We signed a wedding contract under Willow Tree Grove Events, INC in November 2020. We wrote out a check for $2750 and was cashed in cleared by our bank. The business was then sold to ***************** *** in April 2021.We were informed by ******************************* that no changes would be made to our wedding in April 2021. I followed up with a bride on ********* that got married there in October of 2021, to see what changes would be made. I then emailed ************************* (*****) and they informed we they do not have a file or chart for my wedding. I sent *************************** proof that check was cleared, and proof of receipt and proof of text messages. I texted ******* tonight asking how could she do this to us. She replied back that it was the new owners, she then blocked my number and blocked me on ********* I then emailed them stating I gave enough proof and that we needed our refund back. She informed me that ******* had stolen 20k from other brides and ***** is trying to resolve it. She stated if they find our money we would only be getting a 60% back. I called the bank and they told me I need to take legal action. They cannot see who cashed the check since it was deposited through online, like being scanned. We need our deposit back, and need to know if ******* stole from us, or whoever owns the LLC is stealing from us. Even though she knew the property was for sale, she took our money, then asked us for more money for a "promotion." This is unethical.
