Mr. ***** purchased a 2008 ***** on 04/27/2021. He made payments on the vehicle until 11/2022. Mr. ***** sold the vehicle to a third party and then when the third party refused to make the payments on the car, he was unable to report the car stolen. Although he provided us with information about who was in possession of the vehicle, Credit Concepts was not able to recover it. Mr. ***** feels that Credit Concepts is responsible when he is the one who illegally sold the car without a title. Mr. ***** signed a stipulated judgment for $6724.33 and payments of $300.00 month beginning September 20, 2024. Mr. ***** kept his payment arrangement until January 2025. We located employment in April of 2025 and issued garnishment. Mr. ***** has already been advised that once the garnishment expires, approximately July 1, 2025, he can call our office and make voluntary payment arrangements to avoid another garnishment.Customer Answer

November 2023 Finance 2004 ******** Escalade purchase price $6500 with $1500 Down Payment For some reason the Amount financed was higher then price tag. May of 2024 After getting payments before the Payment due date the Car gets impounded outside of residence which I had not known. Credit Concept inform me of the impound and I request that they would help me with half the balance as I didnt have the money upfront but my balance with Credit Concept was paid forward by more than 2 months. They agreed but when I came to gather the money they had already repossessed vehicle from Tow yard without my permission. Furthermore i was a head of my payment but instead they retrieved vehicle and gave me no reasonable time to gather myself. Not only was I making payments each week nothing was credit to my account r accounted for. Also they began charging inflated fees as well as report false amounts to credit bureau. Unfortunately each time I made payments very little would show progress. They were using their power abusing and violating customer rights. The screenshots and files show conversations between both parties as well as different reports to Credit bureau. Unfair and misleading practicesBusiness Response

While we recognize Mr. ******* frustration, we disagree with his assessment of the events. We will respond to each of his complaints individually citing the notes from his account as well as dates & dollar amounts of referenced transactions and/or events.
Prior to discussing the events concerning the impound and subsequent repossession in May of 2024, it is important to note that ********** vehicle was repossessed on 3/31/2024 for non-payment. At that time, he had made just one of his scheduled 4 payments on the vehicle after purchasing it in November of 2023 and was 66 days ($1154.68) past due. He paid $1750 4/12/2024 to redeem the vehicle, and as he stated he did make 3 partial payments over the next 3 weeks to get paid one month in advance.
Then on 5/10/2024 Credit Concepts received notification from Petes Towing that the 2006 ******** Escalade was impounded. We promptly called the impound yard and was advised that it was impounded by the *******************************. The fees owing for the impound and storage at that time were $534.47 with a daily rate of storage of $66.00 per day + tax. We then contacted Mr. ****** by phone and explained about the impound notice we received and he stated he would be reaching out to the impound yard. At 3:38pm on 5/10/2024, Mr ****** emailed us stating he was unsure that he could get the vehicle out of the impound yard and claimed it was illegally towed. He advised us of his plan to request a hearing regarding the impound, however he offered no timeline on when he would be getting the vehicle out of impound. After not hearing back from Mr ******* we reached out via email on 5/13/2024 advising that the fees had gone up to $716.30 and would continue to do so. In that email correspondence offered to loan Mr. ****** $350 of the impound fees if he could come up with the balance. We did not get a response from Mr ****** on 5/13/2024. We called Mr. ****** on 5/14/2024 and advised that we were still willing to help with the $350, at which time he stated he was unsure that he could come up with the remaining portion to get the vehicle from impound and that he would try to borrow it and call us back. With the impound fees going up every 12 hours, and in danger of being auctioned off by the impound yard, not to mention us recently having to repossess his vehicle for non-payment, we made the decision to pay to have the vehicle repossessed from the impound yard. We had it transferred to a secure location that would not continue to incur daily storage fees.
After we had taken possession of the vehicle 5/14/24 we reached out to Mr. ****** on 5/15/2024 to advise him he could redeem the vehicle for $977.90, which was the sum of the impound and transport fees we paid to have the vehicle picked up from the impound yard. We let him know that per Washington State law we would not liquidate the vehicle for a minimum of 10 days. On 5/21/2024 Mr. ****** contacted us and requested an additional 10 days to come up with the $977.90, which we obliged. On 5/28/24 Mr ****** again contacted us asking if we would release the vehicle to him due to the fact he had a hearing scheduled against the entity who had the vehicle impounded. We reiterated we would accept the $977.90 to release the vehicle, however releasing it based on a potential victory in court was not an option.
During this time, we did not charge Mr ****** additional storage, and went above and beyond state requirements to accommodate his requests for more time. However the conversation on 5/28/2024 was the last time we heard from Mr ******* so ultimately it was decided to sell the vehicle at auction, which we did on 7/9/25 with the proceeds of the sale going towards the principle balance of ********** loan.
As to Mr. ******* claim that Credit Concepts is using their power abusing and violating customer rights, this is false. We enforced the terms and conditions of the contract he signed at the dealership. We had no say in the negotiating of said contract and strictly purchased it after Mr. ****** had come to the agreed upon terms. And the reason he saw little progress in the reduction of the balance was due to Mr. ****** not making his regularly scheduled monthly payments. Also, all the information reported to the credit bureaus is an accurate portrayal of the payment history of Mr. ******* loan.
We acknowledge that the events that transpired on ********** loan were not what he envisioned when he purchased the vehicle, but to cast blame on Credit Concepts for the subsequent fallout is misguided. We were transparent throughout the impound and repossession process and acted in good faith to assist Mr. ****** get his vehicle back. It is unfortunate that he was not able to take us up on our offer, but we wish Mr. ****** nothing but the best moving forward.Initial Complaint

Hello, I am reaching out in regards to credit concept and 82nd motors where I purchased my first car. I reached out to credit concepts numerous of times regarding this matter. The car not being visible, having issues from 2 days after driving off. I was told that the car would be fixed even after still having to pay. My final straw was the car stopping in the middle of the traffic road being 7 months pregnant. I told the dealership that I wouldn't be paying anything else into this car due to them knowing they sold me a car the way it was, and to pick up the car being I couldn't even drive it with knowing I would be getting from point A TO B. My issue is the car lot I purchased car from was shut down not long after this ongoing issue, and I was told my loan for my car would be able to go towards another car but of course the car place just vanished without giving me a another car and canceling out car loan since I no longer had a car due to them selling me a car that was malfunctioned. I am now being garnished after years of me trying to get this problem handled, and I can't afford for this matter to continue as a mother.Business Response

Predatory loan Was sexually harassed by their business partners Am now being sued by them with zero prior contact for a $10,000 loan that I paid $8,400 onBusiness Response

Ms. *********** has made a very serious accusation regarding her being sexually harassed by one of our business partners. This is the first time we have heard about this. We are not sure who she is referring to and would like more information to investigate.
Ms. *********** signed a Retail Installment Contract on 11/3/2022 to purchase a 2008 ****** Camry. The amount financed was $10,*********. *********** made payments until she became past due, then she was arrested in the car it was impounded. She notified us that she was unable to get the car out of impound. Credit Concepts paid the impound fees and picked the car up out of impound, sold it at auction and applied the net sale proceeds to the balance owed on the account.
Ms. *********** never responded to the 15-day notice of Right to Cure, or the Deficiency Balance letter that were both sent to her at the time of the repossession. Ms. *********** failed to contact Credit Concepts to make arrangements to pay her deficiency balance, so we filed a small claims action for the maximum allowed by Oregon Statute of $10,000.00. We obtained a judgment on 08/27/20**, case #**SC23**2, *************************. We issued garnishment on 08/28/20**.
Should Ms. *********** choose to reach out after the garnishment is expired or would like to discuss settling her account in full, she can reach ****** ******* at ************ or ********************************* directly.Initial Complaint

I cosigned a loan for my son, the car dealership ran my credit past them In the past they repoed a car from me. for two years I heard nothing from them all of the sudden they tried to sue me for 7000,. I paid over two years on a three year loan and the car cost 9000. they are trying to collect high interest for all the time I didn't have the car. First they tried to sue me now they are being vindictive and trying to ruin what little credit I have, they are preditory and I will not pay what I don't owe. There was nothing on their contract that said I would pay interest for two years longer than the contract, which is over.Business Response

********************* opened her account on 8/31/2018. She was the only signer of the contract, so her claim that this was co-signed does not make sense. She purchased a 2009 ****** Murano from Universal Auto Sales, and we have attached the installment contract in this response as well. Per that agreement, she was to make 36 payments of $317.82 each month, obviously this did not happen. Along with changing the due date, per ***** request, we deferred her account 3 times. The first time was in February of 2019, so she did not have to pay the January and February payments at that time, they would just be paid at the end of the contract. Keep in mind that interest continues to accrue, this was explained to **** and was done to help her out with her financial situation. The next deferral was an interest only payment August 28th,2020 for the August payment. In this case, **** paid the interest due to advance her due date, but by doing so added another payment to the end of the contract. The last deferment was January *******, at that time ***** account had fallen behind and was due for the December installment. At that time, we took the December and January installments and put them on the end, making her due for February 14.2021. After that **** only made two more payments and we had no other choice but to repossess on July 30, 2021. At that time, we send **** a letter explaining that we had repossessed the car and that if the vehicle didnt sell for the full balance, she would be responsible for the remainder of the balance. We also sent **** a letter after the sale of the collateral, showing the amount still owed (both letters are attached). We did not hear from **** and received return mail.
On May 13th, 2024, Credit Concepts received a credit application with **************** and her son applying to purchase a new vehicle. Upon the new address information, we filed a small claims action in the venue where the action commenced to recover the deficiency balance. We also reached out to **************** with an offer to settle the debt for the principal balance of $3778.12, 24-month term at 15% interest. She declined, stating that the car she was buying was for her son and that she wasnt working. We advised that we had employment verification that she was working full time. *************** sent an email that she suffered a major stroke and will be receiving disability. Due to this we have not proceeded to obtain our judgment, due to extra costs and her income being exempt. However,we are still within the statue of limitations, if anything changes for ****. We also are obligated by our agreement with the credit bureaus to report accurately for up to 7 years. Currently Credit Concepts has acted within the law and has tried to work with **** on multiple occasions. There is no reason for us to oblige her request to correct her credit report as it is correct. We also take exception to her statement that we are predatory. We have done nothing illegal, and have consistently tried to work with ****, but she has refused. She has known about this debt for some time and has been notified and done nothing. If **** would like the debt to be taken off her credit report, then we suggest that she makes voluntary payments, or offer a settlement amount. If this is something she would like to do,then she should reach out to *************************** at ********************************* .Initial Complaint

Credit Concepts provided financing for two vehicles, the first being a ******* Sonata valued at $14,650 in 10/2022, which unfortunately was stolen, recovered, and declared a total loss. Despite having full coverage and GAP insurance, Dairyland and my GAP covered the cost of the vehicle. However, I discovered an unfamiliar account and date on my TransUnion report shortly after the payment. Upon contacting them, I expressed my concern about the impact on my credit score and the apparent duplication of payments. Their response was simply, "your account has been zeroed out now apologies," without further explanation. In 02/2023, I acquired a Chevrolet Aveo for $7601, only to find out that Credit Concepts was once again the lender. Unfortunately, the same situation occurred six months later, and my full coverage and GAP insurance covered the cost. Subsequently, I received multiple emails from the company regarding additional fees and late payments. Then, a lady arrived at 10 PM and served unsigned papers to my 11-year-old son, mistaking her for his friend's mother, which led him to open the door. Now, the company is seeking to garnish my paychecks for $1,300, as communicated by my supervisor. This has left my children and me without a vehicle and in an ongoing struggle. I am left wondering about the legality of these actions and the impact it has had on our lives.Business Response

In response to ***************************** complaint against Credit Concepts. And while we are sure the pending judgement and/or garnishment is an inconvenience to ****************, it is a last resort on our end and could have been avoided had **************** paid the balance owed on the loan after the insurance and gap insurance had been received.
We would first like to mention that ****************** first loan with Credit Concepts was not paid in full by the gap and insurance companies as stated in her complaint. However, Credit Concepts wiped away the remaining $4512.57 of her balance that was left after a check of $9567.48 was received by the insurance company and the Gap claim was denied. And there was not a duplication of payments, but the 2nd loan was a loan refinance that **************** came to our office and signed a new contract for on February 10th, 2023. We assume the omission of these points was an oversight by ****************.
As to the loan in question, similarly there was a $786.08 balance left owing after the receipt of $6004.93 from her primary insurance company on January 3, 2024 and $849.41 from the ********************* on February 6, 2024. Obviously, Credit Concepts has no say in determining the amounts paid by either insurance company as they both have their formulas in place that calculate these numbers. We had numerous conversations with **************** explaining this remaining balance, and each time she said she was refusing to pay. We told her that if payment was not received, we would pursue a judgment and garnishment to recoup this balance, which is what she is referring to now. It should be noted that at no time did Credit Concepts pursue any means to recover the $4512.57 that we erased from her prior loan.
**************** failed to contact Credit Concepts and make payment arrangements on the remaining balance owed and we sought judgment and were awarded one in *********** on 05/21/2024. A garnishment was issued on 06/28/2024 to her employer. I have attached the affidavit of service and a copy of the judgment for her records.Should **************** like to make arrangements to settle the debt outside of garnishment, or make a payment arrangement once the 60-day garnishment period is up, please reach out to ***************************, *********** ********** Manager, at ************ or *********************************.Initial Complaint

I financed a car at a dealership in August of 2022. That same month the car was sideswiped and the at fault party did not have insurance so I used mine to get the repairs. The damage was mostly to the passenger fender and did not affect drivability. The estimate was for about $4300 and I was sent a check for $3700 since my deductible was $500. I still had the check on October 17th 2022 when my car was T-boned on the interstate. This time the at fault driver had insurance which was also Gieco. A few days later I called Geico to make a claim for the damage to my car. The next day an email from ***** came to me stating they made payment on my claim. This was odd to me since they had not seen the car and no estimate had been done. I logged into my Geico account and saw the payment was for the first claim that i had the check from. After calling to find out what was going on, ***** told me that they stopped payment on the check and reissued only to Credit Concepts, the finance company, and sent to them. ***** went on to tell me that they did that because Credit Concepts sent them a notarized affidavit of repossession which stated Credit Concepts took repossession the car on the 13th of November at the address they had on file. Knowing that this repo did not occur, I contacted Credit Concepts by email to try and get an explination. I can send those as an attachment if requested. I thought I recognized the name of the notary public so I searched through my email and found the notary who signed and stamped the affidavit of repossession also works for Credit Concepts. They still tell me that i havent made any payments on my account. I was able to get the actual affidavit that was sent to ***** and can show the emails between myself and credit concepts. I made a complaint to the **************** ************************* as well but they were unable to help solve the problem. I'm forced to drive a car that is unsafe, embarrassing, and worth next to nothing.Business Response

We are sorry to hear the ******************** is unhappy with how his insurance claim has transpired, however he left out numerous pertinent details in his complaint that should be addressed.
The check that Credit Concepts had issued to us from Geico had originally been sent to ******************** in August of 2022 with both his and Credit Concepts names as payees. He was in possession of this check for months and had made no progress in getting the vehicle repaired as it was intended for. On September 8th ******************** stated he was going to bring the check to Credit Concepts to post to his account however that did not take place, nor did ******************** respond to the dozens of calls and emails we attempted over the next two months. We even sent a representative to his residence on October 12th of 2022 to address this matter. It should also be noted that ********************** payments were not being made on his loan was (and still is) severely delinquent on his monthly payments.
In November we were told by ***** we could have that same check reissued to Credit Concepts upon receipt of an affidavit of repossession, which we provided. The check was then posted to the balance of ********************** loan with Credit Concepts to off set the decline in value of our collateral caused by the accident. That is the reason our name was on the check issued by ***** in the first place. ******************* had ample opportunity to get the vehicle repaired but after two months of inactivity on getting said repairs (and not maintaining his payments on the loan) Credit Concepts had to take the necessary steps to recoup the money we loaned *********************
Credit Concepts was very patient in dealing with this situation as we know accidents can be a lot to deal with, however there was no effort by ******************** to rectify the situation. We are sorry ******************** feels wronged in this situation but we feel he is omitting his role in the issues that arose.
We are more than willing to engage in settlement offers w/ ******************** and he even accepted our settlement offer before changing his mind a week later. If he would like to accept the same settlement it is still on the table.
Thanks for your time,Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:
I was a month behind on my first payment that is true but in no way entitles Credit Concepts to commit fraud. Seems that you are claiming ***** is the guilty party but they have no reason to come to you about reissuing the check. Credit Concepts approached ***** whom required proof from Credit Concepts that I no longer had the vehicle in my possession which is why the required the affidavit of repossession. ******************* signed as the company representative and ************************* signed and stamped as notary public under penalty of purgery. They both work for Credit Concepts and that is illegal. I was not 60 days late on payments as claimed and they stole the $4300 insurance check intended to fix the car. So tell me how I still haven't made a payment? This was done a second time with the same insurance company for over $2000. I couldn't take the vehicle in for a real inspection because I didn't know if ***** would tell Credit Concepts they have the car and I wouldn't are it again even though I am ahead on payments. The check was made out to Myself AND Credit Concepts, not OR. That makes all the difference in the world and is intended to stop anyone of the parties to cash the check and take the money. I still had plenty of time to take it to the shop of my choice for repair as well. This loan had not been written off as bad debt so I still had time to make payments but by committing fraud I end up with a severly damaged car that is unsafe to drive without and should have been totalled 5
Sincerely,
