Every 6 months TFCU calls me and sends letters repeatedly, claiming that I do not have insurance on a vehicle that I have financed through them. I have yet again gone to Im Covered on 9/29/25 and uploaded my declarations page proving that I HAVE INSURANCE, the Vin # is correct, the Vehicle description is correct, TFCU clearly shows as the creditor on the vehicle, my $500 deductible is clearly shown on the paperwork, everything is in order as required by TFCU, and AGAIN my documentation is rejected saying it isn't "sufficient proof" and they are going to force their own private insurance coverage on me. So AGAIN I call the number yesterday, 10/8/25, after I have received yet another letter and an automated phone call and I talk to a live person with the exact same documentation in hand that I uploaded and of course the rep has no problems verifying it and says everything is in order and that my proof is sufficient. So then why am I being HARASSED AGAIN TODAY, 10/9/25, with ANOTHER automated phone call saying I need to prove I have insurance?? How many times do I have to prove this to you? How many times are you going to call me and email me and send me letters asking for proof that I have already given to you over and over and over again? My insurance auto renews every 6 months! Why can you not see this? I did change insurance carriers this insurance period, but I gave you sufficient proof repeatedly and you are STILL HARASSING ME for it again. I should not have to provide you with the same documentation over and over and over again. Why am I getting phone calls EVERY DAY for something I have already provided to you? STOP!

I opened a Visa Platinum credit card (ending in -6895) with TFCU on or about 2005 (20+ years ago) and maintained that long-time card in good standing. Without notifying me -- or giving me any chance to know, understand or take action -- Tinker apparently abruptly closed this account without my knowledge or consent. On September 19, 2025, I reached out to Tinker by phone and spoke with a customer service rep by the name *******, because I was concerned that I had not been mailed a renewal card yet. She stated that she reached out to the "Card Service Center" at Tinker and that she was informed the card was closed due to inactivity. ******* further stated that I "would have" been mailed a letter "two months prior" to these actions being taken. I advised that I receive regular mailings, emails and text messages from Tinker (and can show such, both before and after their claimed actions of April, 2025) and never received a notice about the card being in jeopardy of being closed (because I would have immediately acted on it). Given how an account that's more than 20 years old was just recklessly closed without any notice whatsoever, I demanded an escalation and reversal of said actions. ******* informed me that all she could do would be to have a manager call me to explain. This is unacceptable to me, and given the fact that I have prior documentation of Tinker's personnel saying they are doing something, only to not follow through, I have every reason to believe that Tinker never sent me a letter. I believe that they wanted that old account closed because Tinker could see on my credit and bank reports that they were no longer my primary financial institution, and they quietly took the actions that they took in order to force that account closed in such a way that I could not know or act to stop it. I further believe that Tinker acted with intent to cause harm to my credit based on the aforementioned.

Insurance verification, letter of declaration was provided several times via on-site a bank branch and per tinkerimconvered.com.
They never resolved this and keep harassing me even after I provide evidence of insurance, their third party is not providing adequate service.
First issue was the insurance declaration letter did not list Tinker as the financial institution
2nd the complete vin number was not list. All more reasons to continue to charge for insurance and to get more money from me.
All, these issues have corrected by Progressive Insurance and still Tinker wants to charge me for insurance coverage and will not remove it from my account.

Tinker Federal Credit Union will not reimburse us $53.78 we filled a non fraud claim they denied saying there are no valid dispute reasons to proceed on your behalf to request the payment to be returned when we have proof that the hotel reservation got canceled we should have not been charged $53.78 2 months in a row we sent everything to Tinker they should have refund us the $53.78 instead they are denying the claim my husband went under ********** and canceled the hotel reservation not our fault that hotels.com did not call the hotel to cancel the reservation. I have sent the cancellation document to Tinker like they requested still denied our claim I disagree with their decision. My husband had to get another hotel room because of him having a flat tire on his way to Gallup New Mexico.

6.23.25
I was contacted by tinker federal about a past due payment but I was in the impression my monthly payment has already been taken care of. After responding within a hour I was notified about $9.95 balance. I explained to the representative on 5.27 when I made my last payment to make sure I had also taken care of the June payment due 6.16. She miscalculated which caused the shortage in payment. After responding to the call I was informed the bank chose to defer my payment to the next month which inquired additional fees and payments without my permission acknowledgment (despite still being within my 10 day grace period which I would have gotten a late fee on 6.26). The supervisor told me this is there standard policy if it’s under 10$

On a daily basis I'm being called 4 to 5 times a day for a person who does have my phone number . Phone belongs to me. Called tinker several times told them you got the wrong number and they still call me like I'm hiding the person they are looking for in my closet I am not. You would think they would know who they are calling but I guess not . What a poor way to do business especially being a banking institution. I'm looking in to taking them to court for the harassment

I am rejecting this response because: Tinker Federal Credit Union is using arbitrary rules to cover their lack of customer service. ********************** flat out lied by saying they attempted to contact me, but to be honest their lack of integrity & professional accountability is shameful, and to include a military installation in your name is a slap in the face to any military service. Since BBB is unable to provide any satisfactory resolution, I will be contacting the State Attorney General and the *****

I am rejecting this response because: You are trying to hold information for one transaction, that has been settled per the terms agreed to by both parties, to another transaction that has nothing to do with another. Which looks like you are holding my ability to conduct future transactions hostage, to try and get a result from a previous transaction that did not work out the way you planned. I am not in the financial industry, but it sound like questionable business practices, and I am pretty sure that it may be against the law. So you can take this anyway you like but I will be contacting a lawyer, will be lodging a complaint via the ******************************, the Federal ***************** and the ****. Bullying and intimidation are not the business practices of an honest financial institution, which so far you have lived up to.

I obtained an auto loan March 2024. As required, I've had full coverage insurance the entire time. I had a $2k deductible with my previous insurance. I switched insurance in December and Tinker requested a copy of the dec page for my new insurance. They are stating it's their policy that my deductible max be $1k. This was not disclosed when I closed the loan. I've had this loan for almost a year with a $2k deductible with my prior insurance. I called to ask why I have to have a $1k deductible if I'm comfortable with $2k. The *** stated "its' their policy and would've been in the contract I signed." When I asked where, she placed me on hold. She then stated it wasn't in the contract but in the paperwork they sent me after I closed the loan. I asked how they can force me to have a $1k deductible with my insurance if it wasn't disclosed at closing it's a requirement and they supposedly sent me a document after the fact stating it's required. I would've chosen a different lender if that had been disclosed up front. I asked for an exception and she just stated no exceptions are made. It's unethical to require a max insurance deductible that is not disclosed on the contract or at the time of closing. I am comfortable with a $2k deductible and purchased gap insurance for a reason.

My *********** had an account for 14 years with TFCU. Never had a problem until recently & are infuriated. We had a negative share loan many times & never had a problem. Last month they took what we had in our account to pay it on the 30th & the rest was on the first when my husbands check is always deposited on. This month they did the same thing but closed the account. Saying we defaulted the loan & wrote it off & closed it until it was paid in full. They have never done this before & we had checks out that were returned because it was closed. The loan was paid off the next ********* could open another account but it wouldnt have overdraft like our other account. This wasnt fair & we always paid our fees & loans off. We decided not to open one up again.
