      annually due to inflation, and while the Board of Directors of the Association
      attempts to keep the annual increases as low as possible, it is just an
      unfortunate reality that these fees will increase year over year. “

      The following are issues that need to be address in our unit:
      1. Walls were leaking water onto exposed wires.
      2. No cover plate on exposed wires in a bathroom
      3. No cover plate on sprinkler heads.
      4. Took 4 days to repair one leak and we were without water for a period of time.
      5. The garbage disposal had a bolt that was inserted into it and we almost got hurt.
      6. There was a delay getting into our unit. We were not contacted or allow to get the code and the required time.
      7. When we arrived items were missing from the unit and I was told I had to go and pick up items that were disposed to be delivered. They wanted me to pay a fee and then do the job.
      8. We had water leaking onto exposed wires and the 24 hour hotline would not pick up the phone or return a call.
      9. Had to make over 9 phones calls to get someone to the unit.

      I emailed this company twice since March telling them to cancel this scam they sold me and didnt get a response until May! They did not even send us a response to our email. They sent us someone elses email addressed to some other owner, I assume. The response was three sentences summed up to no, the board does not approve. There was no questions asked by them, no explanation, no further contact information who might want to know WHY I asked to cancel which I simply put in my first two emails how they lied to me about basically everything to do with this just so they could get their commissions! I asked the following questions and they have still gone unanswered. Hopefully they will be addressed here.1. Who is **************? You addressed an email sent to use by the wrong name. You must be confusing us with someone else. We must ask you to present our account to the board after you speak to us to make sure they know who they are dealing with. Our names are *************************** and *********************; not *****..2. We have not explained our situation for your board to deny us so we are sure this is a mistake. Please have someone contact us to go over this. Wed like to write a letter to them for review, as well.3. Having to wait this long for a response after our initial email is a bit daunting. Can you please expedite this as we have already waited almost three months for you to mistake us for someone else.We asked for expedited customer service since we have stopped paying these crooks and they chose to ignore us completely.BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE SALESMEN. They LIE through their teeth and leave you with nothing but unaffordable debt.

      the Association that governs the resort at which the ***** ******** is
      located.  Every owner that transfers their interests to the Association is
      required to pay the fee.  It is not a fee charged by Elite Resort Group in

      I am writing to file a complaint against Elite Resort Group (*******). My wife and I were misled
      by their sales representative, ****, when we were pushed into purchasing a timeshare with
      them in 2017. We declined the initial offer of 15,000 points because it was beyond our budget.
      However, **** offered us even more points for only $7,700, including a military discount. We
      were assured that all we had to do was call to reserve and we would be able to enjoy the
      benefits of the timeshare. Unfortunately, we later discovered that the actual rooms available
      were totally unsuitable. This led me to cancel our reservation.
      We were never informed that we had to roll our points over if not used, which meant that we lost
      them. Every time I called to make a reservation, I was either told that nothing was available or
      that I would have to pay an additional fee. All of these issues have made us extremely
      dissatisfied with ******* Resorts, and we have been trying to cancel our timeshare for some
      time now.
      To our dismay, ******* Resorts has not responded to our correspondence in over 4 months.
      We have been making payments to them this whole time, which leads me to believe that they
      haven't responded to prolong the process. We have repeatedly asked for a cancellation of our
      timeshare, as I have had multiple health problems and my wife is hearing impaired, making it
      difficult for her to assume responsibility for this timeshare if something were to happen to me.
      Despite all of this, ******* Resorts have not responded, which is unacceptable.
      We request that ******* Resorts cancels our timeshare immediately and issues a full refund for
      all payments made to them. We also request that they improve their communication process
      and customer service to ensure that their clients are not misled in the future.

      This is news to me. I went back in my email to find the documents and either overlooked them, deleted them, or they were never sent. I would have assumed ******* would have called me letting me know about the cancellation agreement and followed up when they did not hear from me. I am happy to know this will be over soon. If you could be so kind and resend the documents I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to know what date you will be resending them and from which email so I can keep an eye on my inbox. I receive a lot of emails, so again, it could have been easily overlooked or accidentally deleted. My apologies.

      I went in person on 4/5/23 exactly 3 days after our presentation due to reading all of the complaints received on BBB to cancel our timeshare. I was assured by **** I would have my check in 6-10 days. I gave it a full 2 weeks and nothing. I then followed up with **** and he said give it a few more days. Gave it another week. Spoke to **** that said it should be any day now. Gave it a few days, ended up leaving voicemails for ******* and ****. Called again was told I needed to call another number which a lady named **** answered. States she is streamlining my message via email to the legal department. Then when I asked how long till I hear back, she said there is no time frame. Called again today to be told the same thing and she refused to provide me a number for a manager or the legal department. They owe me $215 still a month and counting after canceling

      ?I must express my deep frustration with my experience with your company. When I was offered a timeshare by your sales staff, I was subjected to high-pressure sales tactics and promised a range of benefits that turned out to be untrue. I was told I could travel anywhere at any time for a reduced rate, but this promise has turned out to be completely false. I have since discovered that I was not informed about the additional transfer and maintenance fees that have made this timeshare far more expensive than if I simply booked vacations on my own.When I did finally take a vacation through your company, the accommodations were well below standards for the amount of money I have paid into this timeshare. This has made me incredibly dissatisfied with my purchase, which has caused significant financial distress in my life.
      If I had been given accurate information at the time of purchase, I would never have signed this contract. Your sales staff misled me, and someone needs to take responsibility for this. I cannot afford to continue paying into something that has caused me so much frustration and dissatisfaction. On top of all this, i cannot communicate with this company. They have not returned any of my messages and, at this point I am being completely ignored. These reasons are more than enough proof that I deserve to have my contract canceled as soon as possible.
