Wanted to put heat & air in my garage so I reached out to *********** came over went up into the attic looked around & told me he could make that work; I asked him several questions about the (air ducts) one was do he think I could get enough air flow thru the ducts to keep the garage cold & I mentioned to him about sealing my garage door because it has cracks air could escape; he said he could seal the holes & make it all work then he went to the side of the garage & looked at the ** Unit & said I will go talk to my ********** guy to see if the unit will put out enough tonnage. He reached back out the same day & said yes it will be a great some of air coming thru the vents because your unit is big enough to tap into the air ducts that's already there. So he text me his estimate it was $1,000.00 on how much it would cost to hook up duct work (air ducts) in my attic. Set up an appointment for Saturday July 29th ****** did the job & when he finished there was no air coming thru one vent & the other vent you could barely feel it, so I mentioned to him about the (air flow) not getting much air through the vents he said I will come back over Monday which would have been July 31st & put insulation in your attic so I was nice enough to go ahead & pay him CASH I then asked how much would it cost for insulation he said another $200.00. I thought about the extra on Sunday so I called him & told him that I have paid enough that he would have to fix it right & then put the insulation in the attic for NO CHARGE & I have not heard back from him. I started calling him on Monday July 31st no answer then I reached back out on August 1st no answer; then I text to let him know that he's avoiding me that I was going to contact the BBB & that he is not a man of his ******** told him that he do not need to be in business to cheat people. So I never heard back from him. So I'm writing asking what could be done about the situation if any? He was suppose to text me a receipt & have not received it yet.

    Hello, good afternoon.

hello, good afternoon, first of all, before starting, what I want to clarify or what I want to make clear is that I did what my estimate marks in the text, the same one that I sent him by text message: ***run 40 ft of new air conditioning duct to garage *Installation of 2 new vents in ceiling already finished with the necessary repairs in garage *** The lady asked me to add an air conditioning duct to the garage area and that is exactly what I did... Apart from this, I did extra work for which I was not paid, she gave me a check, a check that I still have with me, which when I tried to change it at the bank, they denied it because Mrs. ****** canceled it. reason for which I no longer answered the call a day later because it is not fair that I spend my money, my gasoline and my time in going to buy material for her house at "Lowes" and she simply did not pay me ..

In addition to this, in any case, it is very clear that I did the work that I marked in my estimate that I would do in her house and that is how it was done... very regardless of what the lady abusively did not pay me.

I'm at your service! Have beautiful day

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  Sent Attachment to response

Responding back from ******'s response; No cold air is coming out of either vent & one vent is not working at all. He told me before he took the job that he could get a good flow coming thru to the garage that the new ventilation would keep the garage cold that my unit has enough tonnage. The same day he finished I told him right then that there no not much air coming out of the vents; he told me that it should get colder later (guess he was taking about after the garage door is shut down) I ran the air all evening in the garage & it was still very hot no change. I called him Sunday to let him know that it stayed HOT he then told me that he talked with his advisor & he said to put insulation up in the attic. I said how much & he said $200.00. Well I then told him that I was not spending any more money on this JOB because I have already paid $1,000.00 & nothing is working right. I then started calling him on Monday to see how he was going to handle the situation no answer; I reached out about two days then I text, still no answer. If you are a FOR REAL BUSINESS MAN & honored your contract work THEN THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN NO PROBLEM with contacting me & trying to make things right. He never reached back out.

Yes I did cancel the $50 check but he received $1,000.00 cash from me which he did a very poor job; no good air vent flow & no cold air; I cancelled the check on August 1, 2023 & the job was done on July 29th 2023 so I gave him time to respond back & no answer so yes I cancelled the check on poor communication. I looked at it like you already got $1,000.00 why $50.00 more since his contract was not honored.

In Javiers respond back to BBB he said the lady (which is me) asked me to add an air conditioning duct to the garage & that is exactly what I did well I had a Heat & Air guy to come by my house after the work was done by ****** & he said the duct work was done wrong that he should not have tied into the same main duct line because of the fumes with carbon monoxide/dioxide from the exhaust of the car, when I pull into the garage it could back up into the vents & get into my house. He said by law that was illegal & against code. So to me ****** endangered my life.

Now I have to pay someone to reverse my duct work back to normal he said he could put sheet metal over the holes to cover it back up to where ****** connected it so fumes want leak into the house so I need to get that done right away. As of now I have the vents closed hoping that no carbon monoxide will get into my house. Point is I have spent unnecessary money for a bad job done by splitting the ductwork & now I have to spend even more money putting it back to nor

    Sincerely,

Good afternoon. Mrs. ****** called me to do some work. The job that she asked me to do, I did. What can I do to solve this issue. I did not respond to her, it is because she did not fully pay me for the expense that I made when buying extra material for her house, apart from wasting gasoline and wasting time looking for the material that was used in her house. what can i do to solve the problem?

    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:

****** mentioned in his response that I did not fully pay him for the expense of the materials?  Well ************** am talking to you........I paid you $1,000.00 CASH & you did nothing FOR IT the line was crimped no air flow was coming thru the vents.. I had to pay a Heat & *********** to come out & reverse the bad duct work that you did & that cost me $150.00 I sent that invoice to Better Business Bureau for PROOF. Two Heat & Air Companies came by & looked at your work & said you went against CODE; he said that was dangerous what you did tieing into the duct work that was existed that carbon monoxide could have gotten into my home thru those vents. You said you would send a receipt to my e-mail address & I have not yet received my invoice I trusted in you to do the right thing. When you left my house you knew air was not coming thru one vent at all & the other vent was barely flowing. I asked you how long were you going to warranty the duct work? You told me don't worry because you will fix it no matter what the problem is & the next day on Sunday I reached out to you & you told me it would be another $200.00 to put insulation in my attic & I told you that I was not spending anymore money on this project because you have been paid $1,000.00. I started not to pay you anything since the air was not flowing properly but I wanted to do the right thing & pay because of our agreement thinking that you treated people right!!! But I see now you cannot be trusted & I want everyone to know you are a scammer that is why I wrote to Better Business Bureau. People need to know not to trust you. You need to go out of business because of the lies you have told Better Business Bureau; you mentioned to Better Business Bureau that you brought extra materials for me & I did not fully pay you, I over paid you cause the job was not done right!!!!! Yes I cancelled the $50.00 check after you ignored me on that following Monday!!!!! I spoke to you that Sunday after you did the work on Saturday; you said you would call me & take care of the situation & I never heard back from you so YES I cancelled the $50.00 check cause I paid you enough for faulty work. You asked Better Business Bureau what can you do to solve the issue? WELL YOU NEED TO PAY ME MY MONEY BACK!!!  My ATTORNEY & I will see you in COURT!!!!

    Sincerely,
