I am rejecting this response because

I no longer need this service. I was under the impression previously that it had been filed. Their means of communication is to notify you that you have a message in a portal that you need to log into. I paid $400 for a service they did not provide. I understand that they did not provide it because they were missing information, but was over a year since they claimed to have requested that information and I received no follow up. An honest business would recognize that they had not done any work to earn the $400 and would refund it - less perhaps the time spent identifying that there was information missing. If they want to keep $100 for the trouble, id accept that. If they want to go to arbitration instead, lets do it.
    Regards,

    ******* ********

Thank you for sharing your concerns. Were sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the chance to clarify.

Our records show that you engaged our team to complete a foreign registration in ********** for your professional corporation. As part of that service, we reached out multiple times to request the information required to complete the filing. Unfortunately, we did not receive the necessary details, and as a result, the registration could not be finalized.

We want to emphasize that the service fee you paid covers the preparation and filing of the registration, which we remain ready to complete. After looking further into your account, there is no additional $195 invoice on your account. The $399 service fee you paid is for us to complete the filing, which cannot be done until we receive the required information from you.

You are still welcome to log in to your client dashboard and provide the requested information. Once received, we will be happy to proceed with completing your registration.

If you need assistance accessing your dashboard or have any questions, our team is here to help.

I contact Harbor Compliance to help me with my *********************** setup and compliance. Their customer service was active until I paid the fee. After that they stopped responding to my emails. The email responses are automated. I tried contacting them multiple time. I requested for a refund and no response. I paid USD 2724 for their full compliance package and I am requesting a refund.

12/16/2024 $2824 fee was paid for them to completely set up a non-profit company for us in **. They sent forms to fill out, we did, returned all forms within 24 hours. 3 times over the next week or so, the team leader and another person requested the same info over again, customer service *** read the answers we provided and said all was good, they had everything and correct. the next day they could not find the forms or any paperwork we provided. We canceled the order., A refund check was sent to us, deposited in our bank, the same or next day they placed a stop payment with out a word. We demand a refund, they did absolutely nothing, no fillings, nothing. we waisted nearly 3 weeks on their incompetence.

Thank you for reaching out. We have thoroughly reviewed our email correspondence and account records regarding your refund. When we issued your refund check, we were notified that you had already filed a chargeback with ****************. As a result, **************** refunded the amount you paid us directly.

To prevent a duplicate refund, we placed a stop payment on the check, as processing it would have resulted in an overpayment of $2,824. Since the funds were already returned to you through ****************, no additional refund was due.

If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly.

Harbor Compliance advertises that they are a resident agent in my state. However, they failed to disclose that they are actually reselling resident agent services offered by another company, ********************. After careful research, I found that ********************* is actually cheaper than Harbor Compliance. Cutting out the middleman and establishing a direct relationship with ********************* makes sense. ********************* confirmed that no changes to my state filings would be needed, as my resident agent details would remain the same.Nonetheless, when I informed Harbor Compliance that I would no longer be using them as a middleman, they threatened to retaliate by deliberately removing ********************* from my state filings. This is despite the fact that Harbor Compliance has never been an actual resident agent and has no authority to modify my state filings. Their attempt at retaliation is unethical and likely illegal.

    Business Response

    Date: 10/11/2024

T**** you for giving us the opportunity to address ********************** concern. We appreciate their feedback and take all comments seriously as part of our commitment to transparency and customer satisfaction.

In the registered agent industry, it is common practice for companies to partner with service providers that maintain registered agent addresses in various states across the country. This allows businesses like ours to offer comprehensive nationwide coverage, ensuring that we can support companies with their statutory requirements in multiple jurisdictions.

This structure benefits our clients by streamlining the process and ensuring compliance at a lower cost than if each individual registered agent company were to operate their own unique address in every state. Instead, we leverage trusted partnerships to provide efficient and reliable services, and we carefully select partners who meet the high standards we uphold at Harbor Compliance.

We understand the use of the same registered agent address by multiple service providers can sometimes cause confusion. However, we would like to emphasize that Harbor Compliance is an authorized resident agent in ********. Despite ********************** concern to the contrary, we never had any intention of filing to change their registered agent appointment from **********************

Furthermore, we want to make it clear that at no time were our actions or intentions retaliatory. The confusion stemmed from our representative's use of a standardized template, which is typically used in situations where clients are changing from our registered agent service to another provider. This was mistakenly sent in response to ********************** inquiry, and we apologize for any misunderstanding it may have caused. No filings were made on their behalf without their consent, and there was no plan to initiate any changes without their explicit request.

We deeply regret any confusion this has caused and want to reaffirm our commitment to transparency and professionalism. We value ********************* as a client and are fully committed to addressing any concerns they may have.

Thank you again for the opportunity to address this matter.
