Purchased a driving experience in Dec 2019. They kept cancelling and rescheduling over the last 5 years. The last cancellation came on a beautiful sunny day that they said it was raining! Now, they went out of business and said to contact your ********** for a refund. ** company won't refund after 5 years. This was no fault of mine that I never got to participate.Initial Complaint

I purchased a ****** racing experience from Rusty Wallace Racing on 2/12/23 and was charged $315.88 on my credit card. The event was scheduled for August of '23. Due to inclement weather the event organizer cancelled the event and subsequently sent out available reschedule dates. I rescheduled the event for 8/10/24. I received an email from the event organizer on 8/8/10 that the event was cancelled. The reason given was that due to a hurricane coming up the East Coast (Hurricane ****), the event organizer did not want to put their staff in danger in getting the cars and equipment needed for the event to the venue in time. The venue was *************************************. There was no inclement whether at the venue on 8/10/24. Once again, I was given the option to reschedule once dates became available. I then received an email on 9/5/24 indicating that all future events were being cancelled. I sent an email that day to the event organizer requesting a refund. I have not heard back. I called my credit card company to dispute the charge, but was told there was nothing I could do because of the time that had elapsed since the original charge. This scheduled event never took place, was cancelled twice by the event organizer with the option to reschedule and then ultimately cancelled completely. I think I am entitled to a full refund of the $315.88 that I paid. I am sure there are many others out there that are in the same situation as me. Anything that you can do to make this right is appreciated. Thank you for your time.Initial Complaint

I purchased 2 Rusty Wallace Race Experiences February 20, 2024 to be conducted at the *************** August 17, 2024. These 2 purchases were placed using ******. Each were $782.92. I was notified by the merchant on June 25, 2024 the August event had to be rescheduled for October 5, 2024. I was notified on September 5, 2024 by e-mail with the following statement; It is with heavy hearts that we announce that after almost 25 years of making dreams come true for our customers and staff, we are suspending operations effective immediately. We have tremendously enjoyed the privilege of bringing you an authentic racing experience. Unfortunately, we are unable to overcome the current economic climate and pressures that we are facing. We would encourage you to reach out to your third-party vendor or credit card company for refunds. If you are unable to reach a satisfactory conclusion in that manner, you can send an email with the track you were going to race at in the subject line to ***************************************************** Please note this email box will be sparsely attended and your best recourse will be to contact the third-party vendor or your credit card issuer. I went to my bank and they said due to the fact it was purchased thru ******, they could not help me. I contacted ****** and they due to the fact the purchase was older than 180 days. They could not help me either but did tell me to contact ***. I need your help to get my money back.Initial Complaint

I purchased a service with Racing Experience on June 6th, 2024 for a total of $820.58. I received an email on sept 5, 2024 that the service was being canceled. I have attached the email with the message that I received. I have reached out to the phone number posted on the website ************* as well as the email posted on the website ******************************************************* the phone number is no longer in service and the email is no longer working. Purchased a racing experience in June of 2024 for my sons 21st birthday for him to race on ************ at ***********************. Received an email in September that the company was closing and I would have to reach out to my credit card company for a refund. I spent $281 and because of it being more than 60 days past purchase date, I wont get a refund. On 3/23/24 I paid $533.95 to The Racing Experience to drive a ****** stock car at ******************************* on 9/7/24. On 8/21/24 they announced they were ceasing operations effective immediately, and to seek a refund from third party payor or credit card company for a refund. ******* denied my refund, and **** deemed the purchase to old to refund. Purchased a race car experience from the business. The business closed and is telling customers to reach out to get refunds. It has been months with no response from the business. I purchased a 16 lap race experience for the Milwaukee Track, originally scheduled for 9/16/24. The race was canceled and was planned to be rescheduled. Never heard back from the company about rescheduling, called the company to learn they had closed. Cannot file a fraudulent credit claim because it was purchased over a year ago.Initial Complaint

Purchased a Driving Experience for 8/24/24 at *****************************. When we arrived at the gate the day of the experience, the lady told us it was cancelled. We have never received notification of this from Rusty Wallace Driving Experience. The website on 8/20/24 had no notification of the company closing. When I check on 8/24/24 the website now states the company has shut down operations and I am to contact my credit card company for a refund.Initial Complaint

A ride -along experience was purchased by a friend through Groupon for a birthday gift. It was purchased in January 2023 for the Tucson raceway. I have been calling since November 2023 to get a date for the ride. Every time I was able to speak to someone, I have been told to call at a later date, the schedule has not been made. However, I finally was able to get a schedule printed out and ****** is not listed. ****** was available for scheduling in February and it was posted on our website when it was available. We are a traveling company and do not have any more dates available at that location. If you missed that date you are more then welcome to contact Groupon for a refund. I was told to call to get the schedule. The first time I called they said to call in November 2023 for the schedule, next I was told to call after Thanksgiving. Then I was told to call after the first of the year. Then I was told to call around the 19th of February. Last time I called they said to call around March 15, 2024.
And you are saying that there was a date in February.
Is there anyway I can still get it for next year.Business Response

Groupon provides redemption instructions upon viewing the voucher indicating you must schedule on our website before your expiration. You did not book for our 2023 date or 2024 date that was readily available on the website. To use an expired voucher next season would incur a fee. Please contact the office directly at ************ if you would like to arrange this. Otherwise please contact the third party you purchased it from for their options.
