    We checked in, but noticed the room wasn't cleaned. Beds were made but the linens weren't changed and the floor wasn't vacuumed. We asked for a different room, but that room also wasn't cleaned. There was lots of body hair in the bathroom, urine dropping down the wall, trash not taken out, and surfaces not wiped down. We decided to cancel and go elsewhere, but three front desk couldn't process the refund because his manager was "unavailable." I was told she would call me at 9am. 9am came and went with no call, so I called and was transferred to the manager. There was no apology for the condition of the place, but just a "Ima get to it" to process the refund, and told me she had other things to do. I still don't know if the refund will be processed. I tried to call corporate holiday inn, but they were of little help because the hotel never gave me a receipt or an email confirming anything. Still an ongoing process. This hotel needs work, with both the facility and management. I'd avoid this place.

    We paid for 3 rooms 9/2023 for a USC game - over $500 each. While unloading food from the car after the game, Front Desk girl (FDG), who parked in front of building yelled at us and told us we couldn’t park there. We proceeded to tell her that we were unloading the food She became so aggravated and told my husband &son-in-law they could not park there- my husband said “We wouldn’t have to unload here you didn’t park in front of the building, That made her irate- She kept needling my daughter while sitting in the main lobby area, . When my bonus daughter wouldn't help her the FCG made a rude remark about my daughter’s deceased mother,  at which point my daughter stood up to confront her and spilled her water and fell herself. The FDG called the police and decided she did not want any of us staying At the time we were Diamond Elite member as he traveled quite a bit for business, and we’ve never had to worry about him staying at a Holiday Inn. My younger daughter had been in her room already with the children because they were in bed. I was outside with my older grandson. Yet they kicked all of us out. I didn’t even know what happened. The police had to go knock on the door of my daughter’s room to get everyone in there to kick them out First they asked my younger daughter to come out of her room to talk about what had happened. When she left the room to speak with the police the FDG said she was not allowed back in - even though her kids were still in the room! My daughter was furious and threw her water, the FDG went after my daughter, attacked her. Giving her a black eye.
    They made us leave the premises so we had to walk around downtown Columbia with a 6 yr old, 9year-old, a 14-year-old girl, 17-year-old
    I called and spoke to the manager and explained everything- he said he had reviewed the tapes that they had, and saw that we did not do anything that justified us being thrown out, We are still having to deal with the front desk girl. They did refund our money,
