    This Commonwealth financial has messed my credit up bad I would have never known unless trying to get a apartment wouldn't have led me to check out my scores and there it was something from Commonwealth financial that doesn't even show no amount or bill and on top of that they have been illegally shut down for over a year so why would they target me I'm not understanding please fix my credit and take off that collection

    In June of 2023 I was contacted by mail concerning a debt owed that had been bought from other collection agency's for ***************************** Health Systems.I was given 50percent discount which brought the balance owed to $1168.00 to be paid in 6 monthly payments of $194.00.I made 5 payments of $194.00.Upon trying to complete my final payment to clear this debt the two phone numbers I called were unresponsive.I looked them up to find they have been banned and shut down by the BBB.I need to know how to resolve this debt and get proof I paid it to clear my credit and be released from it.

    The account referenced in complaint is a medical debt that originated from emergency services rendered on 09/01/2017 by ******** ******* ********, the original creditor of the account. ******** ******* ******** later sold/charged off the original debt to our client after it had become seriously past due. Our client, acquiring all ownership rights upon purchase, including the rights to collect on the account, has assigned the account to our office for collection.

    Please be advised, a billing statement was provided by the current creditor and was forwarded to consumer on 12/04/23. We will continue to note the account as disputed. Should consumer have documentation or information supporting they aren't responsible for the debt, we encourage such evidence be provided to allow us to more fully investigate the matter with our client.     The account in question is the result of medical services provided by ****** ********* ***** *** on 05/15/2018, the original creditor of the account. ****** ********* ***** LLC later sold/charged off the original debt to our client after it had become seriously past due.     This company has harassed me to no end. I have sent cease and desist letters to them and told them to send me the Info to the original creditor. This is ja collection agency that refuses to send me a 1099c since the so called debt they allege I have with them has been written off.

    The above referenced account is the result of emergency physicians' services provided on 05/06/2018 by ************** **** ** ** **, the original creditor of the account. The account was placed with our office for collections on 09/15/2023 by ***********************, who is the current creditor of the account. Prior to credit reporting, our office sent written notification of the debt to consumer in an electronic communication on 10/11/2023. We then monitored the account for no less than 14 days, the reasonable period of time as defined by the CFPB, for notice of a deliverability issue. The notice was not returned as undelivered.

    •Please be advised, the FCRA compliance date for credit reporting is 7 years from the date of service or date of first delinquency. The service date, used for FCRA purposes, is 05/06/2018, making the account eligible within the credit reporting time limit. In regard to the statute of limitations, the statute applies to the maximum time legal proceedings can be initiated to collect on a debt. Commonwealth Financial Systems, Inc. does not bring legal action against consumers.
