Date: Dec 9, 2022 Amount: $1,934 hardware cost, $481.00 cancellation fee Total: $2,415.00 Reason: JM Resources sold me a fire monitoring system for my non-heated barn. Issues with purchase: 1. They do not monitor the status of their devices even though I was to pay them monthly to call the fire department should there be a fire. One of the new devices was failing one week after installation and they had no idea. They said it was up to me to let them know when one of their devices was failing and to schedule a service call. My counterargument was that how can they be assured that the system is working properly to provide 100% confidence that they are successfully monitoring my barn? I expected them to monitor their monitoring system.2. The hardware they sold me and installed, the ********* ****** heat sensors, is not rated to work below 40F. I tracked the temperature in the barn over the last week and it got as low as 4F. The company said they think the solution should still work. They refuse to refund my money and take back the hardware, but the hardware they sold me is not rated to work in the environment they put it in. I have since terminated the service for the barn but would like compensation for the hardware they installed as well as the termination fee as their product is not appropriate for the setting.
