Scam artist #bandaid "fix" every 6 months criminals take away their license

I have been with Oliver since they put the new heater/air conditioner in in 2015. Every year we paid for a service contract about $190 a year. Just was informed by Oliver that the NEW service contract will be over $300 a year? I asked about a less expensive contract and I was told it is either $300+ or nothing. Currently shopping service contracts with competitors. Oliver is getting too big and they don't really care about customers who have been with them a long time. Good technicians, but greed will hurt them eventually.

Oliver is not what it used to be when it comes to Oil Heater Customers. Without adequate notice, Oliver is no longer offering annual Maintenance Contracts to Oil Heater Customers. We can no longer get 24 hour Maintenance Service and are being asked to pay $300 for the annual Cleaning. I think this Company has gone off the rails when it comes to Customer Service and an Oliver Technician will never walk through my door again. 3/12/2024 Joey B

Rip off! Their policy is to mention extra charges, but not specifically an “analysis” fee of $188 on top of the $89 arrival fee (I was aware of the $89 fee). Not to mention sky high estimate no one in their right mind would pay for a toilet flapper replacement and spigot repair. They advertise doing “small” jobs which leads the customer to believe their pricing would be in line with “small” jobs. You either agree to a work estimate of $1300+ or $277 for nothing. The minute they walk through the door you are hooked. I will leave one star because the technicians were good.

On June 20, 2022, the Oliver team of Dan and Dave arrived at 8 a.m. sharp to clean all of the ducts in my two-story townhouse. I had put this off for several years, then decided to move forward with Oliver Heating & Cooling. They were polite, professional, and very skilled in their job, including all the prep work. They cleaned up the whole area and no one would have guessed that I had the ducts cleaned unless they saw the Oliver vehicles out front! I can notice the difference since and am delighted also with the new heater and air conditioner units installed by a different team of Oliver pros on June 29th. They excxel at plumbing and elecrical work, too!

The team of Dyllon, Walt/John were here on June 29, 2022 installing my new Trane heater and AC. They were professional, polite, and worked as a team to remove the old equipment and install the new. Their level of competency was evident in every step they took. They explained the details of the job upon completion of the work and left my home as clean as when they arrived 7:15 a.m. I have been an Oliver customer for almost 35 years, and the quality and expertise of their staff is what keeps me coming back. We work together to accomplish the best job you'll get anywhere.

Absolute scam of a company. Stay away from them at all costs unless you want to pay thousands of dollars in repair costs that should cost only hundreds. I inherited an Oliver heating system from the previous owners of a property I purchased in Ridley Park, PA. The heating system broke down even though the previous owners had installed it only a few years prior. Oliver had password protected the system so any other HVAC tech would be unable to access it; they then charged exorbitant fees just to assess the problem, which was a broken motor. They charged $2,500 to replace the motor, which is probably about 6-7x what it should cost. While replacing the motor, they also determined that a circulator pump was broken. That cost $2,000 to replace, which is also about 6-7x what it should cost. I've never felt like I've been more ripped off by a company in my life. They're absolute crooks and would not recommend them to anyone.

We have used Oliver for the last several months for multiple projects. They are family-owned, and although they are a larger organization, their quotes were in line with other home remodelers. Their size has also given us a sense of stability and continuity. We initially hired them because we needed to replace the old cast-iron sewer pipe in our 50-year-old home. This involved partially tearing out walls and floors in two bathrooms, so we decided to update those bathrooms at the same time. We had consulted our regular plumber, but that involved coordinating with a home remodeler. Oliver provided all the necessary services within one organization, so no scheduling hassles on my part. They also do things correctly, obtaining local permits, etc., and their plumbers and electricians are all professionals. Their work has been top notch! The home remodeling manager, Danny L*******, has been very accommodating and helpful, and the two home remodelers who have done most of the work, Dale and Bob, are conscientious craftsmen whose skills I respect. We expanded the scope of work to include upgrading our electrical service to a 200-amp box and replacing corroding water shutoff valves. One of the things that I have appreciated the most is their sensitivity and accommodation to our family situation. My wife was hospitalized on Christmas Day and in rehab for one month with mobility issues; she still has to use a walker. I wasn't going to be able to bring her home until she could function on one floor of our two-story home. I called Danny on Monday, 12/27, about adding a shower to the downstairs powder room and converting our sons' old playroom into a main-floor bedroom. Danny and his team went to work, and by the time my wife came home on 1/25, most everything was in place, and complete by 1/31. The spaces are beautiful and accommodate my wife's needs well. We couldn't be more pleased; I can't imagine hiring anyone else to perform these services in the future.
