I rented a car in *********** through Priceline with NextCar (Reservation #: [NCPGN10906847]). The rental was reserved at $256, but I was charged an additional $200 in hidden fees plus $250 deposit, including toll charges I did not use in full.During my rental, I got a flat tire. The car had no ***** and when I called customer service, the representative did not understand what it was and told me roadside assistance would take at least an hour. Instead of providing proper help, I was instructed to drive over 3 hours (168 km) on a spare tire from the west coast to ********. I even had to stop in ****** due to unsafe driving ************* a result, I lost 2 full days of my rental because the only service provided was a spare tire. Later, I discovered there was a NextCar office in *********, much closer to where I was stranded, but customer service never mentioned it. This amounts to misleading and negligent information. This rental was unsafe, misleading, and unfair. I am requesting:A refund of at least $250 in hidden/unused charges.A partial refund for the unsafe and negligent handling of the flat tire and the loss of 2 rental days.Assurance that NextCar will correct these dangerous and deceptive practices. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I will continue my complaint through all available consumer protection channels.

I rented a car from NextCar in ************, *********** back on July 5th. I prepaid for the rental car, $250. When I arrived to pick up my car, I was told I had to pay $150 for tolls because I would be passing them daily - that was a flat out lie! I went thru 3 tolls and could have paid less than $10 for all of them. I also had to pay $250 deposit. Upon receiving the car, the car was literally falling apart. The front end of the car was hanging off. We asked if there was another vehicle we could have because the car was in such bad shape and the smell inside the car was horrific. We were told that is the only car they had. Returned car, with a full tank of gas. I never received a final bill so finally after two weeks, I contacted the company to see where my deposit was. I was told I had to wait 15 business days before they can open up a dispute. I waited the 15 days after not receiving my deposit back, was told they would contact the office in ***********. I have been going back and forth since August 13th to get this resolved and to have my refund deposited back since I am now receiving interest charges. It is now September 2nd, and I have still not received resolution even though the representative has told me there is no hold on my deposit. At this point, I am asking for all of my funds back. I should have never been charged $150 just for tolls. The car wasn't even worth the $250 I paid to rent it for the week and with the hassle of receiving my refund back, I am completely dissatisfied with the company. I have wasted hours of my time between phone calls and sending emails with no resolution. I have asked to have my case escalated up to higher management and all I am being told is that it is being handled.

The business is trying to scam me into paying more. Theyre claiming I used the car for more days than I booked but that is inaccurate. Ive provided them proof of my flight departure to show that I returned the car the day I was supposed to but they still overcharged me.

I rented a car from NextCar rental in January of 2025. We went to *********** for my young cousin's funeral. I called them as soon as I noticed to complained about cockroaches in the car and how unsanitary it is. I asked for some type of compensation and they said they don't do that??I returned the car and when I did I complained again about the cockroaches and they said they can't do anything about that. I was later sent via email that they were charging me $50 and returning $250.I waited for my refund, especially since this death was unexpected and resulted in a financial burden. I called multiple times at which point they would tell me to expect a refund in 3-5 business days. This was their response every time I called. I called a different customer care phone number where I was able to do a paper trail. Five months later I still have not received a refund.

Ref: NCCNP10853394, *********************** <****************************************>,<*************************************************>,<**************************************************>,,<********************************************>,<**********************************************>The reservation made through AutoSlash (invoice attached) was charged in full with preconditions, meaning I am liable for compliance or financial penalties result. To the need for Nextcar admin, I specifically provided to actual rental location the primary & secondary insurance documents that combined exceed requirements. But when speaking with NextCar staff by phone , they simply deflect inquiries in order to present a show of admin support followed by no response. This was reported to ******* and *** in mainland HQ (npautogroup), but their communique did not result in desired affirmation that available coverage is acceptable. Why does this matter? This region remains notorious for entrapping renters with "boiler room tactics" that look like this.1) Forcing reservation holder to buy another "off the street" price instead of reserved quote unless the reserved vehicle is "proven" by customer, who is told that rental agency has no ISP,2) Forcing reservation holder to buy excessive insurance (CDW,SLI) in the name of misunderstanding primary & secondary insurance provisions,3) Telling entrapped customer to go back to airport in event they do not like above ********* to review, this matter is a deepseated and longstanding fraudlike operation that depends on the same type deliberate indiffirence on full display now. We can see, for example, my receipt to indicate inquiry is justified. We can see, again, authorized **** at NextCar/Allied HQ in receipt of insurance docs, and ignoring customer to the end of acting in bad ******** wish for contact is two part. First, I need to know if reservation stands or do I cancel at AutoSlash. Second, will Nextcar or Allied or npautogroup make a statement to reconcile how it permits such conduct.

I rented a vehicle from Priceless Rental Car in ******** PR on 16 Feb 25 and returned it on 22 Feb 25 with no issues. The rental required a refundable $250.00 deposit, and I was told that my refund will be deposited into my account within 14 business days; however, its been over 55 days and Ive not received my refund yet. Ive been communicating with the company over email and theyre stating that theyre working it; however, I dont know why its taking so long.
