In August 2018 Microtek responded to BBB's concerns about the pattern of complaints and released the following information: Microtek Marine LLC Terms and Conditions for purchases and repair orders, in particular, Sections 5,9 & 14 address the processing of orders with long lead time legacy parts mainly coming from China and South Korea.
Microtek further explained to BBB that the money customers pay up front is not prepayment for the repair, it is simply the charge for tear down and estimate. Full payment is required once Microtek receives the parts from the manufacturer and they are ready to commence repairs.

Sent a 2015 Lowrance HDS12 marine graph to this company....will not respond nor return my unit. I really think this is a scam. They get your electronics and money with no thought to fix or return property....almost a year now. I text him and said just send me back the unit. Tired of the covid excuse. **** called me an *******, I have sent request and called and text........
