I bought the Apollo Neuro device for $300. It came with a wristband that is too large for me. I asked the company to send me a smaller wristband and provide an address so I could send them back the wristband that was too large. Their response was that I needed to buy another wrist band. The sale of the device for $300 clearly included a wristband to wear the device otherwise its useless. Their attempted money grab for an additional wristband is unethical and unacceptable.Business Response

I purchased the Apollo for my daughter's anxiety for Christmas. A week after having the product it stopped working. It took over a week for the customer service to get back with me. I placed an order for a device as well as the accompanying subscription. The subscription was immediately activated even though the device was backordered. After two weeks, I checked the status of the device shipment. Though the website shows the device back in stock, my order was never ********** response, I attempted to contact customer service via their chat system for an update. No reply. I attempted to use the chat system again during business hours. No reply.I attempt to call them during stated operating hours (9-7 Eastern). No reply. I sat on hold and then was sent to voicemail. Twice.I attempted to reach them via chat to cancel my order. No ******** this point I've disputed the charge with my credit card company. I purchased an Apollo wearable and absolutely love it, found it does what it is meant to do. However, since their bands dont fit me well, not even the small one (Im a tiny person), when they came out with a clip I got one. Turns out the clip was poorly designed and did not hold securely to my clothing. It went flying into the toilet as I was pulling my pants down and unbeknownst to me got flushed down. I reported this and Apollo Neuro responded with appreciation for my feedback and a $100 discount code. I felt like they really should have replaced it, since their product failed to protect my $350 investment, but I thought Id get a good sale and add my discount code on top and let the issue slide. However, their website says discount codes cannot be stacked on sales and it keeps telling me my code is invalid or expired. There was no mention at all of limitations or timeframe to use my code in the email that provided it, so I feel it should work. I want them to honor that I invested a large amount of money in their product. I paid $349 for a wearable, $20 for the clip, $19 for a small band, plus tax and shipping on all those. Thats equivalent to 1/2 of my monthly income. I am not willing to pay again, under the circumstances, unless it is significantly discounted. I would take my business elsewhere but they are the only company making these wearables, there arent even off-brand bands. I recognize that this was as much an accident on my part, so I am willing to settle for meeting in the middle and paying up to 50%. But I emailed twice asking about the discount code and received no reply at all. Theyve had months to work with me, no response is not acceptable.Initial Complaint

I had purchased an Apollo Neuro device several years ago which also requires downloading an app to my phone. When downloading updates through the years to the app in my phone I have had difficulty with connections and the app would not work. Maybe 5 or 6 times this happened but was resolved in a few days. I recently downloaded an update(going on 1 month) as I usually do. Now the app or the device does not work at all. **************** which I have been in contact with is useless. On November 7th I purchased a "SmartVibes" subscription through this business on the ****** Android platform. After updating their app, my Apollo device has not been connecting properly and the SmartVibes feature will not function. I have contacted Apollo Neuro at least 7 times since then for a resolution. We have attempted numerous things such as resetting the device to factory settings, reinstalling the app, reinstalling the device. Nothing has worked and their customer service has been basically useless. On December 8th, customer service finally admitted that they have a known problem with connection issues based on their new app and that it will be resolved "with a future update". They have no information about when this update or fix will occur and in the meantime this subscription feature is not working with my device. When I requested a refund for this subscription I was charged for but does not work because of a known technical problem, I was told that I would need to contact ****** directly and Apollo customer service refused to help. When I contacted ******, I was told that they could not process this refund and that I would need to contact the manufacturer. This device is marketed as a wellness device that should improve your HRV, which is an easily measured metric by any Apple Watch owner. It is also supposed to improve your sleep. It claims to help you become less stressed, which is supposed to be evidenced by increased HRV readings and improved sleep. Both of these things are easily measurable in a scientific fashion and I have been measuring them since I got the device. None of these claims have been accurate. My HRV has actually dropped further to dangerously low levels (10-20 -- it should be over 100) since I started using this. When I tried to clip it near my heart to see if it would help it started acting like a pacemaker, causing my heart to try to change rhythm in response to the pattern of taps it was being subjected to, which is unacceptably dangerous. It has been a complete failure as a wellness device. It does none of the things it claims it does. I have written numerous emails to them, but their Customer Service people are so untrained the responses are utterly useless. So it is a complete rip off. These people should be put out of business because their science is obviously not good science or they would show it to us on their website. They talk a lot about their science but there's no evidence for any of it. I personally believe I have worsened my heart problems as a result of this device but of course I can't prove it. That would be science's job. I don't understand why the FDA even allows them to sell this thing. The claims they are making would be in violation of FDA regulations, so has this been FDA approved? I've heard nothing about the FDA being involved in this. It needs to come off the market until the FDA approves it because I consider it actively dangerous to people with heart conditions. Apollo is refusing to honor discount offered on website on Nov 21st @ 3:34pm. And I accuse them of misleading marketing practices.
The 1st picture is what they sent me today, in an email in response to my request to get a refund for the 21% discount they were offering with the 2nd the picture I took on Nov 21st. They have now added the fine print to it, to make it look like I didn't read it prior to make the purchase. When I made the puchase the add didn't specify that they wouldn't combine offers. The great price was the reason why I made
the puchase in the first place. And now I feel not only deceived but truly disrespect. In response to my complaint, the CS agent forwarded my 2nd picture, as an attachment in his escalation email to his management. If he is honest and truly thruthful he will attest to the veracity of this. As a response they sent me an email with the 1st picture, which they now have on their website, which is not what they had listed before, and are refusing to honor the 21% discount offered. I want a refund of said difference.
