Had to do a voluntary repossession, I'm aware of the deficiency balance, but between this company and the car lot, the car in question was sold without my name being removed, and was in an accident, to which nobody can give me an explanation why my name was still on the registration, and insurance companies are now harassing me about it. Company says I still owe almost ****, but my credit report states *******, which is what your company reported to the credit bureau.I've asked several times for a statement of my account, copy of the sales report of the car going back to the lot where it was purchased. The car lot said it was the finance companys responsibility to have it taken out of my name, so I don't know who to believe.I've sent in one payment to the office where the account is, and they have not "received it" yet, in process of tracking it.I am making the effort to pay off remaining, but with all that has happened, I can't get a straight answer from anyone. Also, the car in question has been reported as a total loss, according to the car lot.

      Business Response

We are sorry to hear that ******************** is frustrated with how his account has transpired the last couple of months, however we feel strongly that his portrayal of the events is not at all accurate.

As to ********************** name still being on the registration, that is something beyond Credit Concepts control.  We repossessed and sold the vehicle per ********************* request, and provided the requisite documentation releasing Credit Concepts and ********************** interest in the vehicle to the buyer.  We also sent ******************** letters both when the vehicle was originally repossessed, and once it was sold.  The buyer is required to re-title the vehicle with the state, which did not take place prior to the accident ******************* referenced.  Per ********************** request we provided documentation proving ******************** was not in possession of the vehicle at the time of this accident, which he then provided to the insurance company.  Per my last conversation with ********************, the info he provided the insurance company was sufficient for them to release him from any liability in the claim, so if he is still experiencing hardship on that end, it is news to us.

As to ********************** claim that he cant get a straight answer I am equally confused.  He states the credit bureau shows he owes $2667 principle balance, which is also the amount on the deficiency balance letter we sent ******************** after selling the vehicle.   He states that the company says I still owes $4000 but I have no record of anybody quoting him that number, so I would be interested as to where that number came from.  I also show our representative mailed him a printout of his payment history (per his request) and we never received that back in the mail, so we assumed it was received by *********************

And finally, as to ********************** implication that something nefarious occurred in regards to his $100 money order, we strongly refute any wrongdoing.  Per our last conversation w/ ******************** he verified he had put a trace on said money order and it was confirmed that the money order had never been cashed, so he cancelled it.  To imply otherwise via the usage of quotes on the words received it is a mischaracterization of the events.  The fact is ******************** owes us money and is past due on his loan (even after we lowered his payment to $100/month) so we would have no reason to not post any money we received from him to his account.

Again, we understand ******************** is upset with the status of his account, but we are very confident we have treated ******************** w/ the utmost respect, while also following state protocols for repossessions. If there are any future questions to not hesitate to reach out and we look forward to assisting ******************** getting this account back on track.
