    I want to cancel my subscription on the Mathway but theres no way to cancel it on there. Ive looked on the internet and videos of where to go on the website but doesnt give enough steps on how to do it. When I go into the account settings there is no option to cancel the subscription. When I would try to cancel it redirects to another website and gives me directions on how to cancel but theyre not clear and false.

    I paid ***** for a Mathway yearly subscription, only for them to charge my card and not give me access to Mathway premium. They sent me a receipt for my purchase but still haven't given me access. I sent customer support an email about my issue and received no response.

    I am rejecting this response because: Although I appreciate the courtesy refund for the most recent payment, this is not satisfactory because I have tried to cancel this subscription multiple times over the last few years. I always get the run around from your business and nothing ever gets resolved. I get the same response that the subscription will be cancelled on the date I make a complaint, yet I continue to get charged for many months after. 11/18/24 is the date I finally made a complaint through the BBB, but I have cancelled many times before and still continue to be charged. I need the whole subscription refunded.

    After reviewing, we were able to locate the Mathway subscription linked to the information provided on this complaint.

    No successful cancellation had been processed on this subscription until 11/18/2024, which is why the charges continued to bill. A one time courtesy refund has been issued towards the most recent 90 day billing cycle. The refund can take up to 5 business days from the date it was issued to post back to the original form of payment. If you have not seen the refunds post back to the original method of payment we suggest reaching out to your financial institution directly.

    At this time, we can confirm the subscription has been cancelled 11/18/2024, so no further charges will continue.

    We understand your concern and apologize immensely as this verdict was not to your liking. 

    With the subscription, it is set to bill until a successful cancellation is made. The subscription must be cancelled prior to the billing date to prevent the next billing cycle. The service is not billed based on usage, but rather for services rendered. The usage of that service is at the discretion of the student. You can cancel your subscription anytime by visiting My Account on ********************, clicking Cancel and completing the steps to cancel. Cancellations take effect at the end of the billing month in which your request to cancel was received and the cancellation confirmation will be sent at the end of the cycle. You can also contact customer support to cancel the membership.

    Typically, Mathway subscriptions are nonrefundable per our terms of service, however we have already issued a one-time courtesy exception maximum refund for three months of charges. Please note that this account will be unable to process any additional courtesy refunds. Depending on your financial institution the refund can typically take within 5 business days to post back to the original form of payment. 

    Due to the original charges on the account billing over 90 days, if you wish to seek additional refunds, we suggest reaching out to your financial institution directly.

    We can confirm the subscription was cancelled as of 11/18/2024.

    I am rejecting this response because: I have cancelled my subscription numerous times with the steps you have listed and have still continually been billed for a service I do not use that was expected to be cancelled many times. I am not requesting a courtesy refund; I am due a refund for the entire subscription due to never getting a refund the many times I have requested it before. Other previous customers have received full refunds as stated on the BBB website so I know it is possible to refund more than just a courtesy amount. I have been fighting with your company for years and just need this to be taken care of finally after many years and for me to get the refund I deserve.

    Reviewing the subscription there were no cancellations conducted, hence the continuous charges. We were able to issue a maximum one-time courtesy refund for the past 90 days. Due to the original charge being billed over 90 days with no prior reports of unauthorized charges, any charges would need to be resolved directly with your bank, financial institution, or ******. Our billing department will work directly with your bank or financial institution to resolve the disputes.

    We can confirm the subscription has been cancelled to prevent further billing.

    Per our previous response, while we were not able to reach your desired resolution, we will not be altering the one provided.

    There appears no way to cancel the charges that are recurring. It does not appear as an app to cancel the subscription on the phone and from the website, it shows that there is no orders, but I am charged 44 dollars and change 4 times per year and have been when my daughter no longer uses it. There is NO phone number to call and get live support. We have emailed the support email and no response.

    Mathway is refusing to provide me with a refund even though I cancelled their service and have no need for it anymore. I want my $9.99 back!

    We appreciate you letting us know about your recent experience and are here to look into this matter further for you. After reviewing the information provided, we were able to locate a Mathway monthly subscription which began on 07/03/2024.

    You can cancel your subscription purchased directly through the Mathway website or app:
    -Tap the person-shaped icon (on website) or tap the gear-shaped icon (in app)
    -Select Account, then navigate to the Billing section and select Cancel Subscription.

    Canceling a subscription will stop the next billing renewal from taking place (it does not generate a refund). To avoid being charged we recommend the subscription is cancelled 24 hours before the renewal date.

    Typically subscription charges are non refundable per our terms of use, but given your recent experience we have processed a one time courtesy refund towards the most recent charge on the account. Please allow 5 business days for the refund to post back to the original method of payment.

    We can confirm the subscription has been cancelled on 08/20/2024, and will no longer bill you further.

    Typically, Mathway subscriptions are nonrefundable per our terms of service, however as a one-time courtesy we have issued a refund for the three remaining charges/months inquired. The account associated with the unexpected charges has been deactivated to prevent future billing. Please note that this account will be unable to process any additional courtesy refunds.     Charged my daughters checking in account in December and January and I have never heard of this company or how they got payment information. Scam somewhere and stolen information!

    I still have not received a resolution or refund the company is saying they never charged my card but it's plain as day MATHWAY. And today they tried to charge my card AGAIN and I don't even know how much because my card didn't have enough on it. My card company says to contact MATHWAY. So I have and they did nothing. This is fraud and a scam

    I have been trying to get them to cancel my grandson's subscription. He hasn't needed the program since this last summer. The phone number they use for the banking information is disconnected, and it has been since I've been trying to contact them.
