    I was traveling for work and our travel agent arranged a car rental from Nextcar as this was the only available option on the short notice. The rental agreement was made with the location in ********************. The agreement number was ******. They charged me a $250 security deposit, of which they are failing to refund after over a month. They said it would be refunded after **** days.I called at the 10 day **** when it wasnt refunded, and they told me to wait four more days, I called a week later, they told me to check with my bank, I called 3 more days later and then it was a computer issue. Excuses, excuses, excuses. The only thing I have is two email addresses. *********************, **************************** who is the manager per her footer. There is also *******************************, scarazo@alliedcarrental, his title I do not know. The third contact is ************************ I have called the site directly and they ask me for a credit card number, which I think is a scam, and I have also called their call centers numerous times, all without success. And each representative asks if I have called my bank. It is like they are all programmed to say that. Defect the blame.I just want my deposit back.

    I rented a car from NexCar in *********** from July 4-July 6, 2023. At pick up I was instructed that I was being charged for the rental plus a $250 deposit for a total of $719. Shortly after pick up, my rental car got a flat tire. There was no wrench supplied in the car to lift the **** and unscrew the tire to be able to change the flat tire. We were lucky enough to receive assistance by helpful strangers who had a wrench that fit the car rental. I changed the flat and had it repaired. Then headed back to NextCar that afternoon to explain the situation and ask for a tire replacement because I felt unsafe driving around on the spare. I was issued a new rental car. Nextcar agreed to reimburse me for the $40 I had paid to repair the flat tire as well as to provide a discount for the wasted time due to the wasted time due to the car not being equipped with the proper tools to change the tire and is having to return to change the car. I dropped the rental off early - the night of July 5th - and was told I would be receiving a receipt to my email address and would be reimbursed for the deposit and additional reimbursement and discount. It is now July 29th and I have yet to receive a receipt or any reimbursement back. The car rental was returned with no damage, regular cleanliness after 1 day use, and extra gas that what was given to me upon receipt of the car. I am in need of assistance to recover my deposit and additional discount from NextCar.

    Booked rental car online. 1) We were told we had paid full amount but when we arrived they also charged us municipal taxes. 2) they have not credited deposited back to credit car. They stated it would **** days. Card was charge June 21st 2023. The 14 days have passed. On the phone I was told it should be done by end of week. Last Friday I was told it should Be credited back that same day or Saturday. My deposit should be returned asap as the **** day has elapsed.They should not hold on to deposits like this, potentially causing their clients to be pay interested in their credit cards for their deposits.

    I was quoted 181$ online for a car rental here and when I arrived they took forever to even talk to me. I waited in line for hours. When I finally got the car there was no gas I waited there for 5 hours and they charged me about 650$ initially and 250 would come back. Well a lot of the charges were for like air in the tire fee or key fee gas fee. Etc. so I feel like they are price gouging and I contacted cust serv. And they had an open investigation and they never messaged back after that and charged my card 445$ which is still more than what they said.

    1. The quote clearly states $296.92 is due at pickup but was charged $407.34. 2. NextCar failed to provide me with a car in a timely manner. The scheduled pickup time was Feb. 19 at 10:30 AM, and we pick up the car until 1:23 PM. It took 3 hours and 53 mins from when we started waiting for the NextCar shuttle bus (9:30 AM) to when the car was picked up (1:23 PM). Time breakdown: 45 min. waiting for the shuttle service (9:30 AM to 10:15 AM), 1 hour and 35 min. waiting in line at NextCar to get customer service (10:20 AM - 11:55 AM), and 1 hour and 23 min. waiting in the parking lot for the car (12 PM -1:23 PM). The delays are caused solely by the rental car company. 3. Dishonest/likely Illegal business practice by NextCar: *********** insisted that we sign the contract before inspecting the car, or we risked losing the reservation. The car was not ready at the time we had to sign the contract (the car was not ready until 1.5 hours after we signed the contract). 4. We had 5 min. to book the car or have no car. We got to the counter at 11:55 AM, and the server told us if we did not book the car before 12:00 PM, we would lose the car because their system would automatically drop the booking. Even though we were on time in waiting in line, the server said there was nothing he could do. This forced us to sign the information fast or be stranded without a car. The server would not let us look at the car before signing the contract. This is why we had to sign the contract saying we inspected the car even though we had not looked at the car. The server then tacked extra charges onto the bill, resulting in a much higher rate than the quote. We tried to dispute them, but he said we had to either take these charges or lose the car in the next few min. Overall, the company did not live up to the quote and breached the contract they offered. They did not provide service in a timely manner. For the reasons listed above, we dispute all charges related to the NextCar bill.

    I had reserved a vehicle via an online booking site at Next Car rental. We needed a 7 seater vehicle. When we arrived at the car rental office they told us they didnt have any 7 seater vehicles available, even though the reservation was confirmed and a deposit was automatically taken. They had no other solution for us, such as giving us two smaller cars instead of one 7 seater. We were stuck at the rental office with little children in the middle of the night for about 3 hours. Eventually, they gave us a 5 seater car, and my whole family crammed into the vehicle unsafely. Not being able to sit fully or buckle up. I then returned in the morning and spent another 2.5 hours with no result. We never received the vehicle we needed. I contacted Next Car customer support, booking agency customer support, manager of Next Car and the corporate office of the car rental. Corporate office promised me a full refund, however they never came through with it. These practices should be illegal. We had no choice but to take a car that could not fit us. We were charged the price of a much larger rental, which we never got. I have been trying to contact someone at Next Car and no one is willing to help or listen. Please help get our money back and prevent this place from deceiving other customers. Thank you,***********************

    We reserved a car for from Dec ***** but brought it back on 12/23 becasue our plans changed. The company's calculations suggest we should be returned $907. See summary of contract *****
