    Zero stars is too many!!
On September 9th 2022, I took two very large, custom-made cushions to be recovered at All That Jazz Upholstery. The following day, I dropped off the two matching chair cushions. At each visit, the owner and I discussed the details of the desired work; he responded enthusiastically, indicating that the work would be beautiful. Using my credit card, I paid a $755.88 deposit (on a $1900 job) to cover the cost of fabric and foam.
When I paid the deposit and left my cushions at the shop in early September 2022, the owner advised that, due to supply chain issues, it would be two or three weeks before the fabric and foam would arrive. After several weeks with no word from him, I stopped by in mid-late October and again on November 2 to check on the status of my job. No supplies had arrived and my items remained in the front room of the shop where I'd left them.
Later in November, the owner assured me that my job would be done the week after Thanksgiving. That deadline came and went without a call from him. I visited the shop two or three times in December; each time, he stated that my project was “next on the work list,” yet I could clearly see that no work had been performed, as my cushions were still in the front room of the shop.
During my several visits in December, the owner promised that he would complete my job by December 13th, then by December 20th, then by December 27th.
It's now May 2023 and my job is not finished. I've been to the shop almost a dozen times in the six months that he’s had my possessions and my money. Each time I get excuses for why my job is not complete.
This business and its proprietor have many negative reviews on multiple platforms.
The owner has recurrent pattern of thievery and a 30-year civil and criminal history. A search of the Aiken County Second Judicial Circuit Public Index yielded an astonishing number of cases in which the owner, d.b.a. All That Jazz Upholstery, was a defendant.
    Legal case filed.
