1 starOn 2/17/2025 I contacted Eco Plumbing regarding a leaking kitchen faucet and a leaking jacuzzi handle. While it was not leaking at the me he immediately determined that the kitchen faucet would need replacing since parts were not available, I showed him a purchase receipt for the Kohler faucet dated 10/1/2022. He however, said it would need to be replaced in addi on to shut offs if they were missing or defective. He then looked at the jacuzzi and said the shutoff would have to be replaced since it was old and that to facilitate the replacement, enclosure would have to be removed. He said that Eco would not replace. He said that the emergency water shut off would need to be closed and that it would probably fail. His estimate for the work was over $6,000 but said if it we purchased as a package with a senior discount it would cost $5,837.00. I told him I wanted to get another esmate. I then contacted **** L ***** and Waterworks for repair esmates. Waterworks was scheduled for the next morning and a ***** schedular said they would be out that a ernoon. *** (106) from ***** came out about 3 pm. He immediately iden fied the kitchen faucet as a Kohler and said it had a lifeme warranty and if it started leaking again that I could call them and they would send out parts to repair it. ***** would make the repairs if I contacted them. He then looked at the jacuzzi and iden fied it as a Delta and said he had repair parts in this truck. I told him about the basement emergency shut off and he looked at. He said it was probably ok, the water marks on the floor were most probably condensa on from the meter or the valve itself. It would not need to be shut off because the jacuzzi valve was on the hot water line and it could be shut off there. He shut the hot water off, made the repair to the jacuzzi shut off, and billed me $126.00 with a senior discount.Eco Plumbers, Electricians, and HVAC Technicians

While it is possible to address the jacuzzi handle without replacing the main shut-off valve, we believe that pursuing this option poses unnecessary risks. If we were to proceed without replacing the main shut-off valve, and an unforeseen issue arose during the repair of the jacuzzi handlesuch as a failure of the hot water line shut-offthere would be no immediate way to prevent water damage to your home. At Eco, we prioritize the protection of your property and will not undertake any work unless there is a properly functioning main shut-off valve in place. We acknowledge that some other companies may be willing to accept this risk.
Ultimately, we are pleased that you were able to resolve your issue.
