    This contractor was hired through my home warranty to fix my air conditioner. Company came out in September 2021 and looked at my A/C for a couple minutes and said that I needed a new control panel. Then when he came back to fix it he quickly told my husband he was fixing what I had agreed to and at the end asked him for $750 to include 4.5 pounds of freon. I NEVER approved any amount of freon nor was I told I needed it. He was here for 19 minutes...so in 19 minutes he fixed a control panel, added freon, spoke to my husband, unloaded his truck etc. My trusting husband gave him our credit cards number but never signed anything. The credit card had been cancelled that day due to fraud anyway so didn't go through. I told them I was not paying the freon b/c I never approved it and neither did my home warranty. I told them I will happily pay for the control panel which I know was the problem. For $750 + the control panel , I would have gotten a new A/C given how old mine is. I thought this was put to rest after they said they would go to my home warranty and get all of our phone conversations. I said that was fine and they'll see what I said to them which was it was never approved. Now I'm getting a letter from them saying pay up! I truly don't believe I should have to pay such a dishonest company. Also they didn't ask for AHS approval until after they fixed it. I believe it was 10/21. otherwise they would have sent me an out of pocket approval. Very untrustworthy company.
