I have been trying to get ahold of someone from this company to pay my rent. I have emailed, called, texted and no one has responded. They have a ridiculous phone number no one ever answers. I played the phone game and got some kind of voice-mail so I left a message. This kind of no response has been an issue with this company since they took over. I set up online payment for rent but for some reason it is not working anymore and it just gives a message to contact them. But no one is responding to meInitial Complaint

Absolutely horrendous company, based on my experience with their employees. They post notices months late that threaten penalizations for not responding punctually. They ignore emails and serious reports and then penalize/threaten/abuse/retaliate against tenants for not getting in contact with them about things. The managers will send you text messages on your phone, then pretend it never happened. The employees of this company are outright allowed to attack and threaten tenants without absolutely no repercussions or even attention from their bosses, nor their boss's bosses. If you report employees for attacking and threatening you, the management ignores your calls and emails. They are in full support of criminal activity and you will be in serious danger if you rent with ******* NOT RENT UNDER THIS COMPANY.Initial Complaint

Pinehurst Management has failed to take care of water pressure issues, mold, leaks, and a broken toilet(my only toilet). I have reached out multiple times and never receive any response. It has been over 30 days now, since my original maintenance request. I have requested compensation equal to a months of rent.Initial Complaint

I moved out of the ****** ********** on ***** at the end of June. I notified my then manager on may 4th that we would be moving out and scheduled a move out inspection for July 1st at 9:30 am. I did said move out inspection with ***** on July 1st at 9:30 am. We both signed the form attesting to the state that the apartment was left in/ damages. I followed up with ***** about two weeks later since I hadnt received any paperwork or a check for whatever was left of the security deposit after expenses for the damages we agreed on were fixed. I started with emails to which I got no reply so then I started calling. I spoke to ***** and he told me he hadnt gotten to it but would get it done by the end of the next day and asked me to call the next day to follow up. I called the next day and got no answer so I sent an email. It is now August and Ive been going through this repeated cycle with ***** since July when I moved out. Then today 8/19/2024 I check my mail and I have an eviction notice from the ****** for unpaid rent. The ledger claims I didnt pay June, July, or August. Well I didnt pay July or August because I wasnt a resident and I paid June via their online portal. Upon receiving this I tried to call ***** and to no surprise he didnt answer. Ive sent a email to the email address provided on their site. I am so disappointed in this company and the little bit of trust I still had for them is gone.Customer Answer

I heard back from the manager and he told me that my receiving a failure to pay letter was a mistake done by someone who was covering while he was out. I have received my security deposit refund and am waiting for funds to clear their bank

Pinehurst Property Management handled the business affairs for Cedar ****************, a ***operative manufactured home community. On November 19, 2023 the contract was severed by mutual consent and a new management company was engage.On December 4, 2023 ******** withdrew $715 rent + $2.49 processing fee from my bank account.This money was returned on December 11, 2023. In the meantime I encountered $120 NSF fees from my bank. I had not planned on paying double rent.Today, January 4, **** Pinehurst again withdrew rent and processing fees in the amount of $717.49. I have emailed them and attempted to call them--they never answer their phones. I have also filed a complaint with ****** REA.This mismanagement is criminal and Pinehurst should no longer be allowed to do business.Initial Complaint

I believe there is embezzlement within the company, due to repeated late payments we looked into why it was happening. Cant get a straight answer or contact anyone directly, but the manager of one of the buildings gave us an odd excuse that raised red flags. Company head went on a European vacation and none of the employees got paid for weeks because of it, then it was blamed on underestimating the cost of painting a building. We never saw painters at the building they claimed to have painted.Business Response

I'm not sure how to respond to this outlandish complaint. Pinehurst has never missed a payroll in all the years we have been in business. As the owner of the company I have never been on a European vacation. We manage over 100 buildings. I'm not sure what building this person is referring to, but it is not one that we manage.Initial Complaint

From January 2022 -May 2022, Pinehurst accused us of not paying rent throughout the time of the covid relief. We have statements that say otherwise. They threatened ** with eviction if we did not get emergency renters relief from the ***************. We asked multiple times for receipts that stated no payment was made. They sent a paper that just said a charge of $4,333.00. There were no itemized dates stating which were paid or not. We were told that this was for rent before they managed the apartments. So we did as they requested and contacted the state renters relief. We told them everything that was going on, and they still paid Pinehurst in June of 2022. We asked for a receipt from them to have proof alongside our emails that the state did pay. Never received any. Fast forward to this last October. We were told by *********************** that only $1000.00 was used, and we had money left over to help with future rent problems. We again asked for a receipt to see what they used the money for and how much was left. Never got a response. At the end of November and early December, we asked to use some of that money for our rent in December. We were told a new person replaced *****, and ***** got a promotion. We told this new Person ***************************, what ***** had said before she left. ****** stated that no more money was left and that we owed more in the sum of $943.00. We have asked for statements again to show us where the money is owed. We are receiving nothing, and no maintenance work is getting done on our apartment though we have requested it through their system as we were told. We tried to contact *****, but no calls have been returned. No calls are ever returned, and no receipts are ever given. They send letters that threaten further actions if we don't pay what they want. I would like to resolve this and have them desist from trying to get money from us that we don't owe.
