      I had a aortic valve replacement and a double bypass. I also have horrible inherited cholesterol issues. Statin drugs have not helped , ever. My Dr. tried to prescribe me two different meds and CVS Caremark has denied coverage. They also denied a diabetes medication which required me to be without for almost 6 weeks. The letters of denial must be generic because they always say that the Dr. did not send required info.

      This company is full of liars who are incapable of telling the truth. Each time you speak to someone you are yet again hearing yet another lie. I am in disbelief they actually operate in this matter and disgusted by the non carrying attitudes. I spent four weeks trying to get approval for a medication my doctor prescribed for me and I was told multiple different lies from they waiting on forks to be signed to they never received anything back. Then the pharmacys are filled with ghetto individuals who need to be fired. Ive been using cvs to fill my families prescriptions for over 25+ yrs but no more will they ever get my money. Yall dont care about your members at all

      Absolutely awful customer service, and the coverage is terrible. I should be able to go to any pharmacy and get my scripts from my Dr. **** c*** coverage forces me to go to my local ***. One of the *** pharmacies in my area actually gave me the wrong dosages of me medicine several times and then gave ME attitude about it. I really HATE dealing with them. I only now go there because I HAVE to. They also try to make you get a 90 day supply of a medicine or mail order. That's ********. It seems like they want to have more of a say in my medical care than my DR and then they give you c*** customer service in return. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. If I could give a negative rating, I would have.

      Benefits are absolutely terrible. The medication costs are astronomical, and even if you can afford certain medications, they will randomly deny your coverage and force you to go through an appeals process.

      I would rather click zero stars. I have received three different finial letters, three different times for the same meds. First one said it was because I didnt have diabetes, which I do, second one said I have diabetes, but now the added a word after diabetes, that starts with an M. When I look up Wheat the difference is, there is no difference. Just a different name for the same condition! Now because of them, people who have never met me, people who have never spoken to me, have decided my own personal doctor, who Has known be for 20+ years is wrong and they are right!

      The girl at the drive thru window was giving a rude attitude at the ***********, ** cvs location on june 2nd 2023 in the evening around 8 pm. I spoke with the pharmacist over the phone after that incident and he too was speaking in a rather rude manner.

      This is by far the worst insurance company I have ever used. They are constantly changing what prescriptions they will cover. Instead of having a higher copay for nonpreferred medications, they don't cover them. I receive a letter about every quarter for some medications we have received at some point in my family's history that they won't cover in the future and we aren't on that many medications in our house. I have spent countless hours dealing with them on the phone as has my doctors. Not to mention the cost and time for additional medical appointments trying to find a solution they will cover. On top of that, every time I call the person is unprofessional and unhelpful.

      Wish I could leave a NEGATIVE STARS review. I used to work for an insurance company in the customer care area. I have NEVER encountered a more inept, careless and rude organization as CVS. The whole corporation should be shut down for patient endangerment and mistreatment. I have several autoimmune conditions that require medication. I previously used my friendly and knowledgeable local pharmacy. My husband's company changed to this horrible excuse for "managed care pharmacy" to save money. This business couldn't manage to get their head out of a hole in the wall. There was no onboarding team or service provided. Every attempt to transfer my numerous prescriptions failed in one way or another. Dont even bother using their app because nothing ever goes through. I doubt it is even checked or monitored by their dispensing department at all. Calling them is an exercise in insanity. They never follow through or do what they say. Doctors I had been using for years are suddenly out-of-network and no notification is given. When I thought I had transferred a medication, they will only refill when you are almost out and do not take into account the time to dispense and ship the medication. I have resorted to filling my scripts back at my local pharmacy and pay using one of the discount apps. Suddenly stopping some of my medications could severely damage my liver or kidneys, or make me suicidal. They need to be investigated for malpractice and patient endangerment, seriously.

      So-called employer based "healthcare" is a joke in this country and CVS Caremark is emblematic of that. For no reason, they refuse to cover a migraine medication I have been taking for over a decade. When United Healthcare and others decided to farm out their pharmacy coverage to CVS Caremark, they basically told their members they don't care about them at all. I pay a lot of money in premiums to be told that I don't matter and there's nothing they can do! The representative was totally useless and unintelligent. Wonder what her insurance is like?! I will be ordering from another country, where people are treated humanely.
