      On 8/16/25 I requested an offer to sell my vehicle to Driveway. I was honest about every issue with my vehicle on their questionnaire. On 8/22/25 I received an email that my offer was still valid, so I accepted the offer via email, spoke with an agent, and uploaded all of my documents that day. On 8/26/25, the agent said my offer stayed the same but quoted an amount $1,450 lower than the offer I received by email. I sent a screenshot of the email with the date to the agent. She said That offer expired a month ago. I told her the date of the email on 8/16/25 was in the screenshot and sent her a screenshot of another email from 8/22/25 directly from her saying my offer was still valid and showing the original amount. She said With Driveway you only have 7 days to turn all of your documents and virtual inspection in before the 7 days is up. You originally submitted for an offer on 8/16 and the offer was $6,350. There is nothing here for $7,800 that must have been an offer older than the 8/16 offer. That offer from 8/16 expired on 8/23 and my appraisers were even being nice to keep the offer that was expired of $6,350 and that is their final offer for you. You can accept it or decline this with us. I told her I had never made a request for another offer before this and I submitted everything I needed on 8/22/25 and texted her when it was done and called their office to confirm they received it. She then said My managers are passing on purchasing your vehicle due to the ** title, your in ** and your mom is in **. It is too much going on. I really do apologize. Thanks so much though for your time and considering Driveway, have a great day. I called and spoke to a supervisor who said the offer was adjusted due to issues that I had disclosed in my original request. He said not everything transfers over from the third party. They advertise a no haggle offer but when the vehicle is in the condition that was disclosed they change the offer and gaslight customers.

      I had an auto loan with Driveway Financial. After my car was declared a total loss, **************** sent Driveway Financial $22,759.25 to pay off the loan. The payoff balance was $17,184.90, which was paid in full.There is an overpayment of about $5,574 that Driveway Financial owes me as a refund. I have called several times and was told there are no notes or that agents have no knowledge of a refund owed to me, despite documentation and multiple conversations confirming the refund should be issued.I have recordings showing their notes are incorrect. I believe my account was mishandled and the refund has been misplaced. These records include an incorrect total loss date and mentioning of a refund that I never received nor can they provide proof of. I have not received the refund, and Driveway Financial has not provided a satisfactory explanation. I am seeking assistance to resolve this and receive the refund I am owed.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      I am rejecting Driveway Financials response because I have been repeatedly told that someone is looking into it, yet I have received no update or resolution. It has now been over six weeks, and I am still without my refund. I was informed by multiple agents that a refund is supposed to be issued after the loan was paid in full. However, I continue to be given the runaround, and no one can confirm the status of the refund or explain the delay. Ive even been told there are no notes or that they have no knowledge of a refund, despite my documentation and call recordings that prove otherwise.


      At this point, I believe my account has been mishandled, and the refund has either been misplaced or ignored entirely. I am simply asking for the money I am rightfully owed.

      I purchased a vehicle online from a dealership through Driveway Finance. It's been a year and I still haven't received the title so I went to the ***. The *** cannot get a title for me because Driveway never submitted the necessary paperwork to transfer the title. What they do have on file is a signed document by a POA but no notarized document authorizing the **** Without this, I cannot get a title. I contacted Driveway to find out what's going on but they blame the dealership for not providing the title. The dealership says Driveway is responsible. Regardless, it's been a year and I don't have a title and am questioning the validity of the paperwork because I don't recall having to get any signature notarized for a ****

      I am filing this complaint regarding my 2022 **** Edge, VIN #*****************, which I purchased through ************************ and received via home delivery on or about August 6, ******* the time of delivery, the vehicle appeared to be in good condition. I remained diligent with routine maintenance, ensuring that all oil changes and recommended services were performed promptly. In March 2024, a friend riding with me pointed out that the car was shifting abnormally. I explained that the car had always shifted that way and that I believed it was normal. However, his concern prompted me to pay closer attention.

      I have been trying to make a payment all month now for my Tesla model s. I have called pretty much every single day to try and fix this issue. I cannot log in to make a payment because my old phone number is hooked up and I cant get around that and was never given a code to log in without the phone number. I keep getting the run around and now its messed up my credit. Im just trying to pay my bill. I have had nothing but issues from the beginning with driveway. They forget my plates for front and back of my car and any documentation that said the vehicle was mine so I got pulled over and got a ticket driving it off of the car lot they shipped it too. My vehicle has had nothing but problems since the day I bought it and I regret doing businesses with them.

      Had a loan with Driveway finance, then refinanced with my credit union. My credit union has sent two checks to Driveway finance to pay off their loan. They say they haven't received payment. The last check was *** Ex to them and signed for on their end around the first of June. The first check was sent on April 23 2025.

      I have had my loan with Driveway since 2023. I have had my account on automatic payments, but now since they've switched websites I have not been able to see my loan at all. I have been calling them over the past month and they've submitted three I.T. tickets that have resulted in no changes at all. If the person who submitted the ticket isn't working, they can't even give me any information on it. They keep wanting me to pay over the phone, and have no issues taking out the automatic payments, but I don't know what's even going to the principal on my loan versus the interest. Up until recently I had no issues with my loan at all, but now it's like pulling teeth to get it figured out. I even messaged their parent company, ******, to see if they can help me.

      We are deeply sorry that the consumer is still experiencing issues with their account.  Consumers have many ways they can pay outside of their online account, which are also identified on their monthly billing statement.  We offer payments through *** at our number ************ (press option 2), or by mailing a check, money order, or cashier's check with their monthly billing statement to Driveway Finance Corporation at ****************************************************************. The consumer can also call our offices at ************ and make a payment with an agent free of charge Monday through Friday from 6am to 7pm PST.  Until we are able resolve the issue with the consumer's registration online, we encourage the consumer to utilize one of these alternative methods to make a payment.       I am rejecting this response because: the issue is not only with accessing my loan at this point. They also have falsely stated my payments for April and May were not made, but I have automatic payments set up. I have stated to them that I do not feel comfortable sending in checks when there is complaint history of them not cashing them in a timely manner/not receiving them, and I am not making a payment over the phone when I cannot be made aware of where my payments have been going since I lost online access to my loan back in April. This has now been going on for two months and I would like to see a resolution.

      My loan was paid off as of April 22 2025. The overpayment has yet to be processed. Most companies only take about 30 days. This company is notorious for not sending out refunds months after accounts have been paid in full. I have continually followed up weekly but the refund still has not been disbursed.

      I am filing this complaint due to an ongoing issue with Driveway Finance, which is inaccurately reporting a past due balance on my credit report.I have contacted the company multiple times, and each time I have been told that there is no past due balance on my account and that nothing should be reported as delinquent. However, my credit report continues to show a past due status, and the account has not been updated since February 2025.This is negatively affecting my credit score and misrepresents my current standing with the loan. I am requesting that this error be corrected immediately and that the account be updated to reflect its accurate and current status.

      (2) The specific information that the consumer is disputing and an explanation of the basis for the dispute; and

      (3) All supporting documentation or other information reasonably required Driveway Finance Corporation to substantiate the basis of the dispute. This documentation may include, for example: a copy of the relevant portion of the consumer report that contains the allegedly inaccurate information; a police report; a fraud or identity theft affidavit; a court order; or account statements. Upon receipt of the dispute, Driveway Finance Corporation will: (1) Conduct a reasonable investigation with respect to the disputed information;

      (2) Review all relevant information provided by the consumer with the dispute notice;

      (3) Complete its investigation of the dispute and report the results of the investigation to the consumer within 30 days.

      The company recently required customers to begin using a new website, with the loan linked for payment. Since the conversion, back on April 23, I have not been able to receive the issue that my account can not be found. Moreover, calling the customer service line was not helpful. The customer service *** told me they would follow up on my behalf with IT and IT would subsequently reach out for resolution. That never occurred. I have sent 4 emails asking for help to their email address of ****************************************************************** regarding this issue and those emails have been ignored. Im filing considering filing complaints with the *** and Texas attorney general as well. By this complaint, I waive any privacy right between myself and the company. Please respond to the BBB.

      The change to the payment website location was solely a change instituted by the business. The change, and its poor implementation, is solely due to the business own failures. As a result, specific timelines ad to when online payment access will be restored is required and the complaints to the government offices are being sent still.
