  A-Abel plumbing charged me for work that didnt last 3 weeks and refused to give me a refund

  We have had Justin out to solve a couple of unrelated plumbing issues and are impressed with his work. He explained everything thoroughly and did a great job. Everything was neat and clean when he left. We also had Jeremy work on an electrical job and he was terrific also. We also have our HVAC checkups done by A-Abel and have been very happy with all of the techs. We think A-Abel is a great company to deal with and highly recommend them

  On Tues Jan 16, 2024 (early afternoon) I noticed my sump pump running but not pumping. As the water had risen over the pump trigger point I called A-Abel to schedule an appointment for review of the issue. Considering all the recent cold weather issues I was pleased Steve arrived within an hour or so. While waiting I had inspected my outside drain pipe to discover water in pipe was frozen due to recent rain and multiple days of extreme drop in temperature. Steve completed his normal inspection. Original elbow was cut off to expose pipe that entered into basement, heat the same pipe to thaw enough to allow trapped water to be pumped out. A new elbow with temporary extension was added to allow basement ground water to drain when activated. I will schedule a return visit when warm weather returns to allow access to 20ft underground piping to further investigate issue. Steve was one of original crew installing the sump pump and drain pipes in Fall of 2020. I have used A-Abel plumbers and electricians multiple times in the 16 years I have lived at this address. Both department employees are professional and respectful of my needs. They are great to work and patient in educating me what will need to happen to resolve whatever my, current, issue may be.

  A-Abel Plumbing sent Steve to our home to resolve multiple plumbing problems, and he fixed them thoroughly and quickly. This is the second time he has worked for us and both times we have been impressed. We hope he returns should we need plumbing help again.

  They were able to schedule me quickly and I was able to choose which time frame worked best for me. Sam was very helpful and professional and had my water heater fixed in no time. He answered my questions and was knowledgeable and professional. The repair was VERY reasonably priced and I am quite pleased. A-Abel allowed me to track my technician and they sent me a photo so I would know who to expect. I would definitely use A-Abel if I need a plumber again.

  I did not have a good experience with this company. Had an issue where my water was sometimes hot and sometimes not. They sent out a technician who said it was the cartridge in the shower valve. Had him replace it for about $198. This did not fix my problem. Had the technician return. He checked the temp of my water but offered me no other alternative solution to my problem. I asked if it could be the water heater, and he said no. Had him give me a quote on a water heater anyway. He did offer to apply the $198 to the water heater. Wanting a second opinion, I checked the price with a competitor. While getting some info off the water heater, I noticed water leaking all over the floor from the rusty bottom of the water heater. I was not happy at all that having had there technician over twice for a hot water problem, and he obviously didn't even inspect the water heater. I had a competitor do the job the next morning. I called to get my initial repair refunded and they declined. So they charged me for a repair that didn't fix my problem and offered no solution to my problem. Said they would apply the money to the water heater replacement, that both there technician and plumbing manager said could not cause my problem. Then what did they think was causing my problem? Still don't have their answer to that. I'm not a plumber, so I don't know either. But since I had the hot water replaced, I have had no issues. I would not recommend this company. I will say that one girl I spoke with there, I believe a customer service rep, was very nice and seemed interested in trying to help me out. But her boss, the technician, and the plumbing manager all failed.

  Sorry for the slow response. We want to sell water heaters, but do not sell customers anything until they absolutely need it. Your water heater was not leaking when we were there. Your situation is like many others, something  works until it doesn't. You garage door opens when you leave, but not when you return. no garage door repairman could have predicted that. Same situation with your water heater. You did need a new cartridge in your shower valve. I'm sorry for your experience and can only say I wish you had called us back when your water heater was leaking. I am more than happy to offer you a $198 credit for any of the services my companies offer. Once again I apologize for your unhappy experience.
